Glasses Raised in Yuletide Tasting Merriment with The Scotchy Bourbon Boys in Studio

Hey there, bourbon enthusiasts and podcast pals! Tiny Super Nash and CT  just wrapped a festive recording session, and boy, do they have stories to share. From our hilarious matching sweater incident to the nuanced debate over Jack Daniel's place on the whiskey throne, this episode captures the essence of holiday spirits - and we aren't just talking about the kind in our glasses. As we navigate a mini gift exchange and reminisce about the bourbon flavors that tantalized our taste buds, we invite you to join the laughter and learning that unfolded in the studio.

'Tis the season for tastings, and we didn't shy away from the tough questions, like the true merit of opening collectible bottles. Our spirits soared with a rare Russell's bourbon from the fabled Camp Nelson F Rick House, and the heat of the debate matched the warmth of the whiskey. Picture this: a signed bottle, a blind taste test, and a few rounds of friendly banter as we crowned our Booker's of the Year. Let's not forget the anticipation building for our bourbon of the year podcast - your palate won't want to miss it!

As we wrapped up, we couldn't help but reflect on the bonds that bourbon builds. It's not about the labels or the limited editions—it's the shared experiences, the spiced laughter, and the cherished memories. Tune in as we pour out our passion for all things bourbon and reveal the bottles that just might make you rethink your favorites. Remember, a good dram is best enjoyed with great company, so pour yourself a glass and come join the Scotchy Bourbon Boys family for this heartwarming episode. Cheers to bourbon, cheers to friends, and cheers to making every moment unforgettable! Happy Holidays from the Boys

Their launch event, commemorating the 10 year anniversary of emergency management’s imposition of democracy in Detroit, takes place Thursday, October 26th from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Wayne State University.

Pastor She & THE KINGDOM OF GOD

Pastor She & THE KINGDOM OF GOD

Pastor She & The Kingdom of God - Some of you might have read today’s sermon title and pondered whether this message would be edifying to your soul.  In short, yes.  This message will prove to be edifying to everyone who listens and embraces the word of God, whether male or female.

I was recently asked a question concerning female pastors by someone who I love and hold dear to my heart.  Someone that I know loves God and studies the Word of God.  So my thought was if this person is asking questions about female leadership and its place in the building of the Kingdom of God. I am sure many are a little puzzled or confused, even if they haven’t taken to time to ponder over the issue long enough to formulate some questions.

My ministerial goal is to always focus on Biblical truth regarding spiritual revelation as it is revealed and documented in biblical accounts of historical events.  Many only think of the Bible as only being useful spiritually.  But that is detached and inconsistent with God's plan and purpose.

The Bible itself teaches us first natural, then spiritual.  1 Cor 15:46 reads, “The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual.”

When we think about it and examine the truth of this scripture, we can better understand why Jesus spoke in parables.  His parables sought to use the natural to establish in our hearts a natural connection to the truth of the spiritual.

As we move forward into this message, I want to offer a disclaimer, y’all ready.  Ok, here we go;  Common sense is one of the greatest assets God has given us.  Common sense repeatedly validates God’s purpose and will for humanity.

God’s desire is not for us to set aside “common sense”, then pick up the Bible and read it as a guide to the do’s and don’ts of life.

A lot of the false doctrines that are being taught are based on the absence of common sense, absent of the very common sense Jesus exalted as He utilized parables.

As we unveil the consistency of God, we are consistently hit with the element of common sense.

32nd Degree: Master of the Royal Secret

32nd Degree: Master of the Royal Secret

Transcripts, Chapter Markers and Show Notes for all episodes are available from our website - WayOfTheHermit.com.

In this episode, the intricate details of the Degree Ritual and its profound symbolism are explored, shedding light on the culmination of Masonic teachings. The ritual, set against the backdrop of the Vernal Equinox, serves as a symbolic journey through the Scottish Rite degrees, leading to the understanding of the Royal Secret and the Holy Doctrine.

The Encampment, a central symbol of the Degree, is meticulously described, revealing its nested geometric figures that represent the journey of enlightenment from the outer Nonagon to the inner Circle. This journey through the Encampment, from the broad understanding of Masonic philosophy to the individual realization of profound truths, is emphasized as a path to achieving equilibrium between the divine and the human.

The discussion delves deeper into the symbolism of Freemasonry, focusing on the Temple, Light, and the sacred names of God. The vows taken during the Ritual underscore the commitment to fight against despotism and to pursue enlightenment. The significance of the Vernal Equinox, representing the triumph of light over darkness, is highlighted as a metaphor for the renewal of life and the spirit's victory over matter.

The concept of the Logos, or the Divine Word, is explored as a symbol of divine ratification and the transmission of light from initiate to initiate. The metaphorical construction of the "Third Temple" within oneself is presented as the ultimate goal, symbolizing a new conception of divinity brought to life through the individual's journey of self-discovery and enlightenment.

Hungry For God | "Hungry For Repentance"
In this episode, Pastor Chris Kipp begins a new series called "Hungry For God". He begins with a teaching on hungering for repentance from Jonah 3:1-10. Have you ever ruled out a food or a food group only to find out later in life that you really like that food? You felt like you missed out on something good all that time. Repentance can be like that, something that doesn't sound very good at first. But, once you experience what it does in your life, it changes everything. "Go and Make Series: Today we kick off a series called," Go and make disciples!" This series is based on Matthew 28:18-20, where after Jesus' resurrection, he encourages the disciples to GO and make disciples. Here's the thing though they were all SO different. Let's chat about the disciples and how God used each of them. The encouragement through this series is to turn it around and reflect on our own lives. How are WE being used to make disciples? Just like the disciples, we have unique personalities and giftings too! He wants to use all of us.

Daily encouragement for women from encouragHER. At encouragHER, our mission is simple. We want to encourage women. We also want you to join us in becoming an encouragHER yourself. We hope our encouragements will have a domino effect and you will then go on and encourage HER.

7.18 - Clothing Shopping With Fashion Influencers Off 8 Benadryl In Dover Street Market (with Joe La Puma)

Oh man, she's freakin' the allbirds man for allbirds again. Michael and Sol are back, right next door to Mr. Purple, chatting about everything from flirting with someone because they're wearing fly fishing gear to setting up a Prada Marfa but this time on the moon. This episode comes with the conception of one of the greatest ideas for a fashion game (to call this a game is a stretch) show as well: Shopping With Fashion Influencers In Dover Street Market off 8 Benadryl (with Joe La Puma). We promise, this game is a lot more interesting than you'd initially expect.

Hop on in to the spider dimension with the boys and join the fellow shadow people (nightmare, nightmare, nightmare) as you try and understand what's going on with the undercover display on the third floor. The pod is an absolutely terrifying, horror-inducing, will-I-ever-be-normal-oh-god-I-don't-have-hands-anymore-why-don't-I-have-hands-anymore experience, so we hope you enjoy!

    Lots of Love!

Also, as a disclaimer, this is a joke. Taking a lot of Benadryl is obviously dangerous, so don't do it. Thanks for being mindful, y'all.

Ali smo vsi kameleonski srečači? I Kje je tu most?

Ali smo vsi kameleonski srečači? I Kje je tu most?

V članku z naslovom The History of Happiness sem prebrala, da srečo posamezni narodi postavljajo na drugačna mesta v lestvici vrednot. Na primer vzhodnjaki nižje, Američani višje in Latinoameričani zelo zelo visoko.

V kakšnem odnosu sta sreča in smisel?

Menda smo predstavniki mlajših generacij do skrajnosti dionizični.
