Final Friday: Jack Frost 2: Revenge of the Mutant Killer Snowman (2000)

Jack Frost is back following the police officer who put him away to an island for his revenge.

Jack Frost 2: Revenge of the Mutant Killer Snowman may actually be crazier than the first movie, if this was even possible. With an odd set of characters, crazy kills, and the snowman with the wild puns, this movie leaves your jaw on the floor with just how bizarre it gets. It's a crazy movie that we did enjoy more than the first and it will keep you entertained all the way through.

    Christmas Evil (w/ Matt McGrath)

    Christmas Evil (w/ Matt McGrath)

What's up, dudes? Remember the cult classic “Christmas Evil?” Matt McGrath from Nostaljunk joins me to dissect it. It’s a character study of one man’s descent into madness.

Harry is a scarred man. After witnessing Santa caress his mom in an inappropriate manner—not realizing it was his dad in costume—he has a mental break. Years later, the now adult Harry is obsessed with Santa, emotionally detached from his family, and promoted to toy factory manager. He spies on the neighborhood children to see who’s naughty or nice. While at an office Christmas party, a company donation scam finally cracks him, and he dresses up like and mentally becomes Santa. He steals company toys and donates them to a home for handicapped children. Then he murders  his greedy colleagues. Consequently he’s chased by an angry mob, confronts his brother over his childhood trauma, and flees. His van falls off a bridge and

Toy soldier with actual bayonet? Check. Realistic Santa attire? Yep. Toy bag for suffocating wicked coworkers? Definitely! So paint a sleigh on your van and drive into this episode on “Christmas Evil!”

    191 - Violent Night (2022) Review

    191 - Violent Night (2022) Review

After a wealthy estate is being raided by mercenaries for a fortune secured in a vault, Santa must save the family and Christmas.

Violent Night may not be considered a horror movie, but it's a dark, bloody, action movie that has some crazy kills and is a fun ride. There's something great about seeing a badass Santa beating the heck out of mercenaries in an effort to save Christmas. David Harbour stars in Violent Night and does a great job in bringing a disgruntled yet somewhat hopeful Santa Claus to life as he kills criminals to grant a young girl her Christmas wish.

Consumerism and the (Turbo) Man in "Jingle All the Way" - Holiday Horror Double Feature Pt 1

In Part 1 of this double feature, horror hosts Zach, Danny, and Casey are joined by special guest Ben Davis as they tackle the unapologetically cynical, chaotically capitalist comedy JINGLE ALL THE WAY, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sinbad, Rita Wilson, Jake Lloyd, and Phil Hartman. Final Friday: Jack Frost (1997)

    Final Friday: Jack Frost (1997)

While being transported to his execution, murderer, Jack Frost, is killed in a snowy accident leaving him in genetic material. As a result, he's converted into a killer snowman bent on revenge.

Jack Frost is as ridiculous as it sounds. Actually, if it was just a killer snowman that would be even easier to comprehend. However, this killer can change between solid and liquid states and it's truly crazy. The kills, Jack Frost's one-liners, the quirky characters; this is one of the wildest Christmas horror movies out there.

Gorman on Gore EP27 The Third Annual Christmas Special featuring The Mean One (2022)

Gorman on Gore EP27 The Third Annual Christmas Special featuring The Mean One (2022)

“Our original plans died in a fire, so we threw something together about the Grinch. Enjoy!”

Unlikely underdog for christmas slasher "classic", 2022's The Mean One is an odd take on the Dr. Seuss children's story. Jacob and Peter do their first recording session physically in person together, just after a lively Christmas party. They discuss where the Grinch might come from, the baffling motives of the town leaders of "Newville" (not Whoville), and their own interpretations of what it is to truly love the unlovable Grinches in our lives. Will you love The Mean One?  How will they rate it compared to the other Christmas specials?

    Merry Christmas!

    189 - The Mean One (2022) Review

    189 - The Mean One (2022) Review

After Cindy sees her parents murdered by a green monster in a Santa costume, she seeks revenge despite the town disbelieving her story.

The Mean One takes the whole story of The Grinch and adds a horror element to it while avoiding using the name of "The Grinch" throughout the movie. The movie starts David Howard Thornton as the Mean One, who may look the part, but this film is far from scary. There's a lot to be desired with this movie, but it's nothing short of entertaining to say the least. Watch the movie and catch our review.

    188 - Rare Exports (2010) Review

Buried deep within the Korvatunturi mountain, is a highly coveted secret that lures several parties to excavate it. Christmas this year will be a little different.

Rare Exports is a cult classic for a reason. For a movie that has flown under the radar, it really packs a punch and is a completely different type of Christmas story. It takes the viewer on an adventure to the Finnish-Russian border to experience a new type of Santa and elves you'll never want making your toys. Watch the movie and catch our review.
