Jabra Perform 45 Bluetooth Headset Review

Jabra Perform 45 Bluetooth Headset Review

Welcome to this episode of the Headset Advisor Tech Review Podcast, where you'll find out what makes the new Jabra Perform 45 and unique, and more convenient alternative to using a standard walkie talkie.

When you listen, you'll find out the details on its greater wireless range, a good idea as to how much it weighs (which isn't much),  how much battery life you'll get, and of course how much it costs because everyone wants to know that. And if you listen to the end, you'll get a couple of ideas on how you can score discounts.

This episode is narrated by Doug Merritt, the Foundere and  CEO of Headset Advisor.

If you work in a retail shop, or in a busy warehouse, chances are, there's  internal, two way communications taking  place. Odds are, that communication is being done through the use of a walkie talkie, or something similar to that. Even though walkie talkies have been used for decades, there are some downsides to using them. Among them include their single purpose design. They're not designed, for example, to be used with phone communications, only direct, two way communications.

The other thing is they can be cumbersome to pack around. Some  walkie talkies are heavy, and  they can be misplaced easily. And if that weren't enough, they typically require you to hold it, which leaves only one hand free to do other things.  Fortunately, Jabra has come up with a very attractive alternative in the new Jabra Perform 45 headset.

Rather than lugging a walkie talkie around, you can replace that with a tastefully designed, lightweight, great sounding headset.

The Jabra Perform 45 weighs about the same as half the weight of a typical  household lightbulb. Or, the same as about three tablespoons of your favorite morning coffee. When you look at it in those terms, you have to agree, that's light, and being lightweight means a lot when it comes to wearing a headset.

You can not only keep in touch with your coworkers at the press of a button, but you can walk and talk up to 300 feet. Other Bluetooth headsets stop at a maximum distance of 100 feet. More range means a wider footprint for you to move around your workspace.

If you don't use two way communicatins, you can download the Jabra Direct software and the walkie button can be repurposed for other commonly used features such as speed dial, mute and more.

We tested the microphone for voice sound quality, and noise reduction. It excelled in both areas. We tested its ability to remove noise against the sounds  of:

    • Office noise
    • Dogs barking
    • Babies crying
    • And our personal favorite, the noisy Vitamix blender test

Jabra states that the Perform 45 removes up to 80% of background  noise. Based on our tests, I'd agree. It did a great job to remove all the different noises we threw at it.

Noise reduction aside, it also sounded very crisp, clear and professional. The microphone raises up to mute when you're on a call, and it turns off coworker two way chatter when you're needing to help someone face-to-face, which Jabra calls Face2Face mode.

In terms of talk time, you get 8 hours of battery life when using the Perform  45 for business call, and up to 20 hours for your two way communications. Recharging the battery takes about 140 minutes.

The price is very agreeable for the quality of this product at $149.99. But, if you'd like to get a discount, make sure to use coupon code BLOG when checking out on our website, which is www.headsetadvisor.com

Best Work From Hom Headset 2022

Best Work From Hom Headset 2022

In this episode of the Headset Advisor Tech Review Podcast, find out which headset rose to the top of my list for the best work from home headset 2022.

Anyone who works from home, understands that there are unique challenges that come along with that. Everything from the sounds of babies crying, dogs barking, doorbells, landscapers all contribute towards making this a challenging place to work.

Listen to find out what makes my number one pick the best of the best in 2022, and why this is one headset you really need to be using.

This episode is narrated by Doug Merritt, Founder, and CEO of Headset Advisor.

So, you work from home, and you have a family canine, and kids too. That, as we know, creates noise challenges and demands for your attention and a lot more. Having the right tools can help you to deal with these things, and one of those tools is a good quality, great sounding headset.

Here's the headset that I feel is number one among all the availabe choices out there; the Orosound  Tilde Pro.

So what makes this headset any better compared to some of the more brand recognizable models? Here's why I think it's worthy of the top spot.

    1. Sound quality. This headset sounds noticeably better than just about any other headset we've tested to date. And, I have to say, we test a lot of headsets. So if having a headset that gives your callers a nice, deep, rich sound that's better than the rest, then the Orosound Tilde Pro is the headset for you.

    2. Noise Reduction. Let's be honest here, working from home can be a real  challenge when it comes to dealing with all  those different sounds going on in the background. The Tilde Pro does a superb job at filtering out unwanted noise. That gives your callers a better audio experience, and keeps them focused on the conversation,  and not the noise going on around you.

    3. Active Noise Cancellation.  This is a newer feature not found on all headsets. This is an electronic anti-noise feature that counteracts background sounds. The purpose of this feature is to allow you, the headset wearer, the ability to not be distracted by the sounds going on  around you. And, when you're  not distracted, you get more done.

    4. VoiceFirst. This feature allows you to have a face-to-face conversation  with someone while wearing the headset, and not have to remove it to do so. Removing a headset, and placing it back on repeatededly throughout the day can get irritating. This feature eliminates the frustration.

    5. Battery. You get 28 hours of talk  time, and 50% charge in 30 minutes. You can even continue using the Tilde Pro when it's plugged in for a recharge. That's someone most headsets can't claim.

    6. Modularity. The microphone can be used, or not because it's magnetically attached. It's easy to remove and attach. for business calls, use the boom mic, but for entertainment, remove it for listening, but there are several built in mics so you can still have a conversation if the boom mic is stored away. You also have the choice of oversize ear cushions, or those that go against the ear. Your choice in either case.

    7. Warranty. The Tilde Pro comes with a whopping 3-year warranty. That's one to two years longer than other brands. Longer warranty means longer peace of mind.

    Jabra Evolve2 65 Vs. Evolve 75 Vs. Evolve2 85

    Jabra Evolve2 65 Vs. Evolve 75 Vs. Evolve2 85

Listen to this episode of the Headset Advisor  Tech Review Podcast to find out how three highly popular Jabra headsets compare; the Jabra Evolve2 65, the tried and true Evolve 75, and the beefy Jabra Evolve2 85.  Find  out what they have in  common, and what makes them different.

Make sure to use coupon code BLOG when shopping on our website which is www.headsetadvisor.com

This episode is narrated by Doug Merritt, Founder and CEO of Headset Advisor.

If you use headsets, or if you're someone who's responsible for buying them, then you probably know the Jabra name. Jabra headsets are used around the world, and the brand has a loyal following.

So how do these three headsets compare? Let's take a quick look.

Wireless range. All three models are rated up to 100 feet. This is pretty standard among Bluetooth headsets.

Battery life. The Evolve2 65, and 85 models offer uup to 37 hours of battery life, whereas the Evolve 75 gives you up to 18.  No doubt the newer models are benefiting from advances in battery technology.

Weight. The Evolve2 65 weighs 6.2 ounces as does the Evolve 75. But, the Evolve2 85 hasn't been dieting lately because it tips the scales at 10 ounces. That's considered heavy by headset standards. Though advances in headset design does allow heavier headsets to feel lighter.

Busy light. All three have busy lights, but the 65, and 85 models have lights that can be seen from any viewing angle. That gives them an advantage of the 75.

Ear speakers. All three use 40mm ear speakers. This could mean they all sound pretty much the same, and they might. But, sound quality is subjective so when listening to all three you could find that you have a preference for one over the others.

Active Noise Cancellation. This is a relatively new business headset feature, and it's  designed to give the headset wearer the ability to reduce ambient room noise. The Evolve2 65 doesn't have this feature, though the Evolve 75, and Evolve2 85 do. The Evolve2 75 is the first model up the line that offers it.

Bluetooth version. The Evolve 75 uses Bluetooth version 4.2, whereas the Evolve2 65 and 85 use version 5.0. 5.0 is designed to provide faster data transmission speeds, longer wireless range, and lower power consumption.

Microphone. The Evolve2 65 uses a 3 MEMS mic array that's noise canceling. The Evolve 75 uses a noise canceling uni-directional mic, and the Evolve2 85 uses a whopping 10 MEMS  digital noise canceling mic array. And while on that particular mic, it can be swung upwards, and out of site where it stores away in the body of the ear speaker housing. When you pull it down, it unmutes.

    Connectivity.
All three connect to computers and mobile devices, and they all come with USB adapters (dongles), and allow for connecting up to 8 devices.

Color choice. The Evolve2 65, and the Evolve2 85 allow you to choose between black, and beigs where the Evolve 75 comes in one color only, black. So, if you want to express your individuality or non comformist tendencies, then the 65 or 85 could be a great choice.

7 Headset Myths Vs. 7 Headset Facts

7 Headset Myths Vs. 7 Headset Facts

In this episode, you'll hear seven very common headset myths, or untruths, and seven facts that help to dispel them. This is good information because if you're a Buyer, or someone who's  doing headset research, there's some valuable information that might help to save you from making a bad headset buying decision.

You'll also get two tips  on how you can get a lower price on any new headsets when shopping on our website, which is www.headsetadvisor.com

This episode is narrated by the Founder, and CEO of Headset Advisor, Doug Merritt.

Headsets are used in business a lot these days. One reason is the increased use of computers for voice and video communications, with the  Covid pandemic of 2020 helping to accelerate this.

So with expanded headset adoption being at the forefront of this episode, it's the myths, or misconceptions surrounding headsets that's really the core content.

    Starting with headset myth #1
All headsets are pretty much the same, except their price.

Headset fact: Not true. Headsets vary in a lot of ways; in their design, comfort,  microphone sound quality,  noise reduction ability, ear speaker quality, even reliability and length of warranty.

    Headset myth #2
    All headsets are comfortable

Headset fact: Once again, not true. Because comfort is not only subjective, but it  depends on several things. Among them include headset weight, design, adjustability,  padding type, and how much is used, and more.

There's also wearing style. Some people can't wear over the head style headsets because they give them headaches, even migraine headaches. So, if all headsets were comfortable, I think  these people would disagree.

Others can't wear earpiece headsets because they won't stay on.

    Headset myth #3

All headsets pretty much sound the same

Headset fact:  False. There's  many variations in how headsets sound. Some make you sound like a Rock Star, others make you sound bad. Some reduce background noise well,  others don't remove any. Ear speakers also vary alot. Suffice it to say, this  "aint  so"

    Headset myth #4
It really doesn't matter where you buy your headsets, because "it's just a headset"

Headset fact: If you like not getting your emails, and calls returned, and you don't like getting professional advice and support, and you don't want the option to trade in old headsets, or have a monthly plan for acquiring headsets, or even not getting help from your vendor, then it doesn't matter at all, which would make this statement correct. If you want better, then it matters.

    Headset myth #5
Using a Bluetooth headset with a computer is a good idea

Headset fact: No it's not. Shorter range, inconsistent connection, and audio quality are a few reasons why this is a bad idea.

    Headset myth #6
Bluetooth desk phones work fine with Airpods

Headset fact: Untrue, unless you want limited range, zero background noise reduction, less than adequate battery,  and no remote call  answering. Because if you're fine with those things, then Airpods would be perfect for you. For everyone  else, simply don't do it.

    Headset myth #7
All wireless headsets should come with remote call answering

Headset fact:  Here's a few reasons why that's not true. First, not everyone wants to answer calls when they step away from their desk.  It makes headsets more expensive, and matching remote call answering devices isn't simple which makes this impractical.

    Jabra Evolve2 65 - 8 Reasons To Consider it

    Jabra Evolve2 65 - 8 Reasons To Consider it

In this episode of the Headset Advisor  Tech Review Podcast, you'll find out about 8 reasons why the Jabra Evolve2 65 is a very good headset to consider.

The Evolve2 65 is a double ear headset designed for use with computers, and mobile  devices. And these days, that means a lot  of people because computer based voice and video communications has become the new normal. So, have a listen, and see if you don't agree that the Evolve2 65 is a Bluetooth wireless headset that needs to be on your short list.

To get your best price, make  sure to use coupon code BLOG when checking out on  our website,  which is www.headsetadvisor.com.

This episode is narrated by Doug Merritt, Founder and CEO  of Headset Advisor.

There truly are no shortages of headsets to choose from. You have many different  brands, and choices within those brands. And, when you add all those choices up, it can be mind boggling. Especially if you're in the market for new headsets, and doing some good old fashioned online research.

This episode is about one of those headsets, from one manufacturer, specicially Jabra, and the Evolve2 65, and why you'd consider this model. So here are 8 things for you to ponder.

#1 Sound Quality. We all know that how you sound to others, and what they hear,  or don't hear in your background are two very important things. The Jabra Evolve2 65 does an excellent job at both of these things. So if you want to sound professional, consistently, and not have the noise going on around you heard by your callers, then this is a headset for you.

#2 Remote call answering. The Evolve2 65 is optimized for use with several UC platforms which among other things, gives you the ability to take and end a call when away from your desk. That feature sure beats missing important calls, and listening to all those voice messages. Not to mention returning all those phone calls, which by the way will probably land in their voicemail box as well.

#3 Battery Life. Hey, this is a wireless headset right? So, how long you can talk or listen is important. The good news is with this headset, you get a lot of talk time, and by a lot I mean 37 hours. Which by any headset standard, that's a chunky amount of talking, listening, and just carrying on. The battery recharges in a short 90 minutes, and you get 8 hours of battery life with the headset only being on the charger for 15 minutes.

#4 Ear speakers. The Evolve2 65 comes with 40mm leak tolerant ear speakers and a new chipset that enhances sound quality. Although these ear speakers may not challenge Bose anytime soon, for a business grade headset, they're awesome.

$5 Busy light.  Not all are created equal. Some can be seen from certain angles, but the ones on the Evolve2 65 can be seen from any angle. This means fewer interruptions, and better productivity.

#6 Passive noise cancellation. Though Active Noise Cancellation doesn't come with the Evolve2 65, it gives the next best thing; a unique design that's purpose built to reduce room noise.

    #7 UC/Teams variants.
If you use Micsosoft Teams  exclusively, pick  the Teams version. If you don't, then the UC model would  be best.  In either case, you have the choice. And with the Teams version you have several feature enhancements to make using it, very convenient.

#8 Software. The Evolve2 65 can be used in tandem with the Jabra Direct software for a multitude of things such as bug fixes,  firmware updates, feature modifications, customizations and more.

If you're in the market for headsets, and you need them to connect to computers and mobile devices, this is a headset you really need to consider.

Jabra Evolve2 65 sound quality review

In this episode, you'll find out how the Jabra Evolve2 65 sounds. This  podcast includes comments on how the microphone  sounds, how well it does to reduce background noise,  and whether or not  the ear  speakers sound good when listening to music, podcasts, movies, or video calls.

So make sure to have a listen so you can get some good information on this  subject that's  based on  the results of multiple sound tests.

This episode is narrated by the Founder, and CEO of Headset Advisor, Doug Merritt

Anyone who uses a headset for business knows that sounding good is very important. Some might even go so far as to say that it's the most important feature on a headset. One thing for sure is when you're on important business calls, you need to sound good, and you don't want your callers to hear all that noise going on around you. That noise could be your coworkers giving each other high fives, or it could be your four legged friend greeting the UPS driver if you happen to work from  home. In any case, sound quality is exceptionally important when using a headset for business.

In this episode, I'll provide you with my thoughts on how the  Jabra Evolve2 65  sounds. Jabra, as you know, is one of the premier headset providers, and has been for decades. Recently, Jabra introduced a next generation family of headsets in the Evolve2 65, 75, and 85. So let's take a look at the 65, and find out how well it performs starting with microphone sound quality.

The sound of your voice when using the Evolve2 65, is excellent. We test a lot of headsets, and this one has a very nice, rich tone which you don't typically get in business headsets. For those that are listening to you talk, they'll hear you in a loud and clear, as well as rich tone which is great.

As for the Evolve2 65, and noise cancellation, well, that's a different matter. I listened to several noise tests where it was put up against the sounds of a typical office, dogs barking, and even the sound of a loud blender just a couple feet away.  At times it seemed to dampen the  noise pretty well, and other times, not so much. That left me feeling somewhere in the middle between feeling it was pretty good,  and not so good. I came to the conclusion that it's good enough' not great, not bad, just somewhere in the middle. I've certainly heard microphones that did a better job at removing noise, but for sure, this  one is good enough to use in business.

As for the ear speakers, Jabra did an amazing job with those. The sound you get out of the ear  speakers is pretty impressive really. And no, I'm  not suggesting that these ear speakers are in the same league as, say, Bose or Sony headphones. But what I am saying is for a business caliber headset, these ear speakers rock.

If this sounds like a headset you'd  like to consider, make  sure to use coupon code BLOG when shopping on our website. To go straight to the Evolve2 65, go here.

If you'd like to lower your price even further, then why not trade-in those old headsets you have gathering dust in your storeroom. They could be worth cash or credit when you trade them in.

Lastly, we have a unique monthly headset lease program that's very flexible and affordable that includes the headset accessories, and a warranty that never expires.  This is great if you need some new headsets, but the budget is tight.

3 Must Have Features On Your Next Wireless Headset

3 Must Have Features On Your Next Wireless Headset

In today's episode you'll find out about three must have features in the next wireless headsets you purchase. You'll find out what these three technology features are, what they do, and how you can benefit from them. So make sure  to listen, even if you just tuck this information away for use another day.

This episode is narrated by Doug Merritt,  Founder and CEO of Headset  Advisor.

Headsets, over the years have really changed.  Years ago they were much simpler,  and the choices you had were very limited. Even the technology has evolved over the years as well.

With the increased use of computers for voice and video communications, headsets have become highly important tools for everyday use. And the new headsets being used today incorporate some of  the latest technologies in order to enhance sound quality, minimize distractions, and enhance overall  productivity.

In this episode  I'll talk about three of those technologies so you can be aware of them, and use this information the next time  you're looking for new headsets for yourself, or your team. And with that in mind, let's find out about these three technology features.

Feature #1. Active Noise Cancellation, or ANC for short. ANC is a feature that's designed to  keep you focused  on your  work,  by not being distracted by the noise  going on around you. ANC is an electronic feature that helps to surpress noise so you, the person  wearing the headset doesn'thear it.

Feature #2. Transparency mode. A common  problem that  replicates itself  up  to 2400 times a year is the need to take  off a headset to have a face-to-face conversation, and then putting it back  on to resume what you were doing. Transparency mode allows you to keep the headset on, but still have a face-to-face conversation with your coworkers. This is a feature you can activate, or deactivate, and it can go by different names such as Aware+, or HearThrough for example.

Feature  #3. Ring detection, and remote call answering. This  is productivity feature that allows you to step away from your desk, but still know when you have an incoming call. Once you're alerted (through a beep tone  in  the headset earpiece), you can press the headset call control button to take the call, and a second time to end  it. This feature makes you very accessible to your callers, reduces the amount of voice  messages you need to listen to, and dramatically cuts down the number of calls to return.

So the next time you find yourself in the market for new wireless headsets, keep these three technology features  in mind before making that final  decision. If  you do, you'll be treated to some features that can make a world of difference in convenience, and your productivity.

Jabra Talk 65 Vs Blueparrott M300-XT Which Came Out On Top?

Jabra Talk 65 Vs Blueparrott M300-XT Which Came Out On Top?

In this episode you'll learn about these two, near identical Bluetooth headsets, and how they're similar, and what features differentiates them.

You'll find out how much talk time you can expect, as well as how much wireless talk range, as well as how they sound, how much noise they reduce, and of course, how much they cost. So make sure to listen so you get all the details, and I have to say, some of what you'll hear might just surprise you, just like I was surprised.

This episode is narrated by Doug Merritt,  Founder, and CEO of Headset Advisor.

In most cases, when you compare headsets, there's always a difference. The differences can be glaring, or they can be less so. But in about all cases, you'd never think that the two were the same because they either look much different, or they have a lot of technical differences.

In today's episode, I'll be talking about two Bluetooth headsets that could  just about pass as twins. That is, if headsets could indeed be classified that way. But if so, these two come about as close as possible to being the same.  I'm referring to:

    • The Jabra Talk 65 Bluetooth on-ear wireless headset, and
    • The BlueParrott M300-XT Bluetooth on-ear wireless headset

These headsets share a number of features that make them more alike than different, and in this episode I'll provide you with the details. So, let's get started!

Right out of the gate, placing these headsets side-by-side makes it hard to tell one from  the other. They pretty much look the same. And, they weigh the same too at 0.7 ounces.

But, the similarities don't stop there because besides the physical similarities, and weight, they also give you the exact same amount of talk time at 14 hours. Besides that being coincidental, it's also impressive. There's not a lot of space to squeeze in a battery that's capable of pouring out that much power, but both do. Most on-ear Bluetooth headsets will give you far less talk time, typically in the 7 hour range. So, with that in mind, you can appreciate this.

Even the wireless range is the same at 300 feet. Again, this is impressive because most Bluetooth headsets are rated up to 100 feet, with some giving you even  less. So, for both of these headsets to give you that much talk range, it's pretty amazing really.

The Talk 65 can't be used with the Jabra Plus software for firmware updates, and other customizations, but that isn't the case with the BlueParrott M300-XT. In this way, these headsets are different. You can use the BlueParrott with the available software for customization and firmware updates.

The BlueParrott M300-XT also has a PTT (push to talk) feature included that allows you to communicate with colleagues at the press of a button, without the need to access the phone manually. You won't find this on the Talk 65.

Sound quality edge, in my view, goes to the Talk 65. Both sound good, and reduce noise well, but to my ear, the Talk 65 sounded a little better especially when background noise was present.

Both headsets are professional, and both come with a 1-year warranty, and they both cost the same too at $99.99.

Today, there's no shortage of Bluetooth headsets. Just do a quick Google search and you'll be flooded with makes, models and places you can go to get more information. But, with all those choices, some, as you'd imagine, aren't your best choice. This could be because they don't have the features, sound quality, comfort or reliability you want and need.

In this episode, I'll introduce you to one model that would easily meet the needs of many people who spend  time working, and communicating using a computer, or a mobile device. This is the Jabra Evolve2 65, which is a second generation  Evolve headset.

The Evolve line of wireless headsets have enjoyed a lot of acceptance over the years for a lot of good reasons. They're comfortable, reliable, and they sound professional.  Jabra, with the new  Evolve2 line, upped their game, and I have to say, they did a great job.

The Evolve2 65 looks fantastic. I has a very modern, contemporary look, but looks aside, this headset is all business.

It has a 3 microphone array that's designed to give you professional sound, and noise reduction to keep your calls sounding clear, without distracting background noises. And, in our tests, this headset passed with flying colors. Not all headsets we've tested can say the same thing.

The Evolve2 65 comes with a USB Adapter in either the A or C configuration so it's compatible with either port you use. Having this USB Adapter gives you compatibility with the leading UC platforms such as Microsoft Teams, RingCentral, Zoom, Dialpad, 8X8 and more. You may even get a more reliable connection, better sound quality, and even longer wireless range over using Bluetooth.

It's light and comfortable, with it weighing 6.2 ounces, which makes it on the lighter side of headset weight. Not the lightest, but light. The memory foam ear cushions, and silicone padded headband add to the comfort of this headset.

You get a lot of talk and listening time too:

    • 37 hours of listening time
    • 35 hours of talk time if the busy light is off (24 if the light is on)

Here's the time required to recharge the battery:

    • 37 hours of battery life in 90 minutes
    • 8 hours of battery life in 15 minutes
    • 40% charge in 30 minutes, and 80% charge in 60 minutes

Best of all, you can continue using the headset even when the battery is being recharged.

The wireless range is typical  to most Bluetooth headsets at a rating up to 100 feet (30 meters). But, real world range would be closer to 50 feet.

As for cost, this is a Bluetooth headset that's priced around $200 - $250.00, which is fair given the quality, comfort and sound quality.

I like this headset, and I highly recommend it.

    If you want to learn about the Engage 55, make sure to listen to this Podcast. You'll learn serveral things about this new headset including;

    • The available variants
    • How much talk time you get
    • How good the microphone sounds
    • How it does in removing unwanted background noise
    • How much the different models cost
    • How you can get a better price

Jabra doesn't have a shortage of headset options for you to choose from, so is the Engage 55 series right for you? I say series because there are different versions of this headset available, and whether it's right for you or not really comes down to your needs.

Do you need a wireless headset to connect to your computer and mobile devices? Well, if you answered yes, then the Engage 55 isn't the headset for you. That's because the Engage 55 connects to your computer, and not to mobile devices, like your smartphone, or tablet for example.  The Engage 55 operates off of DECT technology, not Bluetooth.  And because of that, it can't be used with mobile devices.

    The Jabra Engage 55 comes in three different variants;

    1. Mono - This is worn over the head, and covers one ear. Some prefer this wearing style because it allows them to hear what's going on around them.
    2. Duo - This is a popular choice among headset wearers worldwide. Having an ear speaker for both ears gives the advantage of more sound, stereo sound, and better work concentration.
    3. Convertible - This too is a popular choice because it comes with different wearing options, all included. This means you can wear the headset over your ear one day, and over the head the next for example.  You're not limited to only one wearing style.

No matter which version you might select, you can be sure you'll have a comfortable wearing experience. That's because Jabra designed these headsets to be lightweight and comfortable. Jabra even designed the headband with what they call "low clamping force" which is designed for a more comfortable fit, and helps to keep heat down too.

You can also choose from the standard UC or Microsoft Teams version. So, depending on whether you use Microsoft Teams exclusively, or a mix of different applications, you'll have a version that's right for you.

The Jabra Engage 55 comes with wideband audio which is designed to give you richer sound compared to the normal narrow band audio. Wideband audio will, however, consume more battery power which shortens the amount of battery life you get when this feature is engaged.

You might be wondering about sound quality because it's important. You want your callers to hear you loud and clear, and not the sound going on around you. You also need to hear your callers clearly as well. So how does the Engage 55 do? Pretty well really. It provides a clear, professional sound, and it maintains that sound quality even when working to reduce unwanted background noise. This is something that a lot of headsets can't do.

Cost is always a topic of interest to most people. So how much does the Jabra Engage 55 cost? Well, here's some information  on pricing:

    • Engage 55 convertible model - $307.00
    • Engage 55 mono model - From $307.00
    • Engage 55 duo model - From $329.00

Jabra Talk 65 Bluetooth Wireless Headset Review

Jabra Talk 65 Bluetooth Wireless Headset Review

If you'd like to check out some details on this new wireless headset, here's a link to the product page  on  our website;  https://headsetadvisor.com/products/jabra-talk-65-premium-discreet-bluetooth-headset

Jabra recently came out with a new, on-ear Bluetooth headset that's designed to be used with your computer, and mobile devices. It connects to two devices simultaneously for seamless switching.

In this blog, I’ll be talking about this new headset that Jabra calls the Talk 65. You’ll learn about:

    • Whether or not it  provides good voice sound quality
    • Reduces, or eliminates your unwanted  background noise
    • How much battery life it offers
    • The wireless talk range you can expect
    • The things that help to make this  headset  comfortable
    • And finally, the thing everyone wants to know, which is, how much it costs.

So, does this new Jabra Talk 65 provide good voice quality? Well, the short answer is yes, it sure does. The Talk 65 has two noise canceling microphones that work in tandem to give you sound that’s unquestionably professional. And the noise reduction capability is far better than what you typically get from headsets that cost far more than this one does.

We tested the Talk 65 against annoying sounds that included typical office  noise, dogs barking, outdoor noise like cars and wind. And finally, we wrapped things up by seeing how it did against our Vitamix blender test. Truthfully, it did a superb job.

The wireless range was surprising as well. Most Bluetooth headsets are designed to provide up to 100 feet of wireless range, with the real range being something less than that. The Jabra Talk 65 gives you up to 300 feet. That’s unusual in Bluetooth headsets, which makes this headset far more versatile over other options.

The Jabra Talk 65 can be used with computers, and mobile devices. However, because this headset doesn’t come with a USB Adapter, or dongle, it can’t provide you with remote call answering. Also, the computer you connect it to must be Bluetooth enabled. There are advantages in having a USB Adapter that go beyond remote call answering. Hopefully, a future version of this headset will come with one.

In terms of weight, the Talk 65 weighs a mere 0.7 ounces. That’s about equivalent to 4 sheets of copy paper. In other words, not much. So it’s light enough to wear for short bursts of time, or long stretches.

The Talk 65 comes with different sizes of ear gels which adds to the comfort. Simply select the size that’s most comfortable for you, twist it on, and you’re ready to go. And finally, the overall design of this headset lends itself to comfort. It’s lightweight, well designed, and rests comfortably on the ear.

Don’t plan on going for a swim if you’re wearing the Talk 65 because it’s not waterproof. It comes with an IP65 water and dust resistant rating, so something to keep in mind.

Lastly, how much does the Talk 65 cost? The short answer is $99.99, which I think is a very fair and reasonable price for everything that it offers. But if you want a lower price, make sure to use coupon code BLOG when checking out on our website, which is www.headsetadvisor.com
