    Failed Resolutions and Accountability

    Failed Resolutions and Accountability

"Show up for yourself, but also remember to give yourself some grace. The bottom line is: New Year’s resolutions can be a great way to challenge yourself at the start of a new year, but do not use them as a marker of your perceived success or failure. You’re more than that." - Laura

Sit down with Nicki, Maura, and Taylor as we chat our resolutions and goals for 2024. But, also see how we are holding up now that we are one month in. Have we already failed?

SAP's Intelligent CX Vision with Geert Leeman | Cloud Wars Live

    SAP's CX Transformation

    The Big Themes:

    • SAP's intelligent CX: SAP intelligent CX aims to move away from the traditional front-office and back-office distinctions and create a unified system that optimizes every touchpoint in the customer journey. It involves collecting and leveraging operational data, adopting a composable and hybrid strategy, emphasizing personalization, and infusing AI at every step to enhance customer interactions and loyalty.
    • Holiday trends: Holiday trends reveal an uptick in average order value, while consumer behavior shows a shift from an average of nine purchases to eight this year. Shoppers are expected to streamline their holiday purchases to around four to five stores, focusing on higher-value products with a bit more emphasis on savings. Timely relevance, personalization, and smooth interactions are crucial, as consumers are quick to disengage if the shopping experience feels awkward or lacks relevance.
    • Automotive and utilities: In the automotive sector, there is a significant shift from traditional dealership models to a direct-to-consumer approach, transforming cars into "stores on four wheels." Concurrently, within the utilities industry, collaborations with entities like Duke Energy exemplify the use of real-time data to gain insights into energy consumption patterns. It focuses on 24/7 availability, personalized services, and proactive communication.

The Big Quote: "I would highly recommend to any customer experience leader on the planet to really once try to pick up the phone and get something arranged. It should be the life lesson for all of them, whether you're utilities or in automotive, retail, or CPG [consumer packaged goods]."

The Karol Markowicz Show: Is there such a thing as a perfect family with Nick Freitas

The Karol Markowicz Show: Is there such a thing as a perfect family with Nick Freitas

In this episode, Karol discusses the importance of prioritizing family despite its imperfections and conflicts. She then interviews Nick Freitas, a member of the Virginia House of Delegates, who identifies America's biggest problem as an identity crisis due to a lack of shared understanding of history, logic, and the scientific method. Freitas emphasizes the importance of personal development and focusing on what we can control, rather than getting caught up in politics. He also shares his approach to social media and his personal life, including his 25-year marriage and his definition of true success. The Karol Markowicz Show is part of the Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Podcast Network - new episodes debut every Monday & Thursday.

    Portraying Positivity Amidst Personal Struggles

    Portraying Positivity Amidst Personal Struggles
In this episode, I chat about a big struggle many of us feel: how to act on the outside versus how we really feel inside. I believe it's super important to show a happy and kind attitude to others, while also being humble inside our own hearts. I share stories from my life and lessons from the Bible, like the story of Lucifer, to show the dangers of thinking too highly of oneself. Being humble is a big deal because it's how we get close to God and receive His help. So, let's try to be kind and positive to everyone around us, but also remember we're not perfect and always need God's help.

60 Seconds for Motivate Your Monday: What Might We Get When an Experiment Fails?

60 Seconds for Motivate Your Monday: What Might We Get When an Experiment Fails?

Hello to you listening in Driggs, Idaho!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Motivate Your Monday and your host, Diane Wyzga.

Recently a friend mentioned that she was having a rough go of it because the job she had she didn’t want and the job she wanted she couldn’t get and this made her feel somehow lacking. If this undesirable situation is true - and she seems to believe it’s true - now what?

What if we look objectively at the undesirable situation as an experiment that didn’t produce the expected results.  Does that mean it failed? Perhaps not. What if the so-called failed experiment is a data point; it could be pointing you in a better direction. Jonas Salk once said, “There is no such thing as a failed experiment, because learning what doesn't work is a necessary step to learning what does.” Or, as the famous American jazz musician Louis Armstrong said, “It’s taken me all my life to learn what not to play.”

Practical Tip: Think of a time when you believed you had failed but you figured out how to turn that experience into an opportunity and grow toward your better self. Give yourself a High Five! You got this!

How to Bounce Back From Failure | Encountering Jesus

How to Bounce Back From Failure | Encountering Jesus

Have you ever felt like your failures disqualify you for being used by God? You're not alone - and the good news is that real encounters with Jesus invite us into new identity and new hope.

In the Gospel of John, the story of Jesus' disciple Peter is a story about a character who wrestles with failure and who is built up again by Jesus. This means for us that Jesus wants to speak to our identity and turn our failures into something new.

    Failed 80's TV Shows

    Failed 80's TV Shows

Join Shakin Shaner and Psycho Bob as they explore some horrible shows from the 80's, some of Shaner's favorite shows that were cancelled and one diamond in the rough of sucktastic 80's shows.

Have you heard of the shows, B.A.D. CATS or Wizards and Warriors? No, well there is a reason why. The discussion goes back to the 80's and they even discuss the show that is panned by most everyone as the worst sitcom ever.

Shaner goes into detail on Automan, Manimal and the Tales of the Gold Monkey. These were some of his favorite 80's shows that were all cancelled, but one actually made it a full season.  Tune in to find out which one.

S2E1 | Is There Life After a ‘Failed’ Church Plant?

Though the numbers may be skewed in different areas, it's reported almost 80% of church plants fail.

We always hear about churches succeeding or churches that unfortunately shut down from the beginning...or even years out.

What do we not hear about? Is there life after a ‘failed’ church or church plant? How do you trust God after answering what you thought was your calling? Was the church a failure? Were you? What is failure in the landscape of a church?

Watch or listen live today from the Ourtery Studio!

Are you a church planter? You NEED to check out the 'One Size Fits None' podcast where "a collection of conversations with church planters telling their stories" can help you navigate the things you don't have resources for in growing from ground up. Episode 50: How to Redefine Failure (& Keep Going)

There’s a massive difference between “I am a failure” and “I failed at this task.” When we live in the first, we’re destined to give up. When we can train our mind to view failure as data, we can stay in a place of curiosity and keep going. Let’s talk about HOW to redefine failure.
