Step into the intriguing world of Rock'n Roll's most notorious swindle as we delve into the captivating story behind the song "Why Did You Do It?" by Stretch, released in 1975. Join us as we uncover the chain of events that led to this audacious move and explore the impact it had on the music industry.
In the late 1960s, Fleetwood Mac stood tall as the epitome of British Blues greatness, capturing the hearts of millions. However, fame and excessive drug use left scars on the band, prompting them to take a much-needed hiatus. Little did they know, their manager, Clifford Adams, had other plans in store.
With an American tour already booked and tickets sold, Adams faced a daunting challenge. His solution? Persuading Mick Fleetwood, the iconic drummer and founding member of Fleetwood Mac, to perform the shows with a group of newly recruited musicians. The hope was to deceive the American audience and avoid detection.
In this episode, we uncover the audacity and cunning of Adams' plan, exploring the motivations behind it and the consequences it had for all involved. We delve into the rise of Stretch, the band created for the sole purpose of continuing Fleetwood Mac's tour, and examine the impact of this controversial move on the music industry as a whole.
Join us as we unravel the captivating story behind "Why Did You Do It?" by Stretch, examining the twists and turns that shaped this unforgettable track. Discover the secrets, the betrayals, and the ultimate legacy left by this audacious chapter in Rock'n Roll history.
Hiya! My name's Terry J. Aman and in this, my seventh episode of VideoFuzzy the Soundtrack titled "Immortals," I focus on artists in my music collection whose names begin with the letter F.
Under Errors, I get a bit of help explaining a goof I made in "Ep. 6: Taking Over Me" from Schatzy Eichmann, whom you can see in the Dakota Stage Ltd. production of "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street," those details available here: https://bit.ly/3LzwfDH
In my Title Track, I talk about Fall Out Boy and their song "Immortals" from its appearance in "Big Hero 6" and their 2015 LP release "American Beauty/American Psycho." You can watch the video here: https://bit.ly/48sFyzd or here: https://bit.ly/457Kwyp, and here is the Fall Out Boy channel on YouTube: https://bit.ly/3EUBuKG
In Lost Tracks, songs that did not transfer properly from one PC to the next, I replaced missing or damaged songs by Fall Out Boy, Falco, Fleetwood Mac, Faithless, Foo Fighters, Franz Ferdinand, Fountains of Wayne and Fannypack.
In my Influences segment [full LPs], I chat about the two-disc compilation "Forever Freestyle" with my friend Jesse Zimmerman, who posted the Spotify playlist here: https://bit.ly/48pnZjD and I countdown my top five. Also, comments on Fastball and Fiona Apple.
In my Breakouts segment [multiple tracks], I talk about The Fifth Dimension and Felicia Day, Ferron, Foo Fighters, the now miscategorized Fleetwood Mac and Foreigner, and the now correctly categorized Falco. I include a brief scrap of conversation with my late father under this heading as well, with a link to his memorial here: https://bit.ly/3EVaMkQ
In my Sparks segment [single tracks], I chat about Faithless, Face Vocal Band, Franz Ferdinand, Flock of Seagulls, Florence + The Machine, The Fratellis, Frankie Gaye, Fountains of Wayne, and then I highlight entries from soundtracks, which is how I come to have several artists' singles including multiple entries from "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," as well as Frankie Goes to Hollywood, The Fifth Dimension, Felicia Day, Fall Out Boy, The Flaming Lips, Fisher and Fannypack.

They say workplace relationships are never a good idea. But try telling that to Mr. Fleetwood. And also tell it to his friend Mac. And also Mac's wife. And then their other two co-workers who are also sleeping together. Because in 1977 these triple divorcees managed to write one of the greatest albums and songs of all time. This week Andrew and Dan talk about that!
After a bit of a health hiatus, G.K. and Dave are back and decided to take a hiatus from talking politics.
The guys talk about two subjects they both love: auto racing and music.
They promise to survey the political landscape again in future podcasts, but they enjoyed the break and hope you do too.

We are once again honored and a little befuddled to be chatting with the great David Wild, a man who Writes Books With Beatles, and here he is chatting with us about our favorite Songs That Can Make A Grown Man Cry. In Part 2, which features picks 5-1, we delve a little deeper and get a little more emotional, and the songs are even more potent in the tear-jerking department. So be forewarned, if you're brave enough to handle it without Kleenex, you're made of sterner stuff... or you're just not listening. Either way, we hope you enjoy this soul-bearing episode and if we get just one tear to fall, we know w'e've done our job.
If you missed part 1, by all means go here and find out what picks 10-6 are:

Join me in conversation with Matthew Gray, a Chef, Metabolic Health Specialist, Author and former Talk Radio Host.
Right out of Highschool, his neighbours invited him to go on tour with the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Eagles and Pink Floyd, not as a musician or groupie but involved in selling official band merchandise.
After five years, Matthew shifted gears and became Le Cordon Bleu London Culinary School Chef Chef. After graduation and returning to Los Angeles, this new Chef found himself catering to Hollywood's crowd. His company Pamper and Dine offered Message and Fine Dining in clients’ homes.
After moving to Hawaii he became a restaurant reviewer until he decided to offer authentic Hawaiian food tours with his company Hawaii Food Tours which operated for 16 years until it fell victim to the pandemic.
