Branson & Kelly Horn - From Teacher to Florist, Creativity in Unexpected Places, and Starting a Business

In this episode, we sat down with Kelly and Branson Horn. Kelly is a Teacher turned Floral Designer and Business Owner of Echoes of Eden Florals, and Branson works in the corporate banking division of Regions Bank. We’ve known the Horns for a few years and have always been inspired by Kelly’s journey to take her floral business from a side hustle to thriving business and the way her and Branson worked on it together.

We chatted about getting married young, trauma that led to a dream career, creative empathy in the corporate world, and how to be a supportive spouse while still maintaining healthy boundaries.

If you’ve wrestled with the idea of turning a side hustle into a full-time business, or you want to know how to better support a spouse who’s a business owner, this episode is for you. Branson and Kelly share their experience of what it’s really like to start a business, when it’s wise to separate work and marriage, and how to build habits that remain in seasons of busyness.

Branson and Kelly’s vulnerability was such a gift, and they are both wise beyond their years. We hope you get as much out of this conversation as we did!
