All things IVF and How to Navigate the Hurdles of Trying Again When a Cycle is Unsuccessful (with IVF Coach Kristin Dillensnyder)

All things IVF and How to Navigate the Hurdles of Trying Again When a Cycle is Unsuccessful (with IVF Coach Kristin Dillensnyder)

This week I have the pleasure of interviewing Kristin Dillensnyder-  IVF coach and 3 time IVF warrior that experienced 3 different outcomes… one cycle that worked, one cycle that didn’t and one cycle that ended in a miscarriage. As a certified life coach, Kristin became the person she needed during the hardest parts of infertility so other women who need IVF to grow their families will not be as consumed by their infertility as she was. In this episode, we talk about what it looks like to make the decision to move forward with IVF or to try again after an unsuccessful cycle and how to “fill you cup”  after feeling depleted and consumed by your infertility journey. Kristin shares with us what she would go back and tell herself as she was going through IVF for the first time, and also shares so many practical tips and tools you can implement in your own life- right now- wherever you are in your journey. Kristin shared so much wisdom and hope, but I think my favorite thing she said was, “It’s really important to believe that just because it hasn’t happened doesn’t mean it can’t happen.” Thank you for being here, friend. I hope this episode sparks courage and ignites hope for you in the week ahead.

    Trying After Loss

    Trying After Loss

*This episode contains conversations about child loss and stillbirth.* Loss is the common emotion that ties together all infertility stories. It's the loss of a dream. The loss of control. And sometimes it's the loss of a baby.

Today we’re talking to Brigette Kerber who went through years of infertility, IVF treatments and loss. Brigette bravely shares the story of how she learned to advocate for her health care, stay connected in her relationships, navigate a whole new level of grief and find ways to continue honoring the memory of her daughter, Lynnea.

This episode covers some really tough questions: What do you do when the worst possible thing happens to you? How do you grieve? How do you talk about it? How do you keep going? How do you ask for help? How do you get back up and try again? Should you?

What I Wish I Knew *Before* IVF

What I Wish I Knew *Before* IVF

IVF is a disruptive, expensive, high-stakes endeavor with a steep learning curve. In this episode, Elyse interviews Megan Johansen to discuss all the things they wish they knew before starting IVF.

The two chat about the questions you should be asking yourself, the conversations you should be having with your partner, as well as what the heck is up with that "McDonald's french fries on transfer day" thing and so much more.
