Love is such a funny word.  It can invoke all sorts of meanings depending on a person's situation.  Some use it casually to refer to an interest.  Others use it sparingly when in a committed relationship.  Whatever your meaning, do you think it is the solid basis for any long term relationship?  When you see couples celebrate their 50th anniversary, is it because they still get those butterflies in their stomach when they think of each other?  Join my old buddy, Imran, and I as we talk about love and what it means to have a compatible partner.

    Episiode 21: Sexual Incompatibility

    Episiode 21: Sexual Incompatibility

Anna and Rachel start a discussion about sexual incompatibility this week. In this episode they discuss incompatibility when it comes to sex drives, kinks, and "just okay" sex. How do you communicate with your partner about these things that can incite so much shame? At what point are these things make or break? They also lightly touch on “sexual variation” but hope to have a guest on in the future who can speak to this more at length.

    How to Defeat Divorce Drama

    How to Defeat Divorce Drama

In this episode, host Chandra B. interviews Dr. Tina about ways to divorce without Drama. We know that nearly 50% of marriages end in divorce. So why do people still choose to tie the knot? Despite people getting married at an older age the rate of divorce hasn't change in the past several decades...so whats the problem?
Chandra B. and Dr. Tina take a hard look at what divorce attorneys are citing as reasons couples are calling it quits. Traditional reasons like Addictions, Violence and Infidelity are clear but what about Incompatibility, Growing Apart and Lack of Commitment.
The pandemic has forced many couples to remain in their household together after the decision to divorce has been made due to finances or the court system being closed or having reduced functioning. The two identify such scenarios and steps to avoid drama as well as reframe how they view the situation. Although the last thing one may be thinking about is persevering the friendship it will beneficial especially when children are involved. #Divorce is a major loss even if you are the one filing the paperwork, be sure to allow yourself time to go through the grieving process. Getting to a place of acceptance will help your mental health and allow you to divorce with your dignity and without drama.

    Can Compatibility Affect Your Marriage?

    Can Compatibility Affect Your Marriage?

The Bible is clear, your marriage and my marriage is a mirror of the Gospel. This idea is clearly explained in Ephesians chapter five; Husbands are to be like Christ in the way He loves the church, and wives are to be like the church in the way they respect and honor Christ. In other words, human marriage is the earthly image of God's divine plan for humanity. So why then is the idea of incompatibility in marriage such a common notion? In this episode, Dale and Veronica will address the idea of incompatibility in marriage and replace this wrong way of thinking with truth from the Bible.
