Ep. 54 - After the Cheers

Ep. 54 - After the Cheers

We all love to be appreciated.  Most of us enjoy accolades and cheers for what we do.  But really life isn't fueled by that, or is it?  If we feed off of support as a means to carry on, what will we do when the crowds stop cheering?  Are you equipped to have a deeper purpose than recognition by others?  And if this is something you have struggled with, what can you do to build stronger resolve, and maybe even receive a few more cheers?  Let's look at the heart of integrity and how it can beat strongly with or without applause.

    - How to appreciate the cheers of others

    - How to have conviction deeper than the accolades of others

    - How to acknowledge when you might not be acting for the right reasons

    - How to find deeper meaning that just the reaction of others

    - What can we do to grow in integrity, with the cheers, and even without them

    3: Holiday Hazards and Cheer

"The holidays: a crash course in picking your battles, and practicing your coping skills.  Good luck!"

    Episode 3

Ho-effing-ho, fellow misfits!  This week, we're discussing how to survive the holidays -- especially when your holiday turns out differently than the trademark Hallmark card.  This time of year is full of all the different scenarios to drive us all clinically crazy: massive expenses, in-laws and family that know how to press our buttons, loved ones who we wish were there to celebrate with us...  Let's talk about how we can get through the bad, and revel in the goodness that's ripe in December.

This week's Q&A: our bank teller sends us a follow up question; we help her sort out the pickle she's gotten herself into with her boss.  And, we help a "punching bag" punch back against his irate mother-in-law.

    Bold For Christ

    Bold For Christ
We're told to live our lives in such a way that we are a walking advertisement for the value and goodness of the Gospel and yet, if we really look at our lives, they exemplify the false value of sin and self and pride. David was as bold as it gets, refusing to be backed down by a giant but instead being backed up by all of heaven and the Word of God, David turned history upside down on it's head and proved to every hater that those who are bold in their stand for God are always the winners!
