    In this episode, we talked with Head Coach Janell Crayton;

    Coach Crayton has an extensive resume of leadership on and off the court and comes from Kennesaw State University where she served two years as assistant coach/recruiting coordinator. Prior to Kennesaw State, she worked under Coach David Six at Hampton University where she was a part of three straight winning seasons which included a place in the NCAA tournament in 2016-17. Prior to Hampton, Coach Crayton also served a well-respected list of other fine institutions including UNC Asheville, the College of William and Mary, Colgate University, Oberlin College, and Oglethorpe.

    Off the court, Coach Crayton served as a Campaign Associate for The United Way of Greater Atlanta where she led multiple fundraising campaigns and coordinated with large corporate partners to help raise tens of thousands of dollars for the organization.

    An amazing athlete, Coach Crayton boasts international playing experience that includes stops throughout the Czech Republic and Izmir, Turkey, where she also ran youth camps. Coach Crayton also had the opportunity to teach basketball fundamentals to high school students at Wesley Girls School in Ghana West Africa.

    On this week’s Florida Classic edition we have a former Bethune-Cookman Football standout and current Special teams coordinator Ryan Lewis Sr. @stayready12. On this episode we discuss what it was like for him growing up in Pompano beach, FL, how he got involved in sports and who inspired him early on. We also talked about his high school experience playing with future NFL stars like Patrick Peterson and JT Thomas and why he decided to attend Bethune-Cookman University over his mom’s alma mater Florida A&M University. We went on to discuss his early challenges, lesson his learned during freshman year and ultimately how he was able to become one of the best players in school history. Finally we discussed his NFL opportunity and why it didn’t work out and how he ended becoming the youngest defensive coordinator in college football. Truly an outstanding episode that you don’t want to miss.

He talked about his love for basketball and how he didn’t think football would be apart of his future. We went on to discuss why he decided to give football a shot and how that led him to receive a full scholarship to play at Bethune - Cookman University. We also spoke about the challenges he faced early in his college career before eventually going on to have a stellar career. He went on to share what it was like to go undrafted and having to work his way up from the practice squad to a key contributor. Finally, he spoke about some of the challenges he faced in the NFL by not fully understanding the business and how that lack of knowledge impacted his career. We also spoke about the culture at an HBCU and how it has had a lasting impact on her. She went on to share how she made it to the pro level and how she use those experiences to help guide the players she coaches.     Nick Collins talks Packers career, Super Bowl 45 & Aaron Rodgers

    Former Green Bay Packers All-Pro safety Nick Collins discussed his seven-year NFL career.

    Despite a career-ending neck injury, Collins is a member of the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame, the Bethune-Cookman University Hall of Fame and the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Hall of Fame.

    Collins shared his memories of playing in Super Bowl 45, which included a pick 6 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also talked about playing alongside Aaron Rodgers, Charles Woodson and Atari Bigby.
