Cross Roads is a 2002 Teen Road Comedy Drama Romance… it’s a lot of things, directed by Tamra Davis with screenplay by Shona Rhimes. Crossroads is the story of Lucy, played by Britney Spears, Mimi played by Taryn Manning and Kit played by Zoe Saldana. Lucy, Mimi and Kit were childhood best friends but grew apart as they entered highschool. Now as seniors, Mimi pulls the trio back together to recover a wish box from their childhood… they all agree to join Mimi on a trip to Los Angeles. Mimi is traveling to LA for a singing audition, she also happens to be 5 months pregnant, Kit is going to see her boyfriend at UCLA and Lucy is looking for her estranged mother in Arizona along the way. They also get a very helpful ride from a Ben Kimble played by Anson Mount, that is your lead in for Crossroads.

It’s a not entirely merry episode of Media Path with some hard but cautionary truths about guardianships AND, a new Christmas musical that celebrates our festive diversity.

Greg Thirloway and Maurice Godin are launching a new musical called Oy To The World, that celebrates the Jewish composers who brought us so many carol classics like Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, Oh, Holy Night and I’ll Be Home For Christmas. Then, we're speaking with investigative journalist, Diane Dimond whose new book about the dangers of guardianship is required reading in a Post-#FreeBritney world.

Oy To The World: Christmas With A Twist will premiere, December 14-23, at North Hollywood's El Portal Theatre:  Greg and Maurice give us a sneak peak into their new show which takes place at a Catskills lodge where the new owner decides to put on a Christmas show. In so doing, Christmas carol backstories emerge. Did you know, for example that Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer is inspired by writer Bob May being teased as a child about his “Jewish” nose? So, yes, not just Jesus, but also Rudolph was Jewish!

Diane joins us to discuss her new book, We’re Here To Help: When Guardianship Goes Wrong. She shares her extensive research into the dangerously secretive and insular “legal” practices which lead to citizens losing control of their finances and their freedom. The guardianship or conservatorship systems in the U.S. are state-run,

largely unregulated and increasingly populated by financially motivated predators.

As we’ve learned from Britney, anyone who has saved some money or who is earning money is at risk. Diane offers shocking examples of the system’s dysfunction and the victims and devastated family members left in its destructive wake. Diane also offers solutions and tips for keeping yourself and your family members safe. As a generation of Boomers continues aging, it is vitally important that we address, amend and federalize guardianship law.

Plus, Fritz and Weezy are recommending the new Joan Baez documentary on Prime and Apple TV, I Am Noise and a new crazy cult doc mini-series on Max, Love Has Won: The Cult of Mother God.

Welcome to Episode 154! A lot has happened while The Boys were away for the holiday!  What a session it was for the Supreme Trash...errrrr Supreme Court.  The highest court in the "United" States has been a roll recently and the lead story in the media early this summer and it's easy to see why.  That's what The Boys are delving into this week.

It's been a year since the landmark decision of Roe vs. Wade was overturned by the Supreme Trash (read SCOTUS) and rocketed the court to front page news with the statements and antics of many Christian Conservative judges who were lobbying for cases to add to the docket this session on decisions they wanted to see overturned which were decided (not in their favor) during their tenure.  Oh, and there are optics issues and potentially inappropriate (illegal?) behavior by those very same vocal and highly visible ultra conservative judges.  Mark & Casey are delving into all the tea and sharing their thoughts and "challenges" to rulings and others supporting the trash.  It's open season apparently and there is a lot to be said on the subject!

In this week's Trash Talk,  Casey & Mark are discussing a viral video which has showed the foolery that transpired at a Las Vegas casino involving a couple of famous folks, the Emmy nominations, and the SAG-AFTRA strike.

And of course, The Boys are filling you in  on their vacation as well as an item or two of what's happened upon their return.

This one's topical.  It's major. It's tea.  So pour yourself a nice cool one and pull up your seat at the table with your GBFF. Get ready -- it's time to Paint!
