    150 - Top 3 Games of a Non-Gamer

Dylan couldn't make it this week, so Bill invited a guest host: Jordan Davis, aka "SpliceStream." Jordan's interests lie more in video games and streaming Smash Brothers and amiibo content, but he plays board games on the rare occasion and has a few that are among his favorites. He discusses his Top 3 games in this unusual episode!

Do you have a non-gamer friend who still has board games he enjoys? Do you enjoy streaming? Do you have any Top 3 lists you'd like to hear from? Are there any content creators you'd like to hear on our show? Let us know at innkeeperstablepodcast@gmail.com.

Episode 104 - Switch It Up

Episode 104 - Switch It Up

Breaking from the norm is crucial to keeping the community on their toes, and when we decide to switch it up for a change, we go all the way with it. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Jason was unable to make the show for Episode 104, which meant we had to pull up the unofficial third member of the podcasting team to the coveted co-hosting chair … Matt Sonnenberg! Who expected that switch, huh?

Because of the very successful Second Annual Toys For Games Award Show held last week, it has actually been two weeks since we dumped a truckload of toys-to-life news on the listening audience. Episode 104 didn’t hold anything back, as news from all the major franchises - yes, EVEN Disney Infinity - needed to be talked about and broken down on this show! We talked about Avalanche Studios, Hermione being shown off in LEGO Dimensions for the first time, Skylanders anchoring the Nintendo Switch launch, and all the new and exciting amiibo news to break over the last couple of weeks.

From there, we read the #CommunityQuestion and awarded a listener a cool prize for having the Response of the Week. And finally, we wrapped up the show with some fantastic emails, as always!

All this, and more, only in Episode 104!

Episode 82 - Bustin' News Before Comic Con

Episode 82 - Bustin' News Before Comic Con

Slow news week? Not in the world of toys-to-life, especially in the week leading up to San Diego Comic Con! Waiting a day to record proved to be the right decision, as news continued to trickle in right up until we hit the record button - and even some while in the middle of show. If there’s one thing we’re good at, it’s accidently having the perfect timing.

We start out talking about some more of the Premium figures that might have been coming to Disney Infinity, as well as the new “Kingdoms” story mode that would have been in 4.0. Then we chat about Nintendo being unpredictable by adding amiibo functionality to a four-year-old game. We break down the massive four-figure leak of Skylanders Imaginators and the secret Battlecast cards found in cereal. Finally, we blow the lid off of all the recent news regarding LEGO Dimensions that’s coming in BEFORE the Comic Con panel.

The #CommunityQuestion was amplified thanks to Greg Miller, and we picked another winner for the Response of the Week. The Inquire This! segment put the expert to the test about older amiibo. And finally, we had plenty of great emails from the community. All this and more on Episode 82 of the Toys For Games ‘Cast!
