Jimmy Fee - The Toughest Job Everybody Wants

Jimmy Fee - The Toughest Job Everybody Wants

As Editor of On The Water Jimmy has to fish a lot and fortunately for On The Water Magazine Jimmy is up to the challenge. All joking aside it's no small task to have the versatility and the expertise to teach others a stunning array of fishing techniques from center pinning for steelhead to deep dropping swordfish. Fact is Jimmy Fee is a talented and curious angler who might be the best guy for the job he has. Case in point a few years ago I heard of a whisper of a local squeteague bite and I was immediately excited up to catch one. So I go to Google to learn a bit about jigging and the first result was an article written by Jimmy only a few days prior. Further proof that he has his finger on the pulse of New England recreational fishing. Join us for a great chat with a great guy.

Episode 71: South West Victorian Southern Bluefin Tuna With Luke Smith

Southern Bluefin Tuna have become a genuine target for South West Victoria's lure fishermen in recent years. Advances in trailerboat technology have opened new waters, while recovery of the SBT fishery means more fish are coming close to the coastline. It all adds up to a spectacular fishing opportunity!

Warrnambool fishing identity and sponsored angler Luke Smith spends a lot of time working on the tuna charter boats and has learned plenty about catching this ocean speedster. In this episode Luke explains how we can all get in on the act with Southern Bluefin Tuna.

Volatility Review: VIX options were absolutely crushed this week. Apple after earnings and its effect on NASDAQ vol. Don and Sebastian weigh in on VVIX.

Volatility Viewpoint: Volatility Views welcomes back Euan Sinclair, author and risk manager at Bluefin Trading, to discuss risk management and his work on the barrier (or first time) method for calculating volatility. Euan gives a quick sneak preview of the updates to his book. The group also discusses Euan's opinion on vol of vol, and if the universe of ETPs has dramatically affected the vol of vol.

Crystal Ball: Sebastian is looking at a 14-handle in the VIX and observed that S&P realized volatility was already in the 14s and would probably maintain those levels. Now that Apple's earnings are out of the way, what to look for in the NASDAQ? Getting close to the summer doldrums.
