It's one thing to see yourself in a certain way, but when imposter syndrome starts to creep in, you begin to question how you see yourself. I do believe that imposter syndrome is very normal and that one part of addressing it is to recognize that it exists. In this episode, I shared what it looks like to go through imposter syndrome and some of the tools that I am keeping in my handbook to help me work through those feelings of being an imposter.

Closing the Gap: African & African American Women Pt.1

Ever since colonization the African continent and the enslavement of Black People in the United States, there has been a deliberate and consistent efforts to keep African Women and African American women from connecting. 

Be it the cultural differences or stereotypes seeded by propaganda that distance us, we are so much more alike than we are different. We simply need to have the conversations. Can you imagine how much more powerful we would be as Black Women, from all over the world, if African Women and African American Women closed the gap and fortified our relationships?

In this 2017 interview Kirk and Tammy Franklin tell us the story of how they met and what it was like to combine not only their perspectives on what they wanted their marriage to look like, but their parenting styles as well. Throughout their love story, the Franklins noticed that they were somehow always a part of each other's lives and with Kirk being a minister of music, he picked up on those signs from God which led the two to marriage.
