TRUMP MAKES THREAT AGAINST BIDEN; MUSK IMPLODES - 11.30.23

SEASON 2 EPISODE 82: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN

A-Block (1:44) SPECIAL COMMENT: Trump has made a stochastic threat against the President of the United States: “Joe Biden should stop his Election Interfering Thugs before it is too late for him and the rest of the Country,” That is a threat and if you wrote it somewhere in public – depending on your rap sheet and past mental health – Secret Service might stop by for a visit. And Trump’s rap sheet includes manifest and growing clinical insanity. Oh and an attempt to violently overthrow the government of the United States. In the same post: “He’s got the Justice Department and others suing me… it opens up a very big and dangerous pandora’s box” which is yet another stochastic call for somebody to attack the Justice Department or its leaders or Jack Smith or all of the above, to say nothing of what – if he keeps saying it this loudly this often, voters might actually notice – is the hundredth repetition of his promise that he will actually do what he’s falsely claiming is being done to him – what he already DID do on a small scale – use the DOJ as a personal tool for revenge and suppression of any opposition.

Trump also attacked Judge Engoron’s clerk and his wife: “Judge Engoron’s Trump Hating wife, together with his very disturbed and angry law clerk, have taken over control of the New York State Witch Hunt Trial aimed at me…” Again, this is the clerk he has doxxed, and now threatened; and added to this is Engoron’s wife. Five times in just four minutes yesterday Trump posted screenshots sent to him by the lunatic Laura Loomr of posts a Twitter-X account with various anti-Trump memes, over which Trump wrote “This is the judge’s wife saying this” and “Another from Judge Engoron’s Wife” and “Yet another from Judge Engoron’s wife” and “Judge Engoron’s Wife” and finally he ran out and just repeated “Judge Engoron’s Wife.”Spoiler alert: it’s NOT Judge Engoron’s Wife. 22 days ago she told Newsweek quote “I do not have a Twitter account. This is not me. I have not posted any anti-Trump messages.”

Even if Mrs. Engoron IS somehow lying, boldly and on-the-record and with no wiggle room of course as we know, what a judge’s wife does in her life or on social media is immediate grounds for the judge’s impeachment. Right Ginni Thomas?

And if he wasn’t self-destructing when he endorsed the Anti-semitic Great Replacement theory last week, or if he wasn’t self-destructing when he endorsed Pizzagate on Tuesday, he WAS self-destructing at the New York Times Dealbook Summit yesterday, daring advertisers not to advertise, implying no one could blackmail him with mere money. And congrats to interviewer Andrew Ross Sorkin for not getting any of it on him when Musk turned into a human debris field.

A lesson, kids: never let them inject the Ozempic into your brain.

B-Block (23:40) IN SPORTS: Aaron Rodgers plays a little football and doesn't rip anything. And could the biggest baseball import from Japan make his decision based on what uniform number a team is willing to give him? (29:09) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: The cognitive decline of Sean Hannity, Ron DeSantis "literally" standing in front of a freight train, and I'm back on Twitter-X thanks to the firm hand of Lauren Boebert.

C-Block (34:30) EVERY DOG HAS ITS DAY: Myra - and her unborn puppies - in Devore, Ca. (35:30) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: Every year at this time I am reminded that a Major League Baseball team once managed to get me fired from a job I hadn't started at. Which means that since 2000 they have done that, as often as they've won the World Series.

    SMITH PREPARING A 3RD TRUMP INDICTMENT? MAYBE A 4TH? 8.9.23

    SMITH PREPARING A 3RD TRUMP INDICTMENT? MAYBE A 4TH? 8.9.23

SEASON 2 EPISODE 9 COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN

A-Block (1:43) SPECIAL COMMENT: Is Jack Smith preparing a THIRD set of indictments against Trump? Maybe a FOURTH? The Grand Jury which indicted Trump LAST week is still meeting this week; they were in there yesterday. And Smith is deep in the weeds on Trump de-frauding his cultists and getting them to give him money to fix a “stolen election” he knew damn well WASN’T stolen. But the Special Counsel is also clearly still looking at how Trump tried to stop the transfer of presidential power. And Fani Willis will reportedly go to HER Atlanta Grand Jury as early as Tuesday. While they’re already blocking roads around the courthouse, Trump is already pre-smearing her, and he's already forgotten that he demanded the indictment of Joe Biden in October 2020.

Plus: Trump has already pre-contempted a court order that hasn’t been issued yet. He says even if Judge Chutkan restricts what he can and can’t talk about, he’ll talk about it. The hearing is Friday.

Re-indicted cause it feels so good. And yes, I’m singing that.

B-Block (20:00) IN SPORTS: A chant of "Free Kevin Brown" broke out at the Baltimore Orioles' game last night. Their suspended play-by-play man will be back Friday, but that was the plan all along. And his suspension points to the plan in far too many baseball, basketball, and hockey TV booths: All reporting, all criticism, in fact anything not gushingly glowing about the home team will result in suspension. It's been coming for a century and it's here: the sports play-by-play broadcast is there only to brainwash you that your team is perfect, always has been, and you need to give it more money. (32:45) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: The words you never want to hear from Matt Schlapp: I'm hanging out. Mike Pence makes a funny about January 6; too bad he didn't DO something about it. And mega-fraud God-salesman Franklin Graham attacks the U.S. Women's Soccer Team. Jesus would punch him in the face.

C-Block (37:35) EVERY DOG HAS ITS DAY: Milo in Tennessee (38:40) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: It is now 35 years since I got the greatest scoop of my career, using the least amount of effort. The Wayne Gretzky Trade!

Scott Braun: Saying Yes To New Opportunities

Scott Braun: Saying Yes To New Opportunities

This week Andrew talks with 4x Emmy Award winning broadcaster Scott Braun. Scott is the Executive Producer & Host of Foul Territory — a new digital daily live show he launched last month with former Major League Baseball stars Todd Frazier, Adam Jones, Erik Kratz, AJ Pierzynski, & baseball insider Ken Rosenthal. Throughout his career, Scott has held various roles at MLB Network, NHL Network, SiriusXM, and many more. He is hard working, innovative, and a team player that always pitches in wherever he can to help. In this episode, Andrew asks Scott for a deep dive into his career and everything he’s been up to lately building something new and entrepreneurial. This conversation is about far more than baseball, TV, and media. It’s all about what’s possible when you follow your passions and say yes to new opportunities.

WE MUST KICK RUSSIA OUT OF THE U.N. 10.11.22

WE MUST KICK RUSSIA OUT OF THE U.N. 10.11.22

EPISODE 51: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN

A-Block (1:43) SPECIAL COMMENT: Putin is doubling down and we must act. We must avoid war, so we must DO everything else. We must at least explore dissolving the United Nations and re-forming it without Russia (3:05) More practically, Biden must reverse his September decision and declare Russia a State Sponsor of Terrorism - it's what the oligarchs fear most (4:27) And the need to do SOMETHING is not just about Russia. It's about Russia's propagandists here - paid or not - like Elon Musk, Tucker Carlson, CPAC, and Michael Flynn. We have to make it career-ending to supply the Kremlin with anti-Ukraine sound bites.

B-Block (15:09) EVERY DOG HAS ITS DAY: Al, in Miami (16:25) POSTSCRIPTS TO THE NEWS: The lone Ohio Senate Debate is a TKO for Tim Ryan over J.D. Vance, or, if you prefer, "Hillbilly Eulogy"; Maggie Haberman battered by BBC; LA Council resignations not enough. (20:15) IN SPORTS: Baseball lifer gets the big gig in Philly; the five-year plan in Carolina turns into a five-week plan; Tommy Tuberville blowback hits sports (22:23) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Candace Owens, Owen Shroyer, and Jason Whitlock defend Kanye West and antisemitism, and compete with Lauren Boebert and the Secretary of the Army for the crown.

C-Block (27:08) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: Five different baseball franchises have tried to get me fired - at ESPN, at KTLA, at Fox Sports. Only one has kinda sorta succeeded. The remarkable story from ten years ago: when MLB Network offered me a show, and then reneged when threatened by the Yankees.

MLB and NHL Network Jon Paul Morosi In The Pressrow With Jonah Sigel

MLB and NHL Network Jon Paul Morosi In The Pressrow With Jonah Sigel

In sports, there are great stories behind athletes, coaches, and staff. Those stories tend to come to life as a result of amazing storytellers, typically in the media. It is rare that those in the media share their own stories, as those who report on others tend to be relatively private about their own lives and/or they don't believe their own tale is all that remarkable or interesting.

Jon Paul Morosi's story is a really good one and in the years I have covered the media beat, I've yet to discover anyone with a bad thing to say about him.

Growing up in a small town in Michigan he was a 5'8 high school quarterback, he was raised right and yadda yadda yadda ended up at Harvard, where he earned a degree in environmental studies. Somehow, connecting dots he ends up living in Ann Arbor Michigan and is amongst the top baseball reporters in the country. A prominent presence on MLB Network, and now adding in NHL work for the NHL Network JP's story is quite amazing. If only it stopped there. He is married to, in his own words a real hero, a doctor, together they are parents of three children. He continues to interview and advise young students in their desires to attend Harvard.

Listen in to hear JP tell his story, his roots, where he got his experience, who his mentors are and how he has become so successful ~ In The Pressrow
