Golfing Paradise: Unveiling the Beach House Hilton Head Island with Jay Wiendl and Insights from the US Senior Amateur Qualifier Joe Jaspers

Imagine teeing off at the perfect golf spot, only to find out it's also an iconic beach house with a private beach and Tiki Hut. That's exactly what we found at Hilton Head Island, as our guest Jay Wendell from the Beach House reveals. The Beach House isn't just a golfer's paradise; it's an ideal spot for everyone, with its close proximity to Celebration Park and a slew of restaurants. It's exciting how the Beach House has transformed over the past year with exhilarating renovations and activities, and we're thrilled to share this journey with you.

Now, let's switch gears and put the spotlight on our second guest, Joe Jaspers from the Charlotte Tour. Fresh off qualifying for the US Senior Amateur, Joe brings an infectious energy about the upcoming tournament.

We dive deep into match play strategies, exploring how it differs from stroke play and how consistency and smart play can get under an opponent's skin. Drawing from his years of experience, Joe offers nuggets of wisdom like taking one less club and playing to the front edge of the green, rather than trying to hit the flag. You don't want to miss out on these valuable insights; it's like having your own personal golf guru. So grab your clubs and get ready to tee off with us!

Generation. How to Get Better Sleep

    How to Get Better Sleep

Millions of people have trouble getting enough sleep and are looking for solutions. Dove award winning pianist and All Heart podcast host Paul Cardall, who's experienced insomnia as a result of past medical challenges, explains the process of sleep and how music is helping people achieve the REM stage. That final and most important stage of fulfilling a deep sleep happens less and less as we age. Paul talks about his SLEEP project featuring 3 songs he composed during the pandemic to help him enjoy better sleep. He's making this personal tool available to fans so they can wake up refreshed and in a good mood.  This is the 42nd episode of All Heart with Paul Cardall.

    LISTEN TO SLEEP

Why should you listen to this music before going to bed? Music can aid sleep by helping you feel relaxed and at ease. With streaming apps and portable speakers, it’s easier than ever to take advantage of the power of music wherever you go. Given music’s accessibility and potential sleep benefits, it might be a good time to try adding it to your nightly routine. We’ve known for years that music has the ability to enhance our moods and help us relax. This is because music affects different areas of the brain, and stimulates feel-good chemicals. SLEEP is created with certain frequencies that are known to trigger the sleep process in the brain, while relaxing the body.

60 Seconds for Story Prompt Friday: Like a Cracked Pot Where Is the Beauty in Your Flaws?

60 Seconds for Story Prompt Friday: Like a Cracked Pot Where Is the Beauty in Your Flaws?

Hello to you listening in Eugene, Oregon!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds for Story Prompt Friday with your host, Diane Wyzga.

In various conversations lately I've been talking about being broken or, at least being cracked. We are cracked. We complicate being cracked by creating inner stories about our worthiness while trying to ignore our pain and hide our flaws.

Maybe it’s true and maybe it isn’t but there once was a woman who carried water from the river to her hut. Her pot was cracked while her neighbors had perfect pots. Each looked at the other with envy or disdain. Until one day the woman noticed that along the path she walked with her cracked pot flowers had sprung up from the watering the seeds received every day.

Story Prompt: Without you being just the way you are, flowers of strength, courage and wisdom would not have bloomed where you are walking.  Flaws and weaknesses are natural parts of life. Where is the beauty in your flaws? Write that story!

Practical Tip: The magic of stories is also in the sharing. If you wish share your story with someone or something.   All that matters is you have a story.

You’re invited: “Come for the stories - stay for the magic!” Speaking of magic, I hope you’ll subscribe, share a nice shout out on your social media or podcast channel of choice, (including Android, Amazon Music and Audible) and join us next time!
