In this edition of the podcast, Trish Regan discusses Donald Trump's confrontation with a judge in the $370 million civil case against the former President. Donald Trump reportedly dressed down the judge, expressing his frustration with what he perceives as a witch hunt and election interference. The New York Times headline reads, "Trump rebukes judge in court." Meanwhile, the Judge reportedly fired back, telling Trump's lawyers, "Control your client!" After leaving the courtroom, Donald Trump spoke to reporters and expressed frustration at a case he insists is politically motivated. Hear Trump's statements both before and after his appearance before the Judge. Trish Regan analyses the events.

When we treat church like a business or an enterprise, we become more focused on events or experiences rather than ministry and community. Marcus Brecheen, who leads the Gateway Network, works with numerous churches of all sizes, and he has seen many churches inadvertently operate in this way.
In this episode of Church InTension, The King’s University President, Dr. Jon Chasteen, talks with Marcus about this problem and how churches can address it.
Have you ever had a boss that was constantly frustrated with you no matter how hard you tried? Have you ever had a boss that always expected better and was never satisfied?
CJ is that boss. While CJ is brilliant and driven, he feels like his team is incompetent and full of weak links. He doesn’t know how to work with them. If he were in their shoes, he would run with the ideas he gives them, but none of his team is smart enough. CJ is constantly disappointed in them. He keeps thinking that one day they’ll get better, but they don’t. CJ feels stuck. He doesn’t know how to improve his team.
According to Kim, if CJ wants his team to improve, he needs to learn how to help them. By getting angry and frustrated, he doesn’t help them grow. CJ needs to understand why his employees think a certain way and help them acknowledge what is stopping them from getting where they want to be. In other words, CJ needs to learn how to coach; it will help him dramatically in becoming a better leader.

Ever since abandoning Americans in Afghanistan, Joe Biden has undergone a sharp reassessment by voters—and the results are not pretty. Prior to August 8, not one single national poll tracked by Real Clear Politics put Biden’s job approval in negative territory. Since the last week of August, a full 15 of the 21 polls they’ve tracked show a majority of voters disapproving of the president’s performance.
Gallup’s latest poll has Biden ten points underwater— disapproving 53 to 43. In June, 55 percent of independents supported the president. That number is now at 37 percent.
Voters may not be the only ones reassessing Biden as chief executive. After spending the summer ignoring the border crisis, the media has suddenly showered it with attention, Democrats in Congress—and even the NAACP have lashed out at Biden.
The sudden focus on Biden’s incompetence suggests the administration has reached a tipping point. Let’s hope so. It’s long past time that the president is held accountable for his failures.

Let’s look at the meaning of incompetent: Not having or showing the necessary skills to do something successfully. Who feels like that on the weekly? Or on the daily! In fact, FEELING like you’re incompetent is actually better than the alternative – BEING incompetent!

In this episode during PRSA's #EthicsMonth, Mary Beth West interviews close colleague Susan Hart -- a past president of the PRSA Nashville Chapter, a past PRSA Nashville Chapter Hercules Award honoree, and a now-former / resigned PRSA College of Fellows member.
Susan voluntarily discontinued her 35-year membership in PRSA in 2018, in disgust with PRSA's National leadership cultural shift, after what she describes as "one of the most stressful experiences of (her) life" at the hands of PRSA National leadership, who infamously opposed ethics-driven bylaw reforms -- after secretly reversing course from prior assurances that measures would be supported.
In this interview, Susan discusses:

California Governor Gavin Newsom has new reason to worry about his future, and California voters have reason for hope about theirs. A new poll from U.C. Berkley shows a jump in support for recalling the governor, with the electorate evenly split on the question.
Recalls should be reserved for cases of absolute incompetence or corruption. Newsom has offered both in his response to the pandemic.
He locked down the warm-weather state, which forced social interaction indoors where transmission risks are highest, rather than keep outdoor venues open.
He imposed onerous mask and distancing mandates, while conspicuously violating them himself on multiple occasions.
And Newsom has kept schools shuttered while sending his own children to in-school learning at private schools.
His shameless elitism deserves the strongest possible rebuke from voters. The incompetence with which Newsom has managed this pandemic adds to the urgency of replacing him. California voters have a real opportunity to send a message about accountability to the governing class.
