Welcome back to Git Gud! As the title states, this was an editing NIGHTMARE! We recorded this Halloween special almost a year ago and never released it because it was such a feat to edit. Join us in telling scary stories to embrace the coming Fall season as we were too lazy to record something new and dug through our old audio files to find a publishable episode.

🎃 It’s 1989, and Rue McClanahan is trapped in an underground castle inhabited by a bunch of Gremlin-looking puppets called Greevils — and for some reason wants to leave.

As far as we know, this Halloween special only ever aired once, but somehow managed to capture our hearts and burrow itself into the cavernous depths of our memories.

Dan has seriously creepy tales this week, guaranteed to spook even the bravest of Creeps. Tale one contains TW, please proceed with caution as this tale is explicit. A young woman left to fend for herself is unable to handle all of the tragedy bestowed upon her. When she completes suicide, her spirit remains unsatisfied. Has she come back to the scene of her death to collect more souls? The second story is that of The Berini Haunting. A family experiences a long series of paranormal events that seem to precede real life tragedy. When an exorcism is preformed, what is the end result? Lynze starts with a long tale of the White Woman, who has followed someone for all of their life. Is it possible to bring your attachment with you, everywhere you go, for you whole life? A second story that is short tale feels like a brief sighting of a spirit, possibly disguised as her partner.

It’s Halloween and in lieu of any trick and/or treating this plague year, I offer you a conversation with Colin Dickey, mystery-maestro and curator of the creepy. Colin is the author of Ghostland: An American History in Haunted Places (2016) and The Unidentified: Mythical Monsters, Alien Encounters and our Obsession with the Unexplained – books that plumb the depths of the human mind and our fixation on the creepy things at the margins of the known world.

In this wide-ranging discussion, we touch upon the remnants of lost civilisations, cryptozoology and the link between wonder, fear and the conspiracy theory. I also offer my favourite (and fool proof) theory as to why all photos of Bigfoot are blurry.
