International Carbon Credits & Cryptocurrency; PLUS, MAJOR BITCOIN UPDATE

International Carbon Credits & Cryptocurrency; PLUS, MAJOR BITCOIN UPDATE
First, we now feel that the time is appropriate to address our previous pauses of addressing our impressions of the….bitcoin market. We’re prepared to do this previously termed ‘deep dive’ into the topic,, At the present time, much of the overhang of inter-market asset allocations and rebalancing, potential legislation and likely regulations on cryptocurrency is yet to be settled. We’ll segue into our main topic to explain what carbon credits are, how they work, and why they are important for mitigating climate change. We’ll provide some background information on the voluntary carbon market, which is the main source of carbon credits today. We’ll mention some of the challenges and limitations of the current system, such as lack of transparency, quality, and price discovery.

Welcome to the Knack 4 Business podcast

Are You Ready to Be a Homo Googlis

     Today's guest is Gianna Dell'Aiuto

Gianni Dell'Aiuto is a business and corporate lawyer based in Rome but he is proud of his Tuscan origins. In recent years, particularly since the European Union revised its laws on privacy and personal data protection, he has developed a strong interest in the subject.

He has also studied the changing behaviours of people online due to the use of the internet and smartphones. He has described this new individual who is replacing Homo Sapiens as Homo Googlis.

Gianni talks about our use of the internet and social media and how it shapes our interactions, behaviours and anonymity. The seminal changes in culture that he covers in his book Homo Googlis.

How Emily Lawrence Trains Competitive Tracking And Confidence

How Emily Lawrence Trains Competitive Tracking And Confidence

Today, we continue our conversation with competitive tracking extraordinaire Emily Lawrence!

When it comes down to it, “tracking is the great equalizer.” Emily teaches us that the key to building skill and confidence in our dog is going to be a slow, baby-step process for trackers of any level.

She reminds us that frustrating training sessions are all part of the package. It’s okay that our dog struggles because the point of training is to encourage them to push their boundaries. That said, we need to make sure we end all of our sessions on a good note, to make sure that our dog walks away happy about what they did.

Emily invites competitive trackers to enjoy the journey, to stop trying to micromanage your dog, and to try to have just a little more fun:

“Trust your training and let your dog use their superpowers.”

    Key Topics:

    • How to make IGP tracking work for you and your dog (01:00)
    • Knowing exactly where your footprint is (06:19)
    • Why Emily doesn’t care about wind direction (12:40)
    • Introducing articles (16:29)
    • Building your dog’s endurance (21:26)
    • Being the only Border Collie at her last tracking competition (26:20)
    • Training a Border Collie versus a Pitbull versus a German Shepherd (33:48)
    • Teaching corners without using corrections (35:50)
    • Episode takeaways (38:10)
    • How to connect with Emily (42:00)

Red Meat For Female Hormones, and Longevity with Diana Rodgers RD

The Better Show welcomes Diana Rodgers, a registered dietitian and co-author of the wildly popular book “Sacred Cow: The Case for (Better) Meat: Why Well-Raised Meat Is Good for You and Good for the Planet”. Diana is a real food nutritionist and a sustainability advocate in Boston, hosts a podcast called “The Sustainable Dish Podcast” and runs her own clinical nutrition practice. We begin the episode by talking about the stigma around meat consumption and what and why our governments have such influence on eating red meat. We discuss the american diet and a brief history of Kellogg’s impact on society at the beginning of it’s breakfast cereal reign in the food industry. Diana explains the misconceptions around methane creation from livestock compared to other industries and it’s impact on greenhouse gasses. How the myriad of plant based products actually use fossil fuels to be created, and how us humans with our diet and nutrition can alter our carbon footprint. Perceptions of what healthy looks like, pushing veganism in public schools and the virtue signaling being put on display on the daily is doing the planet a disservice. We weigh the balance of animal death, our own death as humans, and what animals we save compared to others. We finish today’s episode with Diana diving deeper into alternative protein sources, and how they may benefit us as humans, or perhaps leaving us dissatisfied by crickets and insect protein.

Footprints in the Sand Poem (for men)

On the 8/8 we released Episode 022. At the end I read the poem: Footprints in the Sand. Like always I like to release the poem separate from the episode, so when you just want to listen to just the poem, you don´t have to listen to the episode every time, unless you want to of course!

This poem always gives me hope and helps me feel loved, so it is very dear to me. I hope that it can help you in your life, as it has in mine. Like with any new habit that you are trying to develop, it is good if you do the meditation at least 21 days in a row, and then watch how your life changes!

4 key factors to do 'more good' instead of 'less bad' with renewable materials

4 key factors to do 'more good' instead of 'less bad' with renewable materials

    INTRODUCTION

Have you already wondered how to shift from doing ‘less bad’ to doing ‘more good’?

In this episode, you will discover what kind of FLIP you can operate for your packaging. FLIP for Footprint, Limits, Innovation, and Purpose.

To exemplify these 4 key factors, we will use some extracts from the 3 last episodes applied to renewable materials for your packaging. But what I develop in this episode, is true for any material.

THE 3 OTHER EPISODES WHERE COLIENNE DEVELOPPED SOME OTHER CONCEPTS

    ABOUT COLIENNE REGOUT FROM LOOK4LOOPS

Businesses lead the way! As a true believer, Colienne Regout makes you rethink your packaging so you can adapt to future markets and spot business opportunities. Colienne helps organizations to improve their economic, social, and ecological impacts in Europe and Canada by optimizing the use of their resources and designing out the concept of waste. She started with facilitating Corporate Social Responsibility and with implementing Sharing Economy initiatives. As the founder of Look4Loops, she is now using the Circular Economy to enhance processes from the beginning until the end of their life cycles.

Besides operating changes in the field, education is a big part of what Colienne does: She is the host of this podcast, she created the ‘Develop Circular Packaging Solutions’ training, she sub-teaches at BCIT and she also facilitates workshops and serious games about climate change and the circular economy.

As a Circulab certified consultant, she benefits from shared knowledge and co-developed tools thanks to a community of over seventy worldwide colleagues.

Recently, in May 2022, she also won the price of the Entreprise of the Year from la Chambre de Commerce Francophone de Vancouver.

    PODCAST MUSIC

Special thanks to Joachim Regout who made the jingle. Have a look at his work here

I am happy to bring a sample of our strong bonds on these sound waves. Since I was a child, he made me discover a wide range of music of all kinds. I am also delighted he is a nature lover and shares the Look4Loops 'out of the box philosophy'. He is an inspiring source of creativity for me.
