    Vantropolis: BRADEN HAGGERTY

    Vantropolis: BRADEN HAGGERTY
Braden Haggerty is an underwater camera operator with 20 years of experience in coordinating and capturing compelling, high-quality underwater footage for film and television. She’s also a PADI certified instructor and has worked as a stunt performer and safety diver. A graduate of Concordia University’s prestigious Film Production program in the early 90’s, Braden went on to train and work as a camera assistant all the while still working towards underwater as her specialty. She now works exclusively in water environments, and has worked on multiple TV series such as Batwoman, Altered Carbon, Siren and the Haunting of Bly Manor and feature films such as Power Rangers, Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol and the Superman film Man of Steel. As you can imagine, shooting underwater comes with its own set of challenges, technological workarounds, and terminology. Braden and Colby discuss the specialized requirements for shooting an underwater set, what it’s like working in a water tank and the time she handed a pool noodle to Russell Crowe. You’ll never look at underwater scenes the same way again!

Burned Bridges and a Sweet Tooth

Burned Bridges and a Sweet Tooth

Kat and Moose discuss Halloween crafts and The Haunting of Bly Manor on Netflix, roller coaster rides like the Tower of Terror and small town rides like The Gravitron, and the slippery slope of Dr. Kevorkian. Moose visits with her new doctor and reflects on her first visit with a nutritionist, who taught her about portion sizes and Kat reveals some of her least favorite foods and best way to lose weight including spirulina. Kat reflects on her hospital waiting room experience. Mercury is moving out of retrograde on the same day as the election. Moose challenges Kat to give a non-expert explanation of cause and effect within the universe. Moose wanted to go to Space Camp and Kat longs to see her red-tailed hawks, all longings for how we can connect with the world. We’re inspired by Cheryl Strayed and Moose’s experience hiking the Appalachian Trail. There’s a debate about burning bridges, and which ones should be burned down. Kat experiences a COVID test experience with her Mom, and takes a spin down south

The Review - The Haunting of Bly Manor

The Review - The Haunting of Bly Manor

Ladies & Gentlemen…imagine watching 9 hours of inescapable dread and terror…watching characters walk the tight rope between the living and the dead…watching forbidden romance and off the charts sexual tension…that’s exactly how I felt after the first Presidential Debate, and I hope those of you that experienced it are doing ok and have recovered.

As far as this episode, we are reviewing one of the most anticipated new series of the year! After conquering the horrors of Hill House, it’s time to dive into the spiritual (no pun intended) successor… “The Haunting of Bly Manor”. Does this show deliver in the way that so many of us were hoping? Is it scary? Is it powerful? Is it perfectly splendid? Let’s put on our brave faces and find out!

The scares! The romance! The emotion!
