The Rubber Biskit Road Show Presents "Never Say Never: An Epic Journey – Volume One,  Part Seventeen - "Love Means Never Having To Say You're Sorry"

In part seventeen, The GYPSY concludes his tale of the lost treasure trove of comics with Brandon Rison, the sympathetic Topeka, Kansas bookstore owner. However, he withholds a crucial detail—the devastating aftermath of his mother Shirley's reaction to the revelation.

Despite the immense value of the comics she destroyed, Shirley fails to grasp the gravity of her actions. The GYPSY's frustration and anger reach a boiling point, leading him to walk away from his mother. However, the situation takes a horrifying turn as Shirley experiences a mental break with reality, descending into a homicidal rage directed at her own son.

Haunted by the traumatic events of that day, The GYPSY recounts how he was forced to take drastic action to save his own life. The memory of his mother's attempt to kill him, driven by her shattered mental state, continues to haunt him nearly four decades later.

As The GYPSY leaves the bookstore, he realizes that he must embark on a long motorcycle ride to clear his head and confront the painful aftermath of that tragic day. The journey becomes a solitary quest for solace and reflection, a means to come to terms with the enduring scars of the past and find peace within himself.

In this poignant part of "Never Say Never: An Epic Journey", The GYPSY grapples with the profound truth that love, though powerful, does not exempt one from the need for forgiveness and reconciliation.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a rebroadcast of a podcast episode from 01/24/2022. I stopped podcasting to help my wife through her battle with stage 4 breast cancer. My wife recovered and I am now ready to start podcasting once more. Over the next couple of months, I will repost my past podcasts and start new episodes in 2024.

    Murder and Mayhem

    Murder and Mayhem
Dr. Carole puts on her forensic psychiatrist expert witness hat to talk about murder: Florida vs Scott Nelson, now in its penalty phase, after finding him guilty of murdering Jennifer Fulford. Dr. Carole puts Nelson on her couch, taking us from his traumatic childhood including an abusive dad and schizophrenic mom, to his 25 years in prison where they 'treated me like an animal,' to the fateful day when he murdered Jennifer, whom he describes as 'collateral damage' after life turned him into a 'homicidal maniac.' Next, she talks about mayhem, the political divisiveness causing patriotism to fall to record lows-and the key players in today's headlines who are responsible, Colin Kaepernick and the Women's Soccer Team. Unbelievably Colin got Nike to withdraw their new Betsy Ross American flag sneaker from the market. The Women's Soccer Team dropped the American flag to take photos and rejected the President's invitation to the White House. She urges you to retweet her hashtag MakePatriotismCoolAgain.
