    TnEats: Babalu | Knoxville, TN

Molly and Matthew begin their Knoxville getaway at Babalu for a lunchy-brunchy tapa tasting! You’ll hear about all the joy they put in their mouths and a well-known, exciting bun. You might also hear Molly's "pathetic" cough a unless Matthew actually edits it out…

Apologies for any periods of decreased audio quality. Some of Molly's audio was slightly corrupted (and this time we're not talking about her cough).

Thank you to Babalu for the delicious meal!

The Effin'CrunchCrew & The Austin Young Show Part 2

The Effin'CrunchCrew & The Austin Young Show Part 2

Hold onto your sides, folks, because The Effin' CrunchCrew and The Austin Young Show are back for Part 2, and the "effin' mumble jumble" is reaching epic proportions! Buckle up for more outrageous stories, this time involving the Effinays' (allegedly?) shady side hustles and Big Spook's (possibly?) questionable business ventures.

Remember, it's all in good fun and definitely not based on any real-life illegal empires...wink wink. This episode promises the same gut-busting laughs as Part 1, so get ready for some hilarious (and fictional) hijinks!

Episode 117: Trouble in Chapter 17

Episode 117: Trouble in Chapter 17
Nathan and Eppy enter the publishing world in S4E2 Trouble in Chapter 17. "Feminity not feminism" author Ann Louise Clement wants to hire Jim as a bodyguard, which isn't his beat. But after witnessing an apparent attempt on her life, he can't not look into it. Unfortunately for Jim, Ann Louise is more interested in publicity than preservation, and he begins to suspect it's all a farce - until her agent is killed in an apparent case of mistaken identity. This snappy Juanita Bartlett episode isn't an "issue" episode, but we appreciate the chance to talk about how she uses the show to contrast progressive and retrograde ideas about feminism, as well as enjoy all of the Rockfordishness we know and love. 004: The Wrong-Way Taco

    004: The Wrong-Way Taco
This episode, Brooke brings four completely wordless 9 Chickweed Lane strips to the podcast. Would words have helped some of these strips? I think we all know the answer to that is: Probably not. We discover that Go Comics has three separate sections of this god-forsaken comic: 9 Chickweed Lane, 9 Chickweed Lane Classics, and Staff Favorites. From the Classics category, we see Edda dancing and Edda watching Edda dancing, if that makes any sense. Chances are it doesn't, which is totally on-brand. McEldowney's (almost certain) nudism is again discussed. Sven & Fleurette "Fleurry" Spocket are introduced, along with their calf, who is either their pet or lover. Both? Edda confuses a mysterious dog for her husband Amos. And finally, Edda dives into a pool for reasons that you seriously will not believe. We discover that Brooke (Dillman, not McEldowney) would forgive this comic strip if only every installment ended with a picture of a dog covering his eyes with a paw out of embarrassment. The Chickweed strips we discuss this episode: The first three are here. (https://twitter.com/9chickweedRAGE/status/1566137704588267520?s=20&t=16g6ovDH823K4lR-m_t3qQ) The big Sunday strip is here.
