Hoosier military families received gifts from the Indiana Pacers, Indiana Fever and JAKKS Pacific toy company in an event called Christmas in July. The National Guard Patriot Academy has teamed up with a local school system to provide effective dropout prevention strategies. The Red, White and Blue Program is designed to provide middle school students with two days and nights of character development, education, physical training, career preparation and positive mentoring. The Indiana Guard's Chemical, Biological, Radiological/Nuclear, and Explosive - Enhanced Response Force Package is taking steps to obtain its national certification this week at Camp Atterbury Joint Maneuver Training Center. Soldiers and Airmen have trained all week on skills such as medical assistance, search and extraction and nuclear decontamination.
