No Way Out (1987)
If you enjoy spy movies with no spying, romantic comedies with no laughs and Sean Young movies with no sex appeal, you'll love 1987's "No Way Out."
This Kevin Costner thriller spends 45 minutes developing a love affair that goes nowhere, features a computer that can do anything, implicates '80s home decor as the real killer and might just be the prequel to "The Hunt for Red October."
In this episode, Big D advises men to "never cheat down," and Gene gives his tips for visiting Washington, D.C. The Shat Crew also covers when you're responsible for replacing a friend's bedding, Russians targeting a hot-dog stand, what to wear when cleaning up a homicide, the '80s inspiration for The King Bee and one of the worst police squads in the history of cinema.

282 - Waterworld (1995)
Episode 155: Take A Rake
We close out the un-official Sorkin trilogy with an underrated gem in Molly's Game (2017). The source material and underlaying story is amazing, and combined with Sorkin's writing and direction, its taken to another level. Could this movie reach the vaulted status of...timeless? Let us know.

Dances With Wolves (1990)
We can thank Kevin Costner's "Dances With Wolves" for reinvigorating Westerns for the '90s, leading to other Shat movies like "Tombstone" and "Unforgiven." For '80s kids, it also served as a gateway to exploring American Indian culture and history.
Despite questionable mustaches and a conspicuous score, "Dances With Wolves" was visually stunning, emotionally effective and, in Ash's case, occasionally terrifying. Yes, it still had some corny narration and gratuitous slow-motion. But that's the '90s, baby!
In this episode, Gene applauds Costner for casting a "kinda old" lead lady. Ash hails "Dances With Wolves" as the model of using a simple story to great impact, and Big D asks how John Dunbar became fluent in Lakota. The Shat Crew also discusses the buffalo hunt, the noble savage, brain damage from repeated blows to the head and how much Americans suck.

Paul Sculpher talks ETGs, slots, Waterworld and much more - The Gambling Files RTFM 86
It's a bonanza this episode! Fintan and Jon discuss the hilarious and sadly oh-so-predictable news out of the UK government regarding less-than-stellar corruption, plus Jon is relieved to learn that hypnotists are sometimes faking and he can go to shows in much greater comfort now [0:00 - 37:17].
Then the chaps are joined by Corporate Overlord Paul Sculpher of Gaming Recruitment Solutions (www.grs-recruit.com, yes it is a hyphen) who, in a wide-ranging conversation, sets Jon straight on the rules in the UK, talks about the perils of an increased number of slots, the benefits of ETGs, and how Waterworld is in fact not a terrible film despite everyone else thinking it is [37:18 - 1:42:13]. Enjoy a very wide-ranging episode!
"Yellowstone" and "1883" have allowed Kevin Costner and married country musicians Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, respectively, to achieve

Episode 98: Grip It and Rip It
We are teeing it up this week with Tin Cup (1996), to coincide with the Masters. Is this truly one of the greatest golf movies ever? We have our doubts. Does an always sweaty Kevin Costner still get the girl? Can he really hit the 3-wood, 240 yards? Come and find out with us.

Episode 13: YellowStone review with Mr. One Two
Join Mr. One Two with his take on Taylor Sheridan's YellowStone with Kevin Costner.
On parle baseball !
Enjoy !
EP 212 - The Power of the Dog (2021) / Silverado (1985) Reviews
Round ‘em up! Ranch hands run rampant as we tip toe around a very scary Benedict Cumberbatch in The Power of the Dog, before falling in with a less wild bunch of cowpokes in Silverado. Home is on the range, unless you’re Kirsten Dunst… #powerofthedog #benedictcumberbatch #kirstendunst #silverado
Episode 36 -- Field of Dreams
Is this heaven? No. It's a podcast. In this episode, Tom and Josh discuss the classic 1989 film Field of Dreams. We talk Iowa, Kevin Costner and James Earl Jones' comedic chemistry, boomer hippie stuff, the choice to cast Ray Liotta as a left-handed southerner, daddy issues, and dead baseball players. Really everything that aging baseball fans love and hold dear.

Bull Durham (1986)
With more than 240 movies under our belts, Shat The Movies finally feels qualified to review the greatest sports film of all time: "Bull Durham."
A young Tim Robbins, a sexy Kevin Costner, and a ripe Susan Sarandon do the unthinkable in this '80s classic: They surface the joy, sensuality, intelligence, passion, drama, and hard truths about baseball, a sport that's drifted into some very dull times.
In this episode, Big D tells us what he believes in. Ash tells us about trying out for Little League, and Gene finds a new role model in Crash Davis. The Shat Crew also recall our favorite minor-league baseball memories and find one tiny flaw in this otherwise perfect film.
