On this episode of The Over The Lege Podcast, the OTL Podcast Crew (Stephanie Chiarello, Aaron Salinas, and Amy Lowrey) are joined by Pastor/Author/Mystic Activist Rev. Amelia Fulbright and Happy Sad Clown/OTL Cast Member Sandra Ybarra!
So listen, learn, and laugh!
The Rev. Amelia Fulbright is a pastor, author, and mystic-activist living in Austin, TX. She currently pastors the Congregational Church of Austin and advocates persistently for reproductive justice and LGBTQ+ rights (in Texas, no less!). Amelia writes on a variety of theology and justice-related topics, and her sermons, Op-eds, and essays have been published by outlets including Rewire, The Houston Chronicle, and Progressive Southern Theologians. Most recently, her faithfully pro-choice advocacy was featured by The Cut, The Texas Standard, and Zerlina On Peacock. She is the 2021 recipient of Texas Freedom Network’s Faith and Justice Award.
When she is not pastoring or writing, Amelia makes a life with her spouse, Jonathan, and their two young children. She has survived the pandemic with a queue of good podcasts, biweekly therapy, cold brew in the morning, and an occasional glass of dry Prosecco."
Sandra Ybarra is a workaholic, and a mix of happy/sad improviser, comedian, and clown. Pre-pandemic, Sandra had performed in various improv festivals around the country with comedy troupe Shades of Brown and comedic duo Butter.
Sandra’s hobbies include drinking coffee with a sweet dessert over a nice chat with friends, eating nachos while watching Love is Blind, and pondering her love/hate relationship with bread.

The Ellie Flight Attendant Interview
She flies - and she writes! Los Angeles based flight attendant Ellie talks travel during Covid 19; the aviation industry; staying healthy and avoiding stress, furloughs and layoffs; and of course those interesting in-flight stories. A semi finalist at the Austin Film Festival for comedy screenwriting (including a spec script she submitted for 'Sex Education' on Netflix - dang!), it's an interview you don't want to miss. Enjoy!
