    Ep.120 Indiana’s Indiscretions

    Ep.120 Indiana’s Indiscretions

We make it full circle with this Indiana episode because Indiana was the first episode Kenzie appeared in! Lauren tells the head-scratching mystery surrounding Clarence Roberts, who may be the only person ever to die twice. Then, Kenzie shares the disappearance and murder of Jill Behrman, a young woman whose case may have been questionably solved. You may need to take notes to keep up with this episode!

    Lauren Richman: No Camera Required

What constitutes a photograph? In its purest form, photography is literally "writing with light." A camera is not necessarily mandatory for creating photographic images. I discuss the world of cameraless photography with Lauren  Richman, who curated an exhibit called "Direct Contact" at the Eskenazi Museum of Art in Bloomington, Indiana.

Erin Depke and the Comedy Student

Erin Depke grew up as a very shy child, hiding behind her mom whenever she could. Now the junior at Indiana University is in her third year as a stand-up and commands the attention from audiences all over Bloomington. She's a regular at the Comedy Attic, where she opened for Beth Stelling last fall, and will be performing at the Middle Ground and Limestone Comedy Festivals this spring. March NCAA basketball logistics, announcing & more, with Indiana's Chuck Crabb

March NCAA basketball logistics, announcing & more, with Indiana's Chuck Crabb

Basketball is on the minds of many this month, and InTek Freight & Logistics: The Podcast is no exception. As we’re based in Indiana and we deal in logistics, what better way to celebrate NCAA tournament time than an interview about both, with Indiana University legend Chuck Crabb. Chuck, who retired last year, is probably best known as the public address announcer for Hoosier basketball for more than four decades, but he also worked a day job as IU's senior assistant athletic director for facilities. And in that role, he handled plenty of logistical challenges in March and beyond. We go over a couple in particular, a 1978 Final Four hardwood emergency in St. Louis (https://www.ismworld.org/supply-management-news-and-reports/news-publications/inside-supply-management-magazine/october-2017-issue/managing-the-madness/), and, much more recently, the 2021 NCAA “bubble“ Tournament (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2021_NCAA_Division_I_men%27s_basketball_tournament), which saw all games played in Indiana due to the pandemic - from the first four to the Final Four. Arenas included IU’s Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall, Butler’s Hinkle Fieldhouse, Purdue’s Mackey Arena, the Indiana Farmers Coliseum, Bankers Life Fieldhouse and Lucas Oil Stadium. Chuck talks with Rick and Kevin about what went into both of these unusual circumstances, the importance of team effort, shares a few anecdotes about longtime Hoosiers Coach Bob Knight, and even drops a sample of his signature announcing style. Plus, get an update on what he’s up to now – hint, he’s not sitting still.

    The Prodigal Sons

    The Prodigal Sons

This message is dedicated to the sinner and the scribe. It goes out to the one who’s in a far off land — spending your life on reckless living. But it’s also for the one in the field — counting your religious merits, trying to earn acceptance. It’s for the one who’s ashamed of what they’ve done, and for the one who’s proud of what they’ve done. It’s for the one who’s lost and the one who thinks they’re not lost. It’s for everyone.
