Week 33: Miracle of Haller, Bayern Revolution 2.0(?), Relegation Stand-Off & Erling Haaland

Week 33: Miracle of Haller, Bayern Revolution 2.0(?), Relegation Stand-Off & Erling Haaland

Jan Åge Fjørtoft (@JanAageFjortoft)  and Markus Fjortoft (@MarkusFjortoft)  kick off with the miracle of Sébastien Haller, whose two goals propel Dortmund towards a potential Bundesliga title and signal the possible end of Bayern's 10-year reign, following RB Leipzig's stunning victory at the Allianz Arena. However, the final chapter of this thrilling Bundesliga season is yet to be written, and while Bayern is in need of change, historical precedent suggests they have triumphed in similar circumstances in the past.

Meanwhile, Stuttgart and Hoffenheim secure convincing wins, while Schalke and Bochum salvage a fighting chance with their late equalizers. Lastly, Jan was in Manchester yesterday as City celebrated their Premier League title victory. He had the opportunity to talk to Erling and Alfie Haaland pitchside, marking an incredible journey that began in Norway, continued through Austria and Germany, and has now brought them to England.

Player's Corner w/ RB Leipzig & Norway International Ørjan Nyland

Player's Corner w/ RB Leipzig & Norway International Ørjan Nyland

Jan Åge Fjørtoft (@JanAageFjortoft) and Markus Fjørtoft (@MarkusFjortoft) had the pleasure of talking to RB Leipzig Goalkeeper, Norwegian International, and former Premier League goalkeeper for our first guest in the "Player´s Corner".

Following a break-out season at Norwegian Championship club Hødd, in which he won the Norwegian Cup and became MOTM in the final, he made his way to Molde and Ole Gunnar Solskjær before heading to his first period in the Bundesliga with FC Ingolstadt under Ralph Hasenhüttl. He stayed there for three years before heading to England where he had various stints in the Championship and Premier League, most notably with Aston Villa. He has 40 caps for Norway and signed for RB Leipzig in October for the remainder of the season.

Ørjan was kind and open enough to share his football journey, from an ambitious and hugely talented young goalkeeper in Norway, to a more experienced and mature goalkeeper now back in Germany. Enjoy!
