The American evangelist Franklin Graham, who believes Donald Trump defends the Christian faith, now confirms that Trump definitely lost the 2020 election. In an interview with Roger Bolton for the Religion Media Centre, he said there was no question the election was lost, though he acknowledged that millions of people do not believe that.

Aged 71, Franklin Graham attracts thousands at his rallies around the world, following in the footsteps of his father, Billy Graham. He is returning to Britain for a rally at the Excel Centre in London on Saturday 26 August entitled “God Loves You”.

In his interview, Mr Graham made clear his unchanging views on the infallibility of the Bible, the need for conversion, the certainty of hellfire for unbelievers and a prohibition on gay sex. This caused controversy in Britain, where all eight of his rallies in 2020 were cancelled after protests that his views were divisive.

But he took legal action and won, re-instating many of the events. Mr Graham believes that God has called him to preach, but he does not regard himself as special to other evangelists, although his events attract many thousands of people: “I’ve tried to use these opportunities in life that God has opened up and use them for his glory,” he said.

A-Block (1:43) SPECIAL COMMENT: Is Jack Smith preparing a THIRD set of indictments against Trump? Maybe a FOURTH? The Grand Jury which indicted Trump LAST week is still meeting this week; they were in there yesterday. And Smith is deep in the weeds on Trump de-frauding his cultists and getting them to give him money to fix a “stolen election” he knew damn well WASN’T stolen. But the Special Counsel is also clearly still looking at how Trump tried to stop the transfer of presidential power. And Fani Willis will reportedly go to HER Atlanta Grand Jury as early as Tuesday. While they’re already blocking roads around the courthouse, Trump is already pre-smearing her, and he's already forgotten that he demanded the indictment of Joe Biden in October 2020.

Plus: Trump has already pre-contempted a court order that hasn’t been issued yet. He says even if Judge Chutkan restricts what he can and can’t talk about, he’ll talk about it. The hearing is Friday.

Re-indicted cause it feels so good. And yes, I’m singing that.

And his suspension points to the plan in far too many baseball, basketball, and hockey TV booths: All reporting, all criticism, in fact anything not gushingly glowing about the home team will result in suspension. It's been coming for a century and it's here: the sports play-by-play broadcast is there only to brainwash you that your team is perfect, always has been, and you need to give it more money. Franklin Graham pulled the fire alarm in the opening session of the 2023 National Religious Broadcasters Convention recently held in Orlando, Florida.  He warned that, “every demon from hell has been turned loose on our nation.”  He then urged broadcasters to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus more boldly than ever!

The two Kens ponder the perplexing question: why are many evangelicals enamored with Vladimir Putin and his nationalist vision for Russia? As Russia invades Ukraine this month, Putin has been exposed as an autocrat and brutal, murderous tyrant. Some conservatives, by necessity, are back-tracking. But for years, far-right conservatives, including Donald Trump, Mike Pompeo, Franklin Graham, and Tucker Carlson have openly admired the once KGB agent and current President (for nearly twenty years) of Russia.  The roots of evangelicalism (which includes their eschatological worldview, embedded in dispensationalism) make their anti-democratic infatuation with Russian authoritarianism a source of admiration. To their delight, Putin initiated and passed anti-gay and anti-abortion legislation. Along with his populist nationalism, his affirmation of the Russian Orthodox Church makes Russia a preferred alternative for America than the Democratic vision of President Joe Biden, according to the conservative narrative. This week, both Nikki Haley and William Barr, while distancing themselves from Trumpism, both affirm their intent to support Donald T**** if he is nominated by the Republican Party for the 2024 election. According to them both, woke liberals (like the two Kens) are ruining the country. Fong and Kemp ponder the particulars of dispensationalism including the Rapture, the Anti-Christ, the Sign of the Beast and other assumptions that make many particularly susceptible to conspiracy theories and fake news of every sort, including the frightening seduction of admiration for the tyrant Vladimir Putin. They discuss Russell Moore's interview with Adam Kinzinger where they talk about the religious sources and symbols displayed at the January 6 insurrection. The conservative propaganda machine is typified by Tucker Carlson who has challenged Ketanji Brown Jackson's nomination, demanding her LSAT scores. In closing, Ken and Ken affirm that they are Exhibit A: it's possible - and good - to change one's mind.

Kemp and Fong come together for a different TWO KENS conversation. They both like to listen to the other's podcasts. Kemp comments on Fong's interview with non-profit fund-raiser Vu Le. Fong heard Ken's exchange with Osahon Obazuaye and asked if the two might spend the majority of this podcast exploring how Kemp transitioned from the conservative friend Fong new three decades ago to the Beached White Male, today interacting with a young African American on a deep level about race in America. Fong probes into Kemp's journey, from education in conservative academic institutions, to a major secular university (UCLA), to a career in business. While he had formative experiences in race, he became a conservative in both religion and politics. He confesses his early preoccupation with Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. Promise Keepers introduced the Year of Racial Reconciliation and it killed the movement. Fong shared the stage with Franklin Graham.  That changed with the election of Barack Obama, for whom he voted in 2008. In a series of awakenings, The Beached White Male podcast took off, including a commitment to the Center for Racial Reconciliation and a deep friendship with Osahon - and Ken Fong. They end with a reflection on the cost of the journey, and more, the benefit.

The demonstrations in Washington, D.C. on January 6th were a stark reminder that 2021 may not provide the relief from 2020 many of us were hoping for. But they’re also a reminder of the importance of placing our faith in God this new year. 

In this first episode of 2021 I want to encourage you to be prepared for whatever 2021 holds. We cannot grow weary. As Daniel 11:32 tells us, those who know their God will be able to stand in strength and take action.

Christmas is just a few days away. One tradition that I started last year with my family is a photo album – with real printed photos – of the past year. As I was looking back at the photos from 2020, I felt grateful for more time spent with my family. I know not many people will look back at 2020 the same way. But I am reminded this Christmas week, that if we know God’s Word and have confidence in it, we can be assured that the Lord is with us. Mary’s story tells us this exact same message: Nothing is impossible with God.

November 11 is Veterans Day, a special day to remember and honor all of those who have served in our military. In light of this day, I sat down with a very special guest, my brother Edward Graham, who is a veteran himself.

Edward graduated from the United States Military Academy, also known as West Point, in 2003, just two years after 9/11. He served in eight combat deployments within special operations forces, and recently left his beloved military career to serve alongside my dad, Franklin Graham, at Samaritan’s Purse.

In this episode of Fearless, we talk about what Veterans Day means for those who served in the military, how Edward’s faith in Jesus Christ affected his mission, and ways that he and his fellow veterans can continue to serve the United States with the skills they’ve been given by God. Today, and every day, we are so thankful for our veterans and the sacrifices they’ve made for our country.

The 2020 elections have been said to be one of the most pivotal elections of our lifetime. Many experts have even said that it is the most critical since the election of Abraham Lincoln. As I was sitting in my quiet house on the eve of Election Day, I was wondering what my message would be when we found out the results. I was reminded of 2 Chronicles 20, when Jehoshaphat turned to God – this battle is not ours, it belongs to God. No matter who wins or loses, my message, my job, and my passions will remain the same. This year hasn’t taken God by surprise. The next days and weeks might be shocking to us, yet no matter the results the sun will still rise and God will still sit on His Throne.

I’ve always been passionate about religion and politics, but I know that not everyone my age, especially Christian millennials, shares the same sentiments towards this topic. Someone even once told me that he didn’t believe Christians should have roles in politics. 

In this episode I want to encourage you not to look at the word ‘politics,’ but let’s look at it as ‘governance’ and who will govern over you. Right now, we have two political parties fighting over how they will govern us.

40 million evangelicals did not vote in 2016, and many said it’s because they did not love either candidate. As I hear that again this year, I want to remind you that love has never been the standard regarding who we vote for. The standard is the policies that a candidate represents and their ability to lead this country.

Whether or not you love a certain candidate, as Christians and as Americans, we have been given the opportunity to vote in order to protect our families, our neighbors, and our freedoms. With the 2020 election just around the corner, this episode of the #FearlessPodcast addresses some things I want to encourage you to think about as you prepare to head to the polls.
