Happy Fourth of July! Well the FTC v Xbox case ended, and yeah, the FTC doesn't know what they are doing. Jon Favreau opens up about Din Djarin, Kevin Bacon heads back to TV and Netflix seems to be getting HBOs best hits? All hail the rise of Barbenheimer, Indy makes a small whip in the box office, and stop asking Russel Crowe about Gladiator 2. Plus we have a spoiler filled review of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Indiana Jones Ranked: 1.Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 2.Raiders of the Lost Ark 3.Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny 4.Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull 5.Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

    Millennial Nostalgia

    Millennial Nostalgia
Josh and Jared begin the episode with a rare cold opening, covering some fairly current events in classic ‘table in a basement’ fashion. Just remember we’re not ignorant, just dumb. This episode is a massive wave of nostalgia as classic 90s toys and movies are reflected upon fondly. If you were born in the 90s and or have a pulse, there’s something in this episode for you.

Episode 246: The Nerd Before an MMO

Episode 246: The Nerd Before an MMO
Is the Day before real? does anyone actually believe it to be? Also Xbox and Bethesda had a developer direct, 343 continues to deploy smoke and mirrors, and Marvel's Avengers is finally being put out of its misery. Netflix gets a new CEO, and may actually start its password sharing crackdown,. Meanwhile, Rick and Morty will never be the same. Alec Baldwin faces the most ludicrous charges known to man, James Cameron was not snubbed by the Oscars, now Jared Leto is out to kill Tron.

    Memory Jogger: Matchbox Cars

    Memory Jogger: Matchbox Cars

In this episode of Memory Jogger, Jason and Wyatt use the randomizer to choose from a group of topics and see how much they can remember (without any prior show notes.) After sharing their experiences, they can then cheat if necessary by using the Google machine to find anything they might have missed from their memories.

The topic chosen by the randomizer during this episode is Matchbox Cars! First, the duo come up with early memories of collecting toy cars. Then, they talk about the different types of cars, playsets, and where they played with them. The conversation turns to how are parents afforded some of our more expensive toys and then "losing" toys during movies and donating to needy families.

Did we jog any memories or experiences with Hot Wheel, Match box or Micro Machine cars that you have collected over the years? Tell us your jogged memories either by commenting to our show notes on Rediscoverthe80s.com, tweet us @RD80s and @infamouswb or better yet Leave us a VOICEMAIL and we'll respond to it on our next episode → https://telb.ee/rd80s

    Jeep Slander and IMSA Recap

On episode 6 of the Forza World Podcast, we recap our insane race weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and yet another baffling Porsche Cars & Coffee! A special thank you goes out to IMSA, CTMP, and especially the 🐐 Sam Fellows for hooking us up - we can't wait to do more with the track in the coming months.  We also sat in a 2 million-dollar Porsche Carrera, somehow. At 20:50, we get into the Forza talk about this upcoming Forza Horizon Hot Wheels pack. The boys had a few issues with the overall rollout of the pack itself, and how long it took for it to come out after the announcement. Note that the pack had not been released at the time of recording, so a full review episode will be coming next! Jason's Complaint Corner features transport trucks (lorries) blocking passing lanes, and Jason's pick for F*** That Car was the disgusting Jeep Patriot. The podcast closes with an all-time rant and some top-tier Jeep Slander - you won't want to miss it! All that and more on this episode of the Forza World Podcast.

    But Wait, There's More!!! (E3 2022)

    But Wait, There's More!!! (E3 2022)
They came and went in a flash, but 2022’s E3-less summer gaming showcases are now behind us. As the dust settles, and the gaming industry sets into its summer lull, we look back on one of the season’s biggest events: Xbox and Bethesda Showcase. With much to prove during their first outing post potential merger, team green and team RPG factory had some tricks up their sleeves. For Xbox’s part, the promise of nearly all titles coming to Gamepass loomed largely, and their “one more thing” moment included the legendary Hideo Kojima. Bethesda, on the other hand, wasted no time by showing off its newest coop shooter Redfall, with an impressive early build promising the same fan-favorite gameplay well known from Arkane Studio. The show ended with Tod Howard (his brown boots and jacket included). We were given an extended first taste of the gameplay and systems of their newest title Starfield. But what did we think about the minutes-long demo of “Fallout In Space?” How was the showcase overall? Is an E3-less summer worth living? All that and much more on this week’s episode of Oblivious Games….RIGHT NOW!!!! Music: Electric Mantis - Daybreak https://youtu.be/Lz68DccWZ4U
