EPOS, the Greek word for “Epic,” sponsors camps and events for kids in grades 7^th through 12^th in mainstream sports, rodeo and agriculture. This organization is going into its fifth year and has already made a significant impact on the lives of the students across Oklahoma. At the end of this visit, she'll share her advice for those thinking about starting a non-profit and share her the personal growth she is looking for in 2024.

Ein etwas genauerer Blick auf ein römisches Epos aus der Zeit Neros: Lucans "Bellum Civile"

In der Übersetzung von Angelika Kaps spielt "Linden Hills" in einer Enklave der schwarzen Besserverdiener. In einem fulminanten Auftakt wird die Geschichte vom Aufstieg eines Brachlands zum Wohnort für Schwarze erzählt. Das Land wurde 1820 von Luther Needed erstanden, der dafür Frau und Kinder in die Sklaverei verkaufte. Mehr als 150 Jahre bleibt es im Besitz der Familie ist. "Ein schwarzer Spucknapf im weißen Auge Amerikas", wie Luther es nennt.

Scott Houston is the Field Sales Engineer at EPOS, a company that delivers high-end audio solutions designed for enterprise and gaming. In his role, he provides experience in telecom peripherals, including headsets, speakerphones, video collaborations, and asset management software. He also assists with troubleshooting and communicating with a global support team to resolve customer issues and communicates with product management and development teams to keep up with market trends. Before EPOS, Scott was a Product Specialist in Consumer Electronics at Sennheiser Electronic Corp.
