Ayurveda's Empowering Approach To Aging and Longevity (Part 1)- 241

Ayurveda's Empowering Approach To Aging and Longevity (Part 1)- 241
Our modern society has a negative outlook on aging and we tend to glorify youth and oftentimes our elders are ignored and considered to be of no value to society.

This glorification of youth leads to a battle against aging, along with a huge industry of anti-aging products. This is a battle that we will never win and one which can lead to feelings of disempowerment and a lack of self worth as we age.

Ayurveda is the science of longevity and it provides guidelines on how to prevent disease, increase longevity and more importantly, how to have vitality in those extended years. Ayurveda also reminds us of the gifts of aging and how to utilize these gifts, empowering us as we age.

In this episode Colette discusses the following:

    • Types of aging:
      • chronological
      • biological
    • How epigenetics plays a major role in determining our health and wellbeing.
