#30 How to turn your hobby into a Handmade Business with Nicola from Silk Jasmine

#30 How to turn your hobby into a Handmade Business with Nicola from Silk Jasmine

This week Lynsey and Anna are joined by the lovely Nicola from Silk Jasmine.

Nicola makes Luxury Hand Made Mulberry Silk Accessories for Women & Children such as scrunchies and eye masks.

In this episode we all discuss in detail how Nicola, who is an ex beauty therapist turned teacher, took her passion for sewing combined with a love of silk and luxury high end products and during the 2020 lockdown, started her own business.

Nicola, as you will hear, juggles a lot! She is still a full time teacher, an Elsa (listen in to learn more about this!) plus a mum of two.

So she has so much advice for fellow handmade businesses on how to manage time, why pricing is so important and what has helped propel her business further.

Nicola really does show us what is possible with some belief, some hard work and and a love of making.

You can find more about Nicola here on her website or over on her Instagram or Pinterest account.
