You know we had to start with the ultimate haunted doll flick, which is why Spooky Tuesday is kicking off our first theme month by taking on Child’s Play (1988). It’s the movie that gave us Chucky, Seventh Heaven Mom, a new girlfriend named Maggie, another rant about cultural appropriation, and a lifetime of trauma — so, suffice it to say, it’s iconic. On our latest episode, we’re breaking down all of that and more, including Monica’s cursed crush on a serial killer and Sydney’s starring role as the Bride of Chucky.
Show Notes:
Robert is a one-of-a-kind, handmade doll who stands about 40 inches tall and he is dressed in a sailor suit. Robert was gifted to Eugene Robbert Ottos as a child, and wherever Eugene went you would find Robert always by his side. Eugene's parents started to hear him having conversations with Robert late at night, which was entirely normal. It was only when Eugene would speak in his usual voice, but the voice that replied was completely different from his that's when Eugene's parents started to worry. In addition to the household chaos, soon Eugene began speaking of the doll in the first person as if he were real. Together Robert The Doll and Eugene Otto would go on to make a haunting mark in history. So settle in all you ghosts and ghouls, the main character in episode 5 of AFTERTHE3VER is Robert The Doll!

She sometimes could hear what sounded like someone breathing. Or someone whispering. The police came over to investigate…. and found nothing.
A few days later, the nurse called them again. This time, she reported seeing an apparition on the back stairs that “chattered its teeth at her” before completely disappearing into the darkness."
Dan and Lynze keep the scares coming in this 78th episode of Scared To Death! Dan has the strangest story to kick off episode. It's not what you think and the twist at the end just about sent Lynze over the edge. This story will give you a whole new set of fears. That sound in your attic, might not be what you think it is. And that thing you thought you saw out of the corner of your eye, might not be an apparition. In Dan's second tale, a terrible tragedy seems to be the base for a very haunted former school building in Canada. The building has since been transformed into modern condo's. Are the ghosts of the past haunting the current residents?
Lynze brings three juicy tales to her side of the episode. In her first story, we explore the idea that ghosts can be jealous and interfere in our most intimate moments. The story of Brenda and Doug is one that makes you really reconsider your most vulnerable moments. In her second story, Lynze gets all together too excited to try to scare Dan with one helluva creepy clown story! Oh, it's so juicy and will have you hiding all of your dolls. Lastly, in story three, a strange situation in which three people confirm the same thing, never knowing about the other's experiences. How does the evil from the other side seep into our lives?

The currently have over 55,000 video different testimonies in their archives. Interviews average over two hours in length. Over 110,000 hours of first hand accounts from survivors of the Holocaust, the Armenian genocide, the Rwandan genocide and other historical atrocities.
It is much harder to deny the truth when you can hear and watch thousands and thousands of survivors tell their stories.

Two really intense episode full of so many spoops! For our first story, Dan tells the tale of a very recent haunted doll. And not just any doll, a little girls Elsa doll is the source of some crazy activity. If your kid had a toy that was potentially haunted, you got rid of it and it showed back up at your house- what would you do? After that tale, Dan tells an incredible story about a haunted dorm, kind of. Three new friends seem to encounter an entity that wants more than just a little bit of their attention.
On the back half of the episode, Lynze has three really interesting stories, ranging from a family possibly bringing home a spirit that wants to get their attention, a shape shifting doppleganger and an episode of sleep paralysis unlike any other ever covered on Scared To Death.

Rum Runner Recipe
1 oz Dark Rum
1 oz White Rum
1/2 oz Creme de Banana
1/2 oz Chambord
1 oz Orange Juice
1 oz Pineapple Juice
1/2 oz Lime Juice
1/2 oz Grenadine
Mix all together and shake well over ice.
Strain into a glass filled with ice, and garnish with a cherry and an orange slice.

Okiku is a Japanese doll whose hair grows, the monks who look after her even cut her hair.
Mandy is a mischievous doll housed in a museum who throws items around and hides the staff's lunches.
Robert the doll was a boy's best friend but is now living in a museum. If you visit him you have to say "Hi Robert" and "Bye Robert", if you don't, you can expect bad things to happen.
Harold the doll is known for causing headaches, back pain, and death, so be careful saying his name or looking at pictures of him. He once had numerous spirits and a demon residing inside him.

Our first story centers on the haunted history of the RMS Queen Mary - supposedly the world's most haunted ship, currently operating as a hotel in Long Beach, California. How many spirits from its days as a transatlantic liner still haunt its labyrinth of cabins, hallways, and various decks? Our second story is all about "La Pascualita," the world's most infamous mannequin. Is the mannequin possessed? Is it the corpse of a long dead bridal shop's daughter?
