How to Find Joy in Unexpected Places: A Conversation with Pam Farrel

How to Find Joy in Unexpected Places: A Conversation with Pam Farrel

Did you know recent studies show that less than 20% of us say we’re happy? Clearly, we need more joy!  This is why I’m thrilled to welcome the amazing Pam Farrell to the podcast today.  As my conversation with  Pam unfolded, a remarkable narrative of resilience and joy was unveiled in the face of adversity.

Picture this: waking up from a diabetic coma, and instead of sinking into despair, you find a renewed sense of purpose and joy. Pam's journey is not only inspiring, but it also serves as a potent reminder of how we can find joy in unexpected places - even in a hospital room. She showed us that by fostering a relationship with Jesus, we can discover an inexhaustible source of joy.

In the second half of our chat, Pam digs into joy's profound power and importance. With wisdom from personal experience, she shares how joy acts as a protective shield in our lives, enhancing our relationships and overall quality of life. She also shares some brilliant and practical suggestions to make every day a celebration of joy

After all, joy is not just an emotion; it's a way of life. So, let's start nurturing joy, one day at a time.

I'm Sick Of Complaining! Wait, Is That A Complaint? | Mandy Humberson & Katie Samuels

I'm Sick Of Complaining! Wait, Is That A Complaint? | Mandy Humberson & Katie Samuels

The rate of complaints in American conversations is 70-84%. Yet none of us like to hang out with complainers. Join Katie and Mandy as they share their favorite thing to complain about but challenge both themselves and you to step back, look at the big picture, resist criticism and practice gratitude. In the words of Maya Angleou, "If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude."

Episode 335 Impurity: The Other Side Of Immortality Galatians 5:19

Episode 335 Impurity: The Other Side Of Immortality Galatians 5:19
What an amazing episode we had last week which will continue to a two parter because impurity must be discussed in more depth. So let's not waste anymore time and get right in it. You would be surprised what the Greek translation of the word impurity. Shocking if I can be so bold and honest. With that we continue in Galatians 5:19 as we work through the Fruits of the Flesh
    Topics of discussion
    Marriage bed
    Divorce
    Sexual impurity
    And more

How Do I Integrate My Christian Faith with the Marketplace -- 3

How Do I Integrate My Christian Faith with the Marketplace -- 3

How do I Integrate my Christian faith with day-to-day business practices?

This is a question almost every Christian professional and businessperson considers regularly.  The answer isn’t simple, and it varies from time to time and place to place. But certain principle and practices can inform every set of circumstances.   In this post, I unpack the second of five practical steps:  Seek to live out the Fruits of the Spirit.

Walking in the Power of the Holy Spirit You Live Free from Worry

Walking in the Power of the Holy Spirit You Live Free from Worry
As a born-again believer, you are indwelt by the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God Himself, Who the Father sent at Jesus request to be your Comforter
and Helper just like Jesus. He is the Spirit of Truth Who guides you into all truth —and He will never leave you. He knows you intimately because He remains with you and will live inside you. (‭‭John‬ ‭14:16-17)‬‬

The Spirit is the source of your spiritual life, so you live by the impulses of the Holy Spirit Who motivates you to pursue spiritual realities. He is the Spirit of Christ Who empowers your life to walk in the The Spirit and express the fruits of the character of Christ through you in love. (Romans 8:9-10, Galatians 5:6)

As you yield to the Holy Spirit, your thoughts, feelings and purposes change to have the mind of Christ; and to love others as Christ loves you. The Holy Spirit your produces the fruits of Divine Love in you to be a witness of the power of Christ working mightily through you towards others. You walk in love, grace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. (Galatians ‭5:22-23)‬

Truth, Beliefs, and Other Fruits of the Spirit

Truth, Beliefs, and Other Fruits of the Spirit

Carter (for the first time!) listened to ZLORD podcast. He chose the previous episode, about Truth. Well, he wasn't happy with what he heard; thought things were not clear enough for his liking. So he wants to discuss Truth in more depth. teZa agrees, as any subject is interesting if it relates to understanding Spirit at greater depth. This episode could be: Truth, part 2 but more topics arise, naturally. tezalord.com for more.
