Jabra Engage 40 - New Era Of Call Center Headsets

Jabra Engage 40 - New Era Of Call Center Headsets

In this episode you'll find out about a new wired USB headset by Jabra. You'll find out what makes this headset among the very best for those who rely on a headset throughout the workday.

Like many things, not all headsets are the same. In this episode you'll learn what makes this new headset worth your time to check out. You'll also find out how you can save some serious money if you plan on buying one.

This episode is narrated by Doug Merritt, Founder and CEO of Headset Advisor.

If you spend a large amount of  time on the phone and you use a headset,  you can appreciate a headset that's lightweight and comfortable, and one that gives you superb sound quality.

Not all headsets available today can deliver in these categories:

    • Comfort
    • Great voice audio quality
    • Excellent background noise reduction
    • Great voice quality, when background noise is present

When you read descriptive information about different headsets, you'll typically come across something that states how good the headset sounds, and it's ability to remove noise. But, just because that's  something that's said, that doesn't mean it's entirely true. After all, sound quality is a bit subjective, though the degree to which a headset can remove background noise is pretty easy to determine.

    The new Jabra Engage 40 is a wired, USB headset that comes in these configurations;

    - single ear, without an inline controller
    - single ear, with a controller
    - double ear without controller
    - double ear with an inline controller

You can also get these headsets that are optimized for Microsoft Teams, or the standard UC version.

So what makes the new Jabra Engage 40 a must have headset?

    To me, it's two key things;

    1.  Weight
    2.  Sound quality & noise reduction

This thing weighs only 2 ounces in the mono configuration, the same as two standard sized envelopes. So if you can imagine the weight of two of these envelopes resting on the  top of your head, you'll get a sense of appreciation of just how light this headset is.

So why does that matter?  Well, if you wear a headset all day, such as an Agent in a busy Contact Center, then how much a headset weighs is very important.  So my main point number one is weight, because this thing is light.

The second point is sound quality. The Jabra Engage 40 sounds fantastic. It clearly sounds every bit as good than any business grade headset, at any price point.  And that's  saying something really.

Next is noise reduction. We put it up against office sounds, dogs barking, and our signature blender test. It  passed with flying colors in all  of these tests. It did a superb job at removing those noises. So, if you work from home, or in a busy office with noisy coworkers, then the Engage 40 would be a great headset for you  to consider if you don't want your callers hearing all the noise around you.

Your voice quality remains solid even when noise is present. That's somethng many headsets can't make claim to. Another example of superior audio with the Engage 40.

In terms of pricing, it varies by model from $179.00, to $239.00. But, if you want a better price, make sure to use coupon code  BLOG when checking out on our website which is www.headsetadvisor.com.

You can save more if you trade in your old headsets.

We also offer a very affordable monthly headset lease program with headsets starting at just $2.00 per month, and it includes replacement accessories, and a warranty that doesn't expire.

    Jabra Evolve2 65 Vs Evolve2 75 Comparison

    Jabra Evolve2 65 Vs Evolve2 75 Comparison

Have a listen to this Podcast to learn about how two highly popular Jabra Bluetooth headsets compare; the Jabra Evolve2 65 vs. the Evolve2 75.

There are differences that go beyond the price, so have a listen to find out what they have in common, and what  makes them different.

And if you listen to the entire episode, you'll get some tips on how you can save money when purchasing either, or both of these models. Even if your budget is tight, I let you know of a way that can allow you to provide new headsets to your team for far less than you can imagine.

This episode is narrated by Doug Merritt, Founder and CEO of Headset Advisor.

Bluetooth headsets are very popular in part due to the increased use of computers for carrying out our daily business communications.

We've all heard of applications like Microsoft Teams,  Zoom,  RingCentral, Cisco WebEx, Google Meet and the list  goes on. One thing in  common with all of these applications is headsets are typically used. So, when you want to communicate with coworkers or customers, having a great sounding, comfortable, reliable  headset is highly important. And that's where the Evolve2 65, and Evolve2 75 comes in.

Battery. Battery strength can be broken down into these categories; talk time, listening time and recharge time. So, let's take a quick look at that.

Evolve2 65 Listening time: Up to 37 hours
Evolve2 75 Listening time: Up to 36 hours (w/o ANC on) 33 hours if ANC is on

Evolve2 65 35 hours talk time (w/o busy light on), 24 if on
    Evolve2 75  24 hours (w/o busy light on), 18 if on

    To Recharge: Evolve2 65 takes 90 minutes. The Evolve2 75 takes 160 minutes

30 minutes on the charger gives the Evolve2 65 40% charge. After 35 minutes on the charger the Evolve2 75 gives you only 30%. After an hour on  the charger, the 65 gives you 80%, and after an hour and 10 minutes, the 75 gives you 60%. (Advantage Evolve2 65)

By the way, both headsets allow you to continue using them even when they're plugged in for recharging. This is something that you don't find on all headsets.

Microphones. The Evolve2 65 has three digital MEMS noise canceling mics, whereas the 75 has 8 (4 digital, 4 analog). Four of the mics are used for the Active Noise  Cancelation  feature, and HearThrough that's found on the Evolve2 75, but not on  the 65. The bottom line when it comes to mics though is sound quality; how they sound, and how well they reduce unwanted noise. Sound quality is subjective, but I prefer the sound and noise reduction on the Evolve2 65.

ANC/HearThrough. These are features found on the 75, and not on  the 65. Active noise  cancelation allows the person wearing the headset to not be distracted by background noise. ANC is an "anti-noise" feature that allows you to stay focused. HearThrough lets you keep the headset on when you want to have a face to face conversation. No need to take it off.

Speakers. Both headsets share the same 40mm speakers. For business grade headsets, they both sound very good. Not Bose or Sony level, but superb for a business oriented headset.

Wireless range. Both headsets are rated up to 30 meters/100 feet. Standard for Bluetooth headsetes these days.

Weight. The mono 65 is in the 3 ounce category, whereas the duo headsets (65 & 75) are in the 6. Standard weight for these kinds of headsets.

    Price. Evolve 2 65 mono: $263.00, duo: $274.00. Evolve2 75 duo:  $384.00
    2 year warranty

Use coupon code BLOG to get a better price.  Trade in old headsets to save even more. If the budget is tight, we have an affordable headset lease program starting at $2.00/mo. Questions: www.headsetadvisor.com

Jabra Engage Ai For Call Centers - Measure Tone Of Voice (& More) In Real Time

Jabra Engage Ai For Call Centers - Measure Tone Of Voice (& More) In Real Time

In this episode of the Headset Advisor Tech Review Podcast,  you'll find out about a brand new software applicatiion designed specifically for the contact center.

This  software is Ai based, and provides immediate Agent feedback on tone and other measurements to assist the Agent in providing optimum customer service. Supervisors and Managers will love this software too because it provides a lot of data ponts to help better manage Agents, and it even gives feedback on customer impressions.

This is a short Podcast, so make sure to listen to the entire episode so you don't miss any of the important details. This is software like you've not seen before, and could be a game changer for many who work, and manage in the Contact Center space.

This episode is narrated by the Founder, and CEO of Headset Advisor, Doug Merritt

Most of us have heard the saying; "it's not what you said, it's how you said it"

This saying refers to the tone of voice used when saying something. Depending on that tone, it could easily, and completely, change the message from what you might be wanting to convey. So the truth is, our tone really matters.

This new Jabra software, called Engage Ai, is software that monitors conversations for the tone being used. It also is able to monitor the pace of a call, its length, and it even tracks the frequency of interruptions.  All these things are designed to provide feedback to the Agent,  and to Management so that corrective action can be taken.

The Agent has a dashboard, and they can select their own Avatar. When on a call, the Agent will see their Avatar, and in the same area, the Agent will see their numeric score which is based on their tone of voice. An  unhappy looking Avatar for example, follows a low score. As the tone of voice improves, the facial expressions of the Avatar improves too.

The customer is also monitored for tone of voice which is a reaction to the kind of tone they're hearing from the Agent. Information on the customers experience is helpful to Management to see where training is required for example.

You can use this headset with most of the leading contact center, and UC platforms, and you can use it with any brand of wired or wireless headset. However, Jabra recommends using it with the Engage 40, and Engage 50 II models because they were designed and built for use with this software which means you'll get better data points when  using these models.

From a security perspective, it's important to note that this software only monitors tone  of voice, pace of calls, pauses and interruptions, and it's encrypted end to end. Finally, the Engage Ai software is GDPR compliant.

So if you're tired of not getting your callers filling out the end of call surveys, why not let the Engage Ai software collect that information for you automatically? And to see real time numbers on Agent performance which is reflective of the manner they're communicating with customers, then look no further than the new Jabra Engage  Ai sentiment analysis software.

    Jabra Evolve2 65 Vs. Evolve 75 Vs. Evolve2 85

    Jabra Evolve2 65 Vs. Evolve 75 Vs. Evolve2 85

Listen to this episode of the Headset Advisor  Tech Review Podcast to find out how three highly popular Jabra headsets compare; the Jabra Evolve2 65, the tried and true Evolve 75, and the beefy Jabra Evolve2 85.  Find  out what they have in  common, and what makes them different.

Make sure to use coupon code BLOG when shopping on our website which is www.headsetadvisor.com

This episode is narrated by Doug Merritt, Founder and CEO of Headset Advisor.

If you use headsets, or if you're someone who's responsible for buying them, then you probably know the Jabra name. Jabra headsets are used around the world, and the brand has a loyal following.

So how do these three headsets compare? Let's take a quick look.

Wireless range. All three models are rated up to 100 feet. This is pretty standard among Bluetooth headsets.

Battery life. The Evolve2 65, and 85 models offer uup to 37 hours of battery life, whereas the Evolve 75 gives you up to 18.  No doubt the newer models are benefiting from advances in battery technology.

Weight. The Evolve2 65 weighs 6.2 ounces as does the Evolve 75. But, the Evolve2 85 hasn't been dieting lately because it tips the scales at 10 ounces. That's considered heavy by headset standards. Though advances in headset design does allow heavier headsets to feel lighter.

Busy light. All three have busy lights, but the 65, and 85 models have lights that can be seen from any viewing angle. That gives them an advantage of the 75.

Ear speakers. All three use 40mm ear speakers. This could mean they all sound pretty much the same, and they might. But, sound quality is subjective so when listening to all three you could find that you have a preference for one over the others.

Active Noise Cancellation. This is a relatively new business headset feature, and it's  designed to give the headset wearer the ability to reduce ambient room noise. The Evolve2 65 doesn't have this feature, though the Evolve 75, and Evolve2 85 do. The Evolve2 75 is the first model up the line that offers it.

Bluetooth version. The Evolve 75 uses Bluetooth version 4.2, whereas the Evolve2 65 and 85 use version 5.0. 5.0 is designed to provide faster data transmission speeds, longer wireless range, and lower power consumption.

Microphone. The Evolve2 65 uses a 3 MEMS mic array that's noise canceling. The Evolve 75 uses a noise canceling uni-directional mic, and the Evolve2 85 uses a whopping 10 MEMS  digital noise canceling mic array. And while on that particular mic, it can be swung upwards, and out of site where it stores away in the body of the ear speaker housing. When you pull it down, it unmutes.

    Connectivity.
All three connect to computers and mobile devices, and they all come with USB adapters (dongles), and allow for connecting up to 8 devices.

Color choice. The Evolve2 65, and the Evolve2 85 allow you to choose between black, and beigs where the Evolve 75 comes in one color only, black. So, if you want to express your individuality or non comformist tendencies, then the 65 or 85 could be a great choice.

Jabra Engage + Software - Find Out About This Very Cool Software Here!

Jabra Engage + Software - Find Out About This Very Cool Software Here!

In this episode of the Headset Advisor Tech Review Podcast, you'll find out about some brand new  software that was recently released by Jabra. I'm referring to the new Engage + software for headset users, and headset environments.

I don't want you thinking that this software is just like all  the others, because its not. It actually focuses on different things compared to your typical headset software application. So have a listen if you'd like to find out what this  software is all about, and what it can do for you.

If you decide to purchase on our website, which is www.headsetadvisor.com make sure to use  coupon code  BLOG to get a nice discount on your order. Trade in your old headsets to save even more.

This episode is narrated by Doug Merritt, Founder and CEO of Headset Advisor.

Headset software is something relatively new for use with managing business headsets. And, most software that's available is designed to do things like perform firmware updates, or for making adjustments to headsets for things like sidetone, audio preferences, ringer details and more.

And though the software in this Podcast is about headsets, it really isn't designed to do the things common to other headset software programs. Instead, this software deals with environmental things, as well as Call Center Agent responses to callers among other things.

I'm referring to the new Jabra Engage + software.

If you manage a group that spends a lot of  time on the phone, such as in a Contact Center, then this is some software that you really need to know about. Here's what you need to know.

First, you need to use one of these models of headsets:

    1. Jabra Engage 50 II
    2. Jabra Engage 40

Why? Because these are the only headsets currently that contain firmware embedded into the microphone boom  that interacts with the software. I'm sure other models will become available  soon.

Secondly, you need to make sure that you're allowed to download software, because some organizations don't allow it. So, check with your IT Department to make sure it's allowable.

Here's a quick snapshot of what this software does:

    1. Lets you know when your microphone boom is incorrectly postioned/located. This is to help avoid having poor audio quality.

    2. You can set the decibel level for your work environment, and when noise exceeds that, you'll  get an alert about noise reaching that level. You can then decide the best way to handle that.

    3. The software can also keep track of how often you interrupt your callers. The truth is, callers don't like to be interrupted. It can be frustrating, and make them feel like what they have to say is unimportant. Plus, the Agent may miss out on important information.

    4. The Engage + software even tracks how long you're silent, and how often. Most of us have had the experience of being on a call,  and  the person we're  talking to goes silent for an awkward amount of time that prompts us to ask if they're still on the line.

    5. If you try talking while your microphone is muted, you'll get notified right away.  No more giving your best presentation segment only to find out that nobody heard you due to your mic being muted.

These are only some of what  this new software can do. To  me,  if you're a Manager of a team who spends their day talking to customers, this is software that can really make a difference. It's free to download, and it has some features that can help to give your customers a better call experience, and help to make your Agents more productive.

What You Risk By Using A Bad Sounding Headset On Your Business Calls

What You Risk By Using A Bad Sounding Headset On Your Business Calls

In this episode you'll find  out what the pitfalls are when you use a headset with poor sound quality on your business calls. If that's what you're using, you're risking more than you think. But the good news is there are some excellent solutions, and in this episode, I'll share two headsets that can make you sound like a Rock God, and slays background noise like Slash himself.

Use coupon code BLOG to get a great deal on a new headset when shopping on our website which is www.headsetadvisor.com

If you're talking with Grandma, it doesn't dip into your income if you're using a headset that sounds bad. But, can you say the same thing if you're using that same headset for your business calls? I'd argue that you have far more risk if you do.

First, when you sound bad, you can sound bad in a number of ways

    • You can sound like you're a hundred miles away.
    • You might sound like you're talking from a Cave in Crete
    • You might be cutting in, and cutting out
    • You might have so much static that your callers think they're hearing morse code.

However bad sound quality is defined, the one thing all those differing definitiions have in common is customers don't like it.  They don't like it when they can't hear you. They don't like it when you sound is echoy. They don't like it when they only hear bits of your conversation, and for sure they don't  want to hear all that noise going on around you.

So if you want to get a clear message across to those you're  talking to, you're putting that objective at risk when you use a poor sounding headset. Your callers might formulate a poor opinion of you based on the impression you're giving them by using bad equipment.

These days nobody can really come up with a  good reason why they don't use a good sounding, high quality headset with a professional sounding microphone. There are many that do a great job, and we even offer a monthly program with headsets that start at just $2.00 per  month. Professional  sounding headsets have never been more affordable  as they are today.

Give your customers a better sounding call experience because they deserve that, and the truth is, so do you.

Two excellent headsets that will make you sound  great, and give your callers a noise free call are:

    1. The Orosound Tilde Pro
    2. The Jabra Engage 50 II

We've tested both of  these headsets, and both sound excellent, and they both remove unwanted background noise extremely well.

If you'd like to see our reviews and sound tests, just head over to our Headset Advisor  Youtube channel, and search for Orosound Tilde  Pro, and Jabra Engage 50 II.

In the meantime, if we can answer any questions or assist you in any way, make  sure to reach out to us at Headset Advisor. You can call, email,  text or chat live with us.

And again, make sure to use coupon code BLOG for a discount on your order. Trade in old headsets to save even more.

And  if the budget's tight, we do have a monthly headset lease program that can make acquiring new headsets extremely affordable.

Wireless Headset Remote Call Answering Explained

Wireless Headset Remote Call Answering Explained

In this episode of the Headset Advisor Tech Review Podcast, you'll  learn a highly popular feature among wireless headset users, called remote call  answering.

You'll not only find out what it is, but the two primary devices that help to make that feature come  to life, and what the benefits are in using it. And make sure  to listen  to the entire Podcast, because I'll share two tips that can help save you a boatload of money on any new headsets you  might want to buy.

This episode is narrated by the Founder, and CEO of Headset  Advisor, Doug Merritt.

We all want to be efficient when we're at work, and we all want to get as much done as possible. Well, if you use a headset, and you're not using a feature called  remote call answering,  then you're not working as efficiently, and  productively as you could be.

For those who aren't familiar with this term, and that headset feature, I'll give a quick overview.

Remote call answering is an optional feature  on many wireless headsets that allow you to asnswer and end calls when you're away from your desk. And as simple as that might sound, there's actually some details about it that you should know about.

First, there are two types of devices that allow you to have this feature when using a wireless headset. These are:

    1. A Handset Lifter Accessory
    2. An Electronic Hookswtich Cable, or EHS for short.

So, what are these things, and how are they different?

Handset Lifter. The handset lifter accessory is an electro-mechanical devices that adheres to  the surface of your desk phone, just beneath the handset. By being placed there, it's perfectly positioned to rest over the phone speaker, and it also is perfectly placed so that it can raise the handset out of the cradle, which it does.

When an incoming call comes  in, the phone will ring, and when it does, the small sensor on the bottom of the lifter senses the ringer sound vibrations. Once detected, the lifter passed you a quiet ring tone into your headset earpiece to alert you of the incoming call.

This is where the remote call answering takes over. Now that you're aware of the  incoming call, you just press the answer/end button on the headset to take the call. This button is sometimmes called the call control button. When the call is complete, press the button a second time to end it.

    Electronic Hookswtich Cable.
This cable performs the exact same function as the handset lifter with one large exception. The EHS cable doesn't require the physical lifting of the handset because everything is done electronically. And because of this device being electronic, you must properly match the right EHS cable to the right phone, and headset make and model. If you get that wrong, it won't work.

The key benefits of using a handset lifter or EHS cable include:

    • You avoid missing calls
    • You'll have far fewer voice messages to listen to
    • You won't have many phone calls to return
    • Your customers will be happy because they can reach you much easier, and more readily.
    • You'll improve your work performance, and if that weren't enough, this is just a cool feature.

Plantronics Hub vs Poly Lens Headset & Device Software

Headsets today, simply aren't the headsets of yesterday. Not only are they superior in just about every way, but you now have software to help make them even better.

In this episode, I'll talk about two of the many software programs that are available. In particular, I'll  discuss the Plantronics HUB,  and the Poly LENS. But first, you might wonder why the name differences, you know, Plantronics and Poly. Well, they're two of the same.

Not long ago, Plantronics acquired Polycom, which is a company well known for providing high quality audio and video equipment. The new company that emerged not only had an expanded product line, but also a new name; Poly.  So, when you hear this name, you'll understand where it comes from.

The  Plantronics HUB preceeded the LENS software. HUB is designed for use with legacy headsets such as the Savi line, and the CS500 series  for example. Further, the HUB software is limited to use with headsets only. In other words, no other audio /  video related devices are compatible.

With HUB you can perform firmware updates, customize ringtones, configure presence, choose a language for voice prompts, adjust device settings, receive visual mute and battery status, adjust HD audio and have easy access to pairing.

LENS, by comparison, is designed for more current models  of  devices,  and LENS also allows you to use it with headsets, speakerphones, iP phones and video conferencing systems.

LENS is quite a bit different from HUB in that you can get automated device update notices so you'll  know when an update is availabe. You can personalize your headset through settings, hear soundscape audio  to help keep you distraction free and focused.

You also get a global view of  all  devices for simplified inventory control, device health and adoption,  remote troubleshooting and updates, and LENS even reminds you when to take breaks, look away from your monitor and even rehydrate.

Mobile users also have a feature called Find MyDevice that always lets you know where it is.

So, to summarize, if you use legacy Plantronics headsets such as the Savi or CS500 series, you'll  want to use the HUB software. But, if you use more current headset models, as well  as some combination of speakerphones, Poly iP phones or video conferencing equipment, then LENS is your best bet.

3 Must Have Features On Your Next Wireless Headset

This episode is narrated by Doug Merritt,  Founder and CEO of Headset  Advisor.

Headsets, over the years have really changed.  Years ago they were much simpler,  and the choices you had were very limited. Even the technology has evolved over the years as well.

With the increased use of computers for voice and video communications, headsets have become highly important tools for everyday use. And the new headsets being used today incorporate some of  the latest technologies in order to enhance sound quality, minimize distractions, and enhance overall  productivity.

In this episode  I'll talk about three of those technologies so you can be aware of them, and use this information the next time  you're looking for new headsets for yourself, or your team. And with that in mind, let's find out about these three technology features.

Feature #1. Active Noise Cancellation, or ANC for short. ANC is a feature that's designed to  keep you focused  on your  work,  by not being distracted by the noise  going on around you. ANC is an electronic feature that helps to surpress noise so you, the person  wearing the headset doesn'thear it.

Feature #2. Transparency mode. A common  problem that  replicates itself  up  to 2400 times a year is the need to take  off a headset to have a face-to-face conversation, and then putting it back  on to resume what you were doing. Transparency mode allows you to keep the headset on, but still have a face-to-face conversation with your coworkers. This is a feature you can activate, or deactivate, and it can go by different names such as Aware+, or HearThrough for example.

Feature  #3. Ring detection, and remote call answering. This  is productivity feature that allows you to step away from your desk, but still know when you have an incoming call. Once you're alerted (through a beep tone  in  the headset earpiece), you can press the headset call control button to take the call, and a second time to end  it. This feature makes you very accessible to your callers, reduces the amount of voice  messages you need to listen to, and dramatically cuts down the number of calls to return.

So the next time you find yourself in the market for new wireless headsets, keep these three technology features  in mind before making that final  decision. If  you do, you'll be treated to some features that can make a world of difference in convenience, and your productivity.

    Do you:

In this episode of the Headset Advisor Podcast, you'll learn about the Jabra Engage 50 premium headsets designed for the busy professional.

Here are some of the things you'll find out about the Engage 50:

    • What the Jabra Engage 50 connects to, and how
    • What UC Applications it's compatible with
    • The things you can adjust on this headset through the Jabra Direct Software
    • The technology it uses to keep your hearing protected
    • How your voice will sound when talking on it
    • And how it performed in our background noise tests
    • Finally, how much the mono, and duo models cost, and how you can get a better price.

Every now and then a headset comes out that makes you stop and take notice. It could  be due to some unusual  features, or maybe the way it looks or sounds. The Jabra Engage 50 happens to be one of those examples. This is a premium headset that comes with premium features. Jabra Engineers spent 54,280 hours developing this headset, not countiing the time spent testing it. When it was done, Jabra received 3 patents based on the work that went into it.

The Jabra Engage 50 comes with a noise canceling 3 microphone array that delivers an awesome sound for anyone who's talking on it. Some headsets sound flat, tinny or faint. You won't have that experience with the Engage 50 because these microphones are dialed in, and well tuned. But the microphones don't end there. We threw several challenging noise tests at it, and it not only excelled at noise reduction, but the voice audio quality was maintained at the same time; something not all headsets can accomplish.

Your hearing is protected through Jabra's use of several hearing protection technologies, such as; IntelliTone, SafeTone, PeakStop and Acoustic Shock Protection. All work in tandem to keep your hearing protected.

The Engage 50 comes standard with super wideband audio to give you a great listening experience, whether on  calls, or listening to music. Conversations are very rich, and lifelike.

In terms of compatibility, and optimization, the Jabra  Engage 50 integrates well with Microsoft  Teams,  Skype  for Business, and Zoom. This allows you to answer and end calls from  the headset, and  not just from the computer, and you status of your presence as well.

The Engage 50 is well-built because it was constructed using premium, lightweight, and durable materials. The mono version weighs only 2.1 ounces, and the duo model weighs 3.3. This makes these headsets among the lightest headsets we've ever tested. And the truth is, the weight of a headset matters when it comes to comfort, and all day wearing.

I would have  liked to see Active Noise  Cancelation, and a padded headband, but short of that, this is an awesome fitting, feeling and sounding headset that should meet the approval of even the most discriminating headset aficionado.

So how much does it cost?  Mono runs $220.00, and the duo model runs $244.00. Premium pricing for a premium headset. You get hearing  protection, premium audio, superior voice quality, and noise reduction, all day comfort and integration to Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business, and  Zoom. The Engage 50 represents an investment in your people; their comfort, protection, productivity and more.

Jabra Engage 55 Review - Good, Bad Or Ugly?

Jabra Engage 55 Review - Good, Bad Or Ugly?

If you'd like to  read more about the Jabra Engage 55 line of headsets, including pricing, here's a link for more information:  https://headsetadvisor.com/search?type=product&options%5Bprefix%5D=last&options%5Bunavailable_products%5D=show&q=Engage+55

    If you want to learn about the Engage 55, make sure to listen to this Podcast. You'll learn serveral things about this new headset including;

    • The available variants
    • How much talk time you get
    • How good the microphone sounds
    • How it does in removing unwanted background noise
    • How much the different models cost
    • How you can get a better price

Jabra doesn't have a shortage of headset options for you to choose from, so is the Engage 55 series right for you? I say series because there are different versions of this headset available, and whether it's right for you or not really comes down to your needs.

Do you need a wireless headset to connect to your computer and mobile devices? Well, if you answered yes, then the Engage 55 isn't the headset for you. That's because the Engage 55 connects to your computer, and not to mobile devices, like your smartphone, or tablet for example.  The Engage 55 operates off of DECT technology, not Bluetooth.  And because of that, it can't be used with mobile devices.

    The Jabra Engage 55 comes in three different variants;

    1. Mono - This is worn over the head, and covers one ear. Some prefer this wearing style because it allows them to hear what's going on around them.
    2. Duo - This is a popular choice among headset wearers worldwide. Having an ear speaker for both ears gives the advantage of more sound, stereo sound, and better work concentration.
    3. Convertible - This too is a popular choice because it comes with different wearing options, all included. This means you can wear the headset over your ear one day, and over the head the next for example.  You're not limited to only one wearing style.

No matter which version you might select, you can be sure you'll have a comfortable wearing experience. That's because Jabra designed these headsets to be lightweight and comfortable. Jabra even designed the headband with what they call "low clamping force" which is designed for a more comfortable fit, and helps to keep heat down too.

You can also choose from the standard UC or Microsoft Teams version. So, depending on whether you use Microsoft Teams exclusively, or a mix of different applications, you'll have a version that's right for you.

The Jabra Engage 55 comes with wideband audio which is designed to give you richer sound compared to the normal narrow band audio. Wideband audio will, however, consume more battery power which shortens the amount of battery life you get when this feature is engaged.

You might be wondering about sound quality because it's important. You want your callers to hear you loud and clear, and not the sound going on around you. You also need to hear your callers clearly as well. So how does the Engage 55 do? Pretty well really. It provides a clear, professional sound, and it maintains that sound quality even when working to reduce unwanted background noise. This is something that a lot of headsets can't do.

Cost is always a topic of interest to most people. So how much does the Jabra Engage 55 cost? Well, here's some information  on pricing:

    • Engage 55 convertible model - $307.00
    • Engage 55 mono model - From $307.00
    • Engage 55 duo model - From $329.00

Jabra Talk 65 Bluetooth Wireless Headset Review

Jabra Talk 65 Bluetooth Wireless Headset Review

If you'd like to check out some details on this new wireless headset, here's a link to the product page  on  our website;  https://headsetadvisor.com/products/jabra-talk-65-premium-discreet-bluetooth-headset

Jabra recently came out with a new, on-ear Bluetooth headset that's designed to be used with your computer, and mobile devices. It connects to two devices simultaneously for seamless switching.

In this blog, I’ll be talking about this new headset that Jabra calls the Talk 65. You’ll learn about:

    • Whether or not it  provides good voice sound quality
    • Reduces, or eliminates your unwanted  background noise
    • How much battery life it offers
    • The wireless talk range you can expect
    • The things that help to make this  headset  comfortable
    • And finally, the thing everyone wants to know, which is, how much it costs.

So, does this new Jabra Talk 65 provide good voice quality? Well, the short answer is yes, it sure does. The Talk 65 has two noise canceling microphones that work in tandem to give you sound that’s unquestionably professional. And the noise reduction capability is far better than what you typically get from headsets that cost far more than this one does.

We tested the Talk 65 against annoying sounds that included typical office  noise, dogs barking, outdoor noise like cars and wind. And finally, we wrapped things up by seeing how it did against our Vitamix blender test. Truthfully, it did a superb job.

The wireless range was surprising as well. Most Bluetooth headsets are designed to provide up to 100 feet of wireless range, with the real range being something less than that. The Jabra Talk 65 gives you up to 300 feet. That’s unusual in Bluetooth headsets, which makes this headset far more versatile over other options.

The Jabra Talk 65 can be used with computers, and mobile devices. However, because this headset doesn’t come with a USB Adapter, or dongle, it can’t provide you with remote call answering. Also, the computer you connect it to must be Bluetooth enabled. There are advantages in having a USB Adapter that go beyond remote call answering. Hopefully, a future version of this headset will come with one.

In terms of weight, the Talk 65 weighs a mere 0.7 ounces. That’s about equivalent to 4 sheets of copy paper. In other words, not much. So it’s light enough to wear for short bursts of time, or long stretches.

The Talk 65 comes with different sizes of ear gels which adds to the comfort. Simply select the size that’s most comfortable for you, twist it on, and you’re ready to go. And finally, the overall design of this headset lends itself to comfort. It’s lightweight, well designed, and rests comfortably on the ear.

Don’t plan on going for a swim if you’re wearing the Talk 65 because it’s not waterproof. It comes with an IP65 water and dust resistant rating, so something to keep in mind.

Lastly, how much does the Talk 65 cost? The short answer is $99.99, which I think is a very fair and reasonable price for everything that it offers. But if you want a lower price, make sure to use coupon code BLOG when checking out on our website, which is www.headsetadvisor.com

If you'd like to learn more about the Talk 65, make sure to listen to this Podcast where you’ll get more detailed information.

Audio narrated by Doug Merritt, CEO of Headset Advisor

When you listen, you'll find out all the details about this new portable speakerphone. Some of the details include:

    • How much talk time can you expect
    • How many people you can have on a call
    • How far  away from the speakerphone you can be and still have clear audio
    • How you can double the number of people you can have on a call
    • The three different ways you can connect to your devices when using the Speak 750
    • And what the key difference is between the Speak 750, and the former Speak 710

Anyone who conducts business calls, whether that's audio calls, or video, no doubt knows the name Jabra. Jabra is a company that's been producing high quality, professional grade audio and video gear for decades.  And their fan base isn't limited just to the U.S.A. They're a global brand, that enjoys a global following. And the Speak 750 is one of the newest members to the expanding Jabra family of technology products.

The Speak 750 is designed for anyone who works in an office, at home, or on the go, and needs to connect to a computer and/or mobile device. Whether your need is to communicate by voice, or by video, the Jabra Speak 750 is a great communication partner.

You have three different ways you can connect a Speak 750 to your preferred device. First, you can unwind the stowed USB cable found on the bottom of the Speak 750. Unwind it, plug it into your USB port, and you're ready to go.

You can also plug the Jabra Link 370 into the USB port for a wireless talk experience. The Link 370 comes pre-paired to the speakerphone, so it makes it easy to quickly be ready for a call.

The final way you can connect is via Bluetooth. Simply get your host device in the discover mode, get the Speak 750 into the pairing mode, and the connection is quick and easy.  So whether you want to connect to your mobile phone, a tablet, or even your Bluetooth enabled computer, the Jabra  Speak 750 is ready when you are.

You can use the Jabra Speak 750 by yourself,  or you can add an additional 5 people,  for a total of 6 attendees on your call. But if that's not enough, the Speak 750 is expandable. You can wirelessly connect a second Speak 750 to double your coverage area, as well as double how many people you can have on a  call. You have a full 13 feet between the two paired units too, which really widens your meeting coverage area.

One of the biggest differences between the Speak 750, and the Speak 710 is the audio characteristics. The Speak 750 comes with three audio enhancements:

    1. Full Duplex Audio. This allows you to have a natural conversation without the need for one party to finish talking before the other party can. Instead, you have the ability to barge in, just like you can do when speaking face to face.
    2. Noise Cancelation. Nobody wants to hear background noise when they're having an important call with someone. The Speak 750 gives you a better quality conversation.
    3. Acoustic Echo Cancelation. This helps to smooth out the audio, and eliminates any echo.

How much does the Speak 750 cost? $362.00. This is a premium product that carries a premium price.
