Do you feel like you haven't yet done anything worthy of applause? We all can applaud momentous occasions, but you can also applaud even the stumbles and falls, learning grace and levity along the way. Applause can turn a moment around for laughter and light and joy. Look for more opportunities to applause, celebrating effort as much as outcome. And don't forget to buoy yourself with applause if others are putting you down or drowning you out. Humility doesn't always have to mean deference. Own your journey, own your effort, and own your accomplishments. There's a difference between confidence and arrogance.  Even while being humble and grateful, recognize what you bring to the table and affirm your sense of self-worth, because you are enough and worthy of applause, just as you are.

In this episode the National Crawford Roundtable shares the latest information about the Canadian Freedom Convoy trucker's protest.  The longest North-American border crossing, the Detroit-Windsor Bridge was shut down Monday night because of a long convoy of U. S. truckers joining Canada's truckers in a protest against forced vaccinations.  Does the disruption factor make this protest wrong?  Is this a justfiable violation of the Romans 13 "obeying governing authorities"instruction?  What about GoFundMe seizing control of the $10 million in donations, planning to divert them to different sources, before fianlly agreeing to just refund he money?

Para este episodio tenemos una conversación con KATHERINE HERNÁNDEZ, periodista venezolana que desde el 2014 reside en República Dominicana. 

Katherine es presentadora de noticias en el noticiero estelar de la noche Enfoque Final de la cadena de noticias CDN. También se desempeña como directora de la revista “Sala de Espera”, y es conductora de su proyecto televisivo Siendo Honestos que se transmite cada domingo por CDN también. Asimismo, en los últimos años ha sido conductora en eventos de antilavado de activos para empresas del país.

Trabajó en Globo Visión durante casi 7 años, una cadena de noticias de 24 horas en Venezuela que para la época se encontraba dentro de los más importantes medios noticiosos de ese país. Y que hoy en día es presidido por Raúl Gorrín, quien está en lista OFAC de EEUU.

En la conversación Katherine nos explica cómo es el periodismo siendo mujer, confesándonos que quería ser corresponsal de guerra. Nos relata su experiencia en Globo Visión haciendo el trabajo especial titulado los Secretos de PDVAL, que le valió recibir amenazas, y donde narraban la compra fraudulenta para la red de abastecimiento de productos básicos y el rol de los cubanos en todo esto. 

Abordamos la ética periodística y sobre todo en Venezuela donde el régimen ha comprado o intervenido medios informativos. Y nos confiesa el momento en que entendió que debía salir de Venezuela. 

Igualmente, Katherine nos responde la pregunta sobre cómo maneja una situación de entrevistar a una persona que sabe está o estuvo involucrado en actos de corrupción. Nos habla de su experiencia cubriendo el Diálogo entre el Gobierno y la Oposición venezolana en República Dominicana. Y nos aclara que hay gente con la cual no se sentaría para entrevistarlos, y que para ella sería interesante entrevistar a Nicolás Maduro. 

Discutimos cómo se ha transforma el periodismo regional y el venezolano usando de plataforma del Internet y medios digitales para poder ser medios libres como consecuencia de la censura a los medios. Y Katherine nos recuerda que no hay sociedades libres sin periodistas libres.
