    LJ Turner is the Sales Operations Director for Jigsaw24, based in Nottingham, where she leads the Bids and Tender Teams, drawing on all of the knowledge she has gained in her 20+ years career. After completing her Management and Technology BSc (Hons) degree at Brunel University, LJ moved into IT Sales with a Telco, which established her love of all things technology-based. She moved into Bid Management in 1998 when she got so exasperated with the poor sales contracts, she decided to move down the chain and ensure quality tenders would result in quality contracts! Since then, she has supported over £4bn of bids and worked in industries from Oil and Gas, to Rail, to Business Processes, to IT – introducing Governance and Process to many of her roles.

    She is a passionate mentor, encouraging and supporting internal colleagues and supporting women from all walks of life. Her leadership and expertise were critical in winning a key Public Sector Covid project that saw Jigsaw24 rolling out 7,500 devices a week to the NHS.

    Her mentorship extends to the Military Spouse Network which supports other military spouses into work or self-employment, and the Warrior Programme which teaches resilience skills in the face of adversity. She’s a part of the #1-of-a-million, a campaign for women in STEM, and the Women’s Salesforce Trailblazers in Newcastle to support more access and progression in STEM.     In her personal life, Turner enjoys motorsports, holidays, science fiction, and spending time with her family. With her husband being in the military, the family holds a love for military history and constantly engages in the social side of military life.

    Chris Colquitt currently directs the operational and strategic proposal center at Clarivate, a global provider of Scientific and Intellectual Property solutions. The team works within the commercial operations division to manage hundreds of complex proposals each year across all geographies, as well as maintaining opportunity pipeline and proposal automation/content curation processes.

    Chris is APMP professional qualified (2015) and has previously sat on the UK APMP board as founding director of Technology. At Clarivate, he has been shortlisted for the Sales Partner of the Year award (2016), Deal of the Year award (2016) and multiple APMP UK Awards (including Leadership and Knowledge Management as well as additional nominations from within his team). Chris has been accepted as an APMP UK mentor in 2021, as well as previously mentoring practitioner candidates to successful passes. Chris is finalizing an undergraduate degree at the Open University in the UK in Psychology, and hopes to progress into Doctoral research, exploring the Psychology of the bids and tenders market from 2022.

    In his spare time, Chris enjoys spending time with his family – especially at the movies, growing at the family allotment and training together in Taekwondo. He studies and is an avid runner, having recently completed a 100Km ultramarathon in London (with more booked for 2022). He loves camping, and is an active volunteer for local community ventures such as Greenslate community farm in Wigan.

    With 10 years of experience, Katherine Becchina brings a unique background in event planning and strategic proposal, and marketing management in the A/E/C industry. She collaborates with sales teams to preposition for multi-million dollar business opportunities, develop compliant and responsive proposals, and create compelling content for shortlist interviews. This experience includes managing the proposal process, writing and co-authoring technical content, and designing the proposal response in Adobe InDesign. She leads and coaches capture teams in shortlist strategy sessions, interview preparation, and presentation development for client-facing and industry-focused events.
    Katherine continually seeks opportunities for professional growth and development. When not working on marketing initiatives or upcoming deadlines, Hayley enjoys traveling (currently, she is working towards visiting every country in Central America), road-tripping throughout the United States, and finding excitement and adventure in each day.

    Tara Kowalke is the Manager of Global Sales Proposals for BlackLine, a publicly traded SaaS company, where she leads a team of proposal professionals to execute highly technical responses for ITQs, RFPs, RFIs, etc. The vast majority of their work falls in the B2B space but Tara lived in the SLED world for years in previous roles, so she is well-versed in the nuances of all different types of companies, industries and understanding the challenges that arise as technology advances. She prides herself on leading a team of individuals with a “can do” attitude, who ensure all deadlines are met, all internal clients around the world are happy, and that they are utilizing all resources at their disposal to get the job done.

    Tara has been in the proposal industry for 10+ years and is an active member of APMP’s California Chapter where she sits on the board as Director of Events. Her term began just as COVID was sweeping the world, so in lieu gathering at in-person events, she has been hosting monthly “West Coast Coffee Roasts” on the 3rdThursday of every month on a range of topics, all are welcome to join! Prior to her time in California, she was a member of the Greater Midwest chapter and is looking forward to seeing her proposal friends at Bid and Proposal Con this fall in Denver, as well as helping to host the California Chapter’s Annual “Training Day” also this fall at Disneyland. She obtained her Foundation Certification in 2017 and was a named as an APMP “40 Under 40” in 2018. Over the past several years she has enjoyed being an active participant in the California Chapter’s mentorship program, both as a mentor and mentee and is currently studying for her Practitioner Exam that she hopes to pass later this summer.

    While in college Tara earned a B.A. in Political Science from St. Cloud State University and was a Legislative Intern at the Minnesota Senate during the same timeframe that Jesse “The Body” Ventura was Governor. Earlier in her career Tara was a paralegal for a number of years at some of the top firms in the country, where she was affectionately nicknamed “TaraLegal.”

    With roots in the Midwest (Minneapolis and Chicago), she has lived all over the country and has called Los Angeles home for the past 3 years with her son Jefferson who is 12 years old (12.5 if you ask him). Together they enjoy hiking, volunteering, yoga, traveling, crafting, board games, watching The Office, Survivor and all the cooking shows. She is also an avid runner, NPR junkie, sports fan, philanthropist, and writer working on her first book! Tara and her family enjoy time at her parent’s lake house in Minnesota whenever they can get away and she and her son love exploring National Parks.

She is a certified proposal manager by the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) and is the former APMP Greater Midwest Chapter Communications Chair.
