    • Using the analogy of someone sick, they go to the doctor who prescribes supplementation. Did they talk to you about the big hose of nutrition in the first place? Why would you invest in a small hose of supplementation when the big hoses exist? You tend to outsource your power to supplements and treatments because it's easy, but invest in your nutrition first.

    • If you want to accelerate healing, that's when you incorporate treatments. When starting a healing protocol, most people ask, “How long does it take to heal?”. People get frustrated when they hear 6 to 12 months. if you want to make it a three-month process, you could speed up that timeline with treatments.

    This update covers the Special Alignments happening in 2022. Each and every year has its own flavor and specific activations to deal with or navigate. Because I cover Venus on a monthly basis, I have only included Mars & Jupiter, although I did cover the New Venus Cycle in the Energetic Overview HERE. Saturn will be rather reserved this year after all the trouble it stirred up last year with major activations, so we are still dealing with and integrating all of that throughout this year too.     SYO74 Are You Actually Ready to Sort Yourself Out?

    This week we’re looking at the aspect of timing in your readiness, or not, to sort yourself out.

    Many people feel like they want to make a change. They KNOW they need to make a change. They try again and again, but they just can’t seem to make it stick.

    Maybe you’ve noticed this in your life? Or you feel like you know what you need to do, you know the steps to take, but you just cannot make yourself do it.

    We usually have to be really motivated to make a change in our lives, to break out of our habitual patterns of behaviour, of thinking, of being. These things can be hard work, and if we are not sufficiently motivated, or if the stakes are not high enough, we may find ourselves backsliding, reverting to the old unwanted ways, or making false start after false start.

    Sometimes we need to hit rock bottom or have a serious scare or get totally fed up before we’ll make the change we KNOW we need to make, and succeed at making it permanent. 

    But here is the major point about being ready to sort ourselves out: We have to reach that point where it’s less painful to make the change, than to carry on as we are. 

    And as in my case I discuss today, sometimes our own idea for the change we need to make is too narrow and limiting, and our soul has bigger ideas for us! There are lots of unknowable energies at work in the world that lead us to make a change when the timing is right, and when we will most benefit from it.

    It was a topic that really struck a chord with people, so much so that I decided to name my membership after this idea of being better than happy. 

    This week I’m revisiting that topic. But a year and a half on, my ideas on how to be better than happy have developed even more, so my top 3 ways have shifted a bit from those in that first episode.

    What does being better than happy really mean? It means having a deep inner sense of well-being. It means feeling good in your own skin, loving yourself as you are and having a good sense of your own self-worth. It’s about feeling inner peace in your life, even though all may not be going as you’d like.

    So join me as we discuss the main ideas about being better than happy. Ideas that, when we embrace them, set us onto a stable foundation of personal integrity, fulfillment and joy, through which happiness will ebb and flow, but through which we can remain serene in our sense of inner peace.

    But at every moment you have the power to begin again, to make a fresh start.

    Who you are today, is creating who you will be in the future. Your thoughts, and your focus of attention, and the quality of that attention, are determining your future circumstances.

    This week we’re discussing the art of self-tweaking. What the hell is that, you say? 

    Well, I don’t know if self-tweaking is a thing, or if I made that name up. But I like it because it really reflects the nature of personal growth and how we effect change in our lives. Also, it amuses me a bit too! Self-tweaking! Hmmmm.

    So often we want to make change in our lives, and we want it done yesterday! But this is just not realistic, and we put too much pressure on ourselves when we expect nigh-on miraculous change to occur.

    We also bring up all sorts of resistance when we have such high expectations. And then we crack, we crash and burn, and then, we usually beat ourselves up about it, and hate ourselves, and we’re worse off than we started out! 

    For the most part, this is just not the way change occurs in our lives. Lasting change is made incrementally. That’s why I’ve called it self-tweaking. It is a marathon, not a sprint.

    This week we’re discussing the amazing, life-changing benefits of my favourite practice to uplift your well-being, meditation.

    Meditation and mindfulness teacher David Michie said that “If meditation were available in capsule form, it would be the biggest selling drug of all time.”

    That’s quite a statement! But one I agree with wholeheartedly. I count meditation as the single best thing I’ve ever done for my well-being. 

    Now you may have heard that there are numerous benefits to meditation, and maybe even thought, DANG!, I should be doing that. But time passes, and you just don’t get around to it. Or maybe you try it for a little bit, but it’s off and on, really sporadic, and you don’t really get into it enough to feel the benefits.

    Well, you’re not alone! Most of us faff around for a while, before we get into it. I faffed around for a couple years, meditating every now and then, trying this and that. 

    The important thing to know about meditation is that you don’t need to make a big meal out of it. You can start really simply and make things easier on yourself. In fact, it’s best to take it easy and keep it simple when you are beginning.
