looking backward

We need to look backward and forward when we approach the Lord’s Supper. We need to look backward toward the shadow of the exodus that anticipates the glory of the cross. We also need to look forward to the coming of God’s Kingdom where he will make all things new.

Let us never forget the cost of our freedom, both civic and spiritual. It is always "Innocent Blood". And let us never forget our call from the Lord.
