Welcome to an all-new Films for the Void, Bonus Episode #6! In this episode, Landon interviews Poppy Morowa - the guitarist and vocalist for Metro Detroit based indie-punk band Boyfrienders, alongside fellow members Celeste Jones, Matthew Stonebraker, and Evan Laybourn. After putting out their debut record Midwest Alive in Nightmares last year on Good Luck Charm Records, the band is back into gig mode, with upcoming appearances at DIY Burning Man 2 in Grass Lake, MI on July 1 and Fauxchella V at Howards Club H in Bowling Green, OH on July 16. However, if you can’t stand to wait that long, you can also check out the band’s upcoming headliner at The Sanctuary in Hamtrammck, MI on May 27, where the band will be joined by Seaholm, Equipment, and Goodluckry. Together, the pair talk about the making of Midwest Alive in Nightmares, along with a round robin discussion about some of Morowa's favorite films - all on the latest episode of Films for the Void!
