In this episode, we wrap up the Sermon on the Mount. Throughout this entire sermon, Jesus has been hitting us non-stop with hard truths. And He doesn’t let up, even at the end. He finishes up His sermon with some truths in Matthew 7:21 - 23 that are often misunderstood and misinterpreted. Is it possible to lose your salvation? Is it possible to think you are a Christian, and not really be? What did Jesus mean He said when He comes back there will be some who call Him, "Lord, Lord," and He will say to them, "I never knew you."

This sermon is one of the most studied, quoted, yet also ignored, chapters of God’s Word. The Sermon on the Mount is probably the best-known part of the teaching of Jesus, though arguably it is the least understood, and certainly it is the least obeyed.” In this episode, "Proceed with Caution," we are going to look at another part that often gets misinterpreted.

We delve into Matthew 7:7 – 12 where Jesus says that if we ask, it will be given, if we seek, we will find, and if we knock, the door will be open. Is Jesus inviting us to ask God for whatever our hearts desire, and if we do it with enough faith, He will grant our wish? Is Jesus saying that it is man who goes looking for Jesus and chooses Him as Lord and Savior? And what about Matthew 7:12, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” What exactly does that mean?! Tune in and find out!

Hypocrites, Dogs, & Pigs, Oh My!! We continue in Jesus' Sermon on the Mount looking at Matthew 7:1 - 6. This is a very small part of Jesus' sermon, but boy, does He pack a hard punch in them! In these verses, we learn about judging. Does God use how we judge as the gauge to judge us? Is judging hypocritical? Is there ever a time to judge? We also will delve into Jesus' cryptic line, “Don’t give what is holy to dogs or toss your pearls before pigs." Hmmm . . .

We are in the middle of our series, The Best Sermon Ever, the Sermon on the Mount, found in the book of Matthew. Today, we are going to look at Matthew chapter 6, verses 5 – 18, which deals with prayer, and more specifically, The Lord’s Prayer.
Prayer seems like a pretty simple subject. If you are a Christian, you pray! But is there a wrong way to pray? On the flip side, is there right way to pray? And if God is sovereign over every, single thing, why do we even need to pray? If God is unchangeable, does prayer even change things? In this episode, we will look at how Jesus answers these and other questions.
