On today’s episode of UFC Unfiltered, Jim Norton and Matt Serra are joined by newly-crowned UFC women’s bantamweight champion Raquel Pennington and 15th-ranked lightweight Drew Dober.

Nine days removed from a career-defining win over Mayra Bueno Silva for the vacant women’s bantamweight title, Pennington reflects on how much she has improved in the five years since her first title shot against Amanda Nunes.

The latter part of the interview sees the champion assess the rest of the division — including her thoughts on Julianna Peña’s trash-talking ways and whether it’s reasonable to expect UFC newcomer Kayla Harrison to be able to cut down to bantamweight after competing well above the weight limit at both 145 and 155 pounds in the past.

Shortly after Pennington’s interview, Drew Dober hops on the show for his fifth time as a guest on UFC Unfiltered.

Dober previews his upcoming fight against Renato Moicano and discusses how the two match up going into Saturday night’s co-main event at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

UFC middleweight contender Jared Cannonier and lightweight Drew Dober join Matt Serra and Jim Norton on today’s episode of UFC Unfiltered as the guys look ahead to this Saturday’s UFC Fight Night: Cannonier vs. Strickland card.

Looking to rebound from his title shot loss to former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, Cannonier talks lessons learned from that loss as he previews his main event fight against Sean Strickland and discusses what he’d do if Sean started talking trash mid-fight.

Matt and Jared bond over their passion for teaching mixed martial arts to the next generation, with Cannonier expressing a desire to open up a gym in his hometown to train up-and-coming fighters when he’s retired from fighting.

Jim and Matt mix in some predictions from the card before Drew Dober hops on the show to assess his main card matchup with Bobby Green. After talking about his loss to Islam Makhachev and how it helped him get back to his current two-fight winning streak, Dober shares his excitement over becoming a first-time father this upcoming June and finally adding “dad strength” to his toolshed.

Matt then brings Jim up to speed on his wild story at Universal Studios, with the guys wrapping up the show with more picks for Saturday’s card.
