    Brown Sugar (2002)

Valentine's Day is almost upon us and what better time to revisit a romantic comedy from just over twenty years ago?  This one stars Sanaa Lathan and Taye Diggs as two childhood friends who initially bonded through their love of hip-hop music and have remained best friends through adulthood while also both working in the world of hip-hop.  But now as they both live in New York City, their lives are getting a bit more complicated as one of them is about to be married....and wouldn't you know it, they MIGHT want to be more than friends.  This rom-com - which blends of elements of When Harry Met Sally and Jerry Maguire - was directed by Rick Famuyiwa and also stars Mos Def and Queen Latifah.

DIY Jaggery Face Mask for Soft, Blemish-Free Skin

DIY Jaggery Face Mask for Soft, Blemish-Free Skin

If you have been trying to find alternatives to white sugar, chances are that you have heard of jaggery. Jaggery (also called “gur” in Hindi) is an unprocessed sugar that has been used in Ayurveda as a natural sweetener. Many people use jaggery to sweeten their coffee or tea, but did you know that it can also be used on your skin? When used properly, jaggery can shed dead cells and promote soft, blemish-free skin.

In this episode of the podcast, you will learn how to make a DIY face mask using jaggery. This home remedy is gentle on your skin and can help you achieve a soft, blemish-free complexion. Jaggery, just like our Payaya & Sugar Mask, is capable of exfoliating your skin and revealing that glowing skin underneath. To learn how to make this jaggery-based home remedy, please listen to this episode.
