    150. Win Over Worry with Keri Eichberger

    150. Win Over Worry with Keri Eichberger

Welcome back to the kitchen table. Worry is something we all grapple with at some point in our lives, especially in motherhood. Worry is often an overwhelming feeling that keeps us up at night, questioning the future and fearing the unknown. Join Bethany in this heartfelt conversation with dear friend Keri as they delve into the nature of worry, the power of faith, and the reminder that, above all, God is in control. Listen as Keri and Bethany unpack the wisdom and knowledge found in Keri’s book Win Over Worry.

In today's world, we've found ourselves wrapped up in our worries, and every day brings new challenges and uncertainties. Recognizing that sitting in this state doesn't move us toward a solution is vital. Instead, it keeps us stuck. We often try to regain a sense of control in our lives when faced with worry. We attempt to manage situations and outcomes, failing to acknowledge that God is ultimately in control.

Keri emphasizes the importance of writing the truths of God on our hearts and understanding the depth of His unconditional love for us. Keri and Bethany's conversation is encouraging and a reminder that we all struggle with worry. But by embracing the truths of God, we can navigate life's challenges with confidence, knowing that he is in control, loves us unconditionally, and has everything in his hands.

    134. When Our Thoughts Condemn Us in Motherhood

    134. When Our Thoughts Condemn Us in Motherhood

Bethany welcomes you to the kitchen table this week for a crucial conversation on combating the thoughts that turn our minds into a battlefield with the enemy. In motherhood, we make mistakes and messes, but the enemy aims to bring us into a place of regret and sadness. Bethany inspires confidence and discernment on how to handle the thoughts that come against us.

Bethany holds tight to the importance of guarding our minds and thoughts against harmful and destructive influences and to seek the truth of God's word as a source of wisdom, guidance, and spiritual protection. Christ chose you, he knows you'll make mistakes, but he doesn't plan to condemn you for them. He will invest in you.

Sit with Bethany as she uses scripture, truth, and guidance to help you uncover the power to discern the enemy so that you can declare yourself in Christ and allow his voice to be louder. The enemy wants you to believe that you're doing it all wrong, but mamas, you're not the words, the voices, or the thoughts the enemy feeds you. When you have a stronghold on the Lord's promises and his voice, you can learn to navigate motherhood from a place of peace. You'll begin to understand that you're not meant to do it perfectly.

    130. Understanding Motherhood as an Investment Pt 2

Welcome back to the kitchen table, Bethany invites listeners to continue the conversation on leading a life of investment. Last week Bethany introduced this concept, and in today's episode, Bethany dives deeper into how it practically plays into our lives and in motherhood.

We are called to be investors and cultivators, and Bethany gives word pictures and scriptures to help listeners not only understand but apply this to their daily lives. We are called to be cultivators in not only our marriages and our homes but in our communities.

Bethany gives practical tools and tips to help you understand that we can walk beside Jesus as he is the grower, and we are the planters and the waterers.

    113. Meeting Jesus in the Christmas Chaos - Intercessor & Advocate

    113. Meeting Jesus in the Christmas Chaos - Intercessor & Advocate

Welcome back to the kitchen table at Christmas. Join Bethany for the next six episodes as she explores the various names of Jesus to help you settle the Christmas season's tensions, overwhelms, and chaos.

Have your children accidentally broken something, and their sibling comes forth promising it was an accident, and they're doing everything in their power to intercede in the situation?

Well, Jesus does something similar for us. He is our intercessor before God by speaking on our half and defending our case. Bethany gives us hope that through his gracious gift of life, he advocates for us, has saved us, and, most importantly, provides us with righteousness and spiritual blessings so that we can rest.

    107. When My Christmas Expectations Meet Jesus

    107. When My Christmas Expectations Meet Jesus

Welcome back to the kitchen table. We are in the midst of the holiday season, and it’s easy to become swept up in the societal expectations of the season, whether it’s the perfect Christmas tree, the most decorated house, or the abundance of holiday experiences. We often search for happiness and joy in the Christmas season but for the wrong reasons.

In today’s episode, Bethany gives listeners the ultimate reminder when they feel inadequate and overwhelmed by the expectations of the perfect Christmas. Bethany encourages listeners to set their eyes on the true reason for Christmas. As a society, we hope for happiness in an event, but Jesus invites us to find contentment in him.

Bethany takes listeners through personal experiences and Gospel truth to set firm in the understanding that he is the light and that we can worship him in fullness. We can trickle this into your children when we stand grounded in these beliefs. His expectations of us are rest and contentment, not the perfect holiday experience.

    8. How Do I Handle Sibling Rivalry? (Part 2)

    8. How Do I Handle Sibling Rivalry? (Part 2)

Last week on “When God Breaks Through”, we talked about changing our mindset in the midst of sibling rivalries.

This week, Bethany is talking about how we approach our child in the situation. When it comes to these moments, we have to think about what our long term goals are for  them, despite the upclose mess of whatever fight or squabble is happening today!

Sometimes the best thing to do is for everyone to take a step back and spend some time in reflection. This allows the child to examine their hearts and the true emotions behind their actions. This also allows us moms to prepare our hearts for how God would have us respond in the moment.

When we enter into these moments, we want to approach it with grace and humility. Our goal is not to bust the kid in that moment, but to help them examine their heart. Through careful conversation, we can guide them through the true emotions and feelings, how what they did would be viewed by God, and how they can use this situation to recognize their sinful nature. And even better, God’s love and grace for them despite that sinful nature.

Working Mom Summer Camp Week 4 Reconnecting With You

Working Mom Summer Camp Week 4 Reconnecting With You

Watch your kids and think about how they are just fully living life.  They don’t care if they have gunk on their faces or if the house isn’t perfect, they just find joy.  They dance like no one is watching, and sometimes dress that way too.  If the clothes feel good, they want to wear them.  Or if it’s what they like.

Do you remember doing the same thing when you were little?  What things did you do that brought you joy?  Today, we are revisiting those childhood joys and giving ourselves permission to reconnect with it.  Now, you might not walk around with a milk mustache and your lunch all over your face without a care in the world, but hopefully, you will find even just one thing to reintroduce to your life to spark Joy.
