    Pawnee Spotlight: Yvans Jourdain

    Pawnee Spotlight: Yvans Jourdain

Celebrate a very rare LEAP DAY with a very rare and awesome Pawnee Spotlight! Once again, Mark and Allen managed to snag a great person to interview, and what an interview it was! We were extremely lucky to have this opportunity to chat with Yvans in early January 2024. Nice, funny, talented, down-to-earth, a great conversationalist, and just a fascinating person overall. We had a blast talking with him, finding out a little more about him, and seeing what he thought of some of our "Parks and Rec" opinions, especially regarding the City Council. What a great interview ... another in a stream of wonderful guests we've had the privilege to invite on our show.

Join us as Mark and Allen discuss Parks, Grey's Anatomy, mental health and more with Yvans (aka Councilman Howser) who had great insights on all of these! This was an amazing Pawnee Spotlight from an amazing guest - what a treat! We hope you enjoy this as much as we did.

    Valentine (2001)

    Valentine (2001)

Happy Love Day! That's right folks we are celebrating love day with a horror movie and with my absolute pleasure, we are joined by my beautiful wife! We pressed play on this love story and learned the grave life lessons of how to get maggots in chocolates, why having a bucket of water is always handy and what wax does to genitals. So cozy up to that special person/thing, and enjoy the valentines week with a new episode of FROM DUSK TILL DON!

Dating Stories, Male/Female Relationships, PETA Sucks, the "Pick Me" Girls, Kim Kardashian's "Lights Off" Bedroom, Khloe Kardashian's Disconnect with her Baby, and more

On this week's episode we start off with some fun dating debacles followed by some existential questions about male/female relationships (the "pick-me" girls, bi-sexuality, alpha men, etc...). We also take Pete Davidson's side in his battle against the terrible organization that is PETA, we question whether Kim Kardashian really has the "lights off" during sexy time (are "modest" the true freaks in the bedroom?), and we take a deep dive into Khloe Kardashian's confession about feeling detached from her child she had via surrogate (how will her child feel when he sees it?).

"Sunday Morning Talk" (w/ Matt & Bowen)

"Sunday Morning Talk" (w/ Matt & Bowen)

It is sometimes nice to get together with your sister and have a Sunday Morning Talk. And on this episode of talking-based podcast Las Culturistas, that is what Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers do. Over weed and coffee, the two dive into all things recent (except Succession, sorry sorry sorry): the Disney-DeSantis war, marijuana in NYC, Chappell Roan's imminent ascendance to That Girl, "being a finalist", the definition of a "sneaky link", the Porsha and Gizelle of it all on RHUGT, wifi and internet wars both on land and in the skies, the end of Taylor and Joe, the Super Mario Bros movie, boygenius slaying it, and AO Scott's retirement. Also, Luigi as a queer figure, Peach as a nothing figure, and republicans as physically ugly figures. All this, Yellowjackets/Melanie Lynskey, Monster's Inc./Shrek, improv/roleplay, Ellen Pompeo quietly leaving Grey's Anatomy, reviews of The Thanksgiving Play and Sweeney Todd on Broadway, "Thatgirlability", Drew Barrymore being an icon, and coffee shop milk counter etiquette. Where were you when Taylor and Joe broke up? When do you think was the end of glamour and taste? Does your FYP give you what *you* want or what *they* want? Regardless of the answers to these questions... Katie, you're a finalist. Now have a great day.

Taylor Swift And The Tour That Pissed Everyone Off

Taylor Swift And The Tour That Pissed Everyone Off

    On the show today...

There’s been a lot of TV news overnight. Ellen Pompeo announced she’s leaving Grey's Anatomy after 19 seasons, and Neighbours is coming back?! Here's everything we know.

And there are a lot of angry Taylor Swift fans right now, after the website selling tickets for her Eras Tour was completely overwhelmed by buyers. Fans are calling for Taylor to step in, but is it really on her to take responsibility for the site's faults?

Plus, it's Weekend Watch time! And we have two shows to recommend that are at completely different ends of the streaming spectrum. One that's fun and a little risqué and another that's so wholesome it's almost guaranteed to cure your stresses.

Greetings Glocal Citizens! My guest this week is another long-time friend with a transformational vocation--helping leaders meet the challenges of high impact leadership. A British-Ghanaian, Michelle Awuku-Tatum has been based in the US for the majority of her professional career, particular in New York City. From her early school days managing fitting in when her family moved to Ghana from the UK and then back again, Michelle has always been fascinated by mysteries. She loves decoding situations and analyzing people. As a Professionally Certified, Executive Coach, every day she finds herself conversing with amazing leaders and executives, as they gather clues to help reshape their leadership approach and improve their skills. During her corporate career, she honed her detective skills; creating innovative processes, customer experiences, business strategies and models for global companies in Biotechnology (@lonza), Energy ( @bp Oil & Gas) and Financial Services (@Citigroup). Working with different personalities and cultures in companies that were sometimes slow to embrace change or undergoing rapid transformation, enables her to share lessons learned and relate to what her clients may be experiencing.
