    A nossa reflexão de hoje é sobre qual é a educação que temos que dar para as futuras gerações, para que elas possam enfrentar o novo e o mundo no futuro? Como ajudá-las a olhar para um futuro tão incerto?

    Salman Khan é o fundador da Khan Academy, uma plataforma online de educação livre e organização sem fins lucrativos, que trabalha com vídeos educativos no Youtube e já recebeu milhões e milhões de visitantes virtuais. Ele escreveu o livro “Um mundo uma escola. A Educação Reiventada”, no Brasil publicado pela Editora Intrínseca. É um livro interessante e nele Khan faz uma forte crítica do sistema educativo tradicional nesse mundo de incertezas e de altas velocidades.

    Salman Khan costuma dizer que a escola tradicional não responde ao funcionamento do cérebro e que o mundo necessita de pessoas criativas, curiosas, investigativas,  que sejam capazes de criar e implementar novas ideias e que estejam dispostas a aprender sempre, ao longo da vida.

    No livro Khan faz o seguinte questionamento: “uma vez que não podemos prever exatamente o que os jovens de hoje vão precisar saber em dez ou vinte anos, o que lhes ensinamos é menos importante do que como eles aprendem a ensinar a si próprios”[i].

    Para Khan “...a tarefa crucial da educação é ensinar as crianças como aprender. Conduzi-las a querer aprender. Alimentar a curiosidade, encorajar a capacidade de se maravilhar, e instilar confiança para que no futuro tenham as ferramentas para encontrar respostas a muitas das perguntas que ainda não sabemos nem sequer fazer”.[ii]

    076 Grant Sanderson is the creator behind 3Blue1Brown, a YouTube channel using artistic visuals to teach people math. Prior to 3b1b, Grant had worked at Khan Academy where he teaches multivariable calculus. Before that he was an undergrad at Stanford studying maths and CS. Grant’s YouTube channel has over 4.11 million subscribers and his videos received over 200 million views. 

    Fun Fact: We were recently at a cocktail/dinner party and our friends referred to him as the “Taylor Swift of the nerd world.”
