The moustache wearing, ladies man, but will he be able to unravel the mystery taking place in Santa Mira?

There can be no doubt that 1984's The Last Starfighter was hugely influenced by the original Star Wars trilogy, which had, triumphantly, wrapped up with Return of the Jedi the year before its release. But is The Last Fighter a playful, zeitgeist-capturing homage to George Lucas's seminal space opera, or is it just a cheap knockoff? SPOILER ALERT: it is the latter. Given that fact, is it still pretty fun?

A film where an alcoholic doctor tries to figure out the truth about some menacing new Halloween masks. Kyle thinks this is under-appreciated. Dave has never seen a Halloween movie. The Machine loves that jingle!

In our Season 3 premiere, it’s time for Spooky Tuesday to take our own crack at the classic horror question: “Can you really make a Halloween™️ movie without Michael Myers?” That’s right, we’re rolling out the red carpet for a whole new spooky season, and we’re starting with Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982). Sharing more DNA with a film like Invasion of the Body Snatchers than a slasher flick, the third installment in John Carpenter and Debra Hill’s franchise tried to get back to their basic concept, but how well they pulled it off is still up for debate.

In our 6th and final episode for October 2021 we return the Halloween franchise and watched Halloween III: Season of the Witch. This movie stars Tom Atkins, Stacey Nelkin, and Dan O'Herlihy. 

Halloween night in 1982 is going to be one for the record books, if the Silver Shamrock corporation has anything to say about it. Tom Atkins and Stacey Nelkin try and stop Dan O'Herlihy's dastardly plan. Oh, and Michael Myers has a cameo -- on TV. Grant joins us to talk about Season of the Witch, perhaps the most controversial entry in the Halloween franchise (and that's saying something!)
