I believe the saints of the Gospel of Christ see the signs of our time, but perhaps we fail to sense the urgency of our day. When you study Jesus Life, as we will note in the Message today; He warned them, blessed them, taught them, and revealed Truth to them. The emblems of His Sacrifice opened their eyes and they knew Him. He vanished and they said: “Did not our heart burn within us!”

Portals to God

Never has there been a group of people more disappointed than the followers of Jesus. They had pinned all of their hopes on him. How could he now be gone? They hoped now to slip away quietly, stay under the radar, and hopefully avoid a rendezvous with their own crosses. But as three of the women came to the tomb to embalm Jesus’ body, they asked one another, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance of the tomb?” Listen as Pastor Marc Sharp describes the most significant event in the history of mankind.

The hallmark of the book of Jonah is Jonah's disobedience to preach to the infidel, pagan Ninevites, guilty of what would be called atrocities by almost any standard, ancient or modern. But there is a much more grave sin in the story than simple disobedience - one that has traditionally gone unnoticed. God's message to us in this is so important, as we are all tempted by this same sin. Many centuries later, Christ Himself will refer to the "sign of Jonah". However, that's not what Scripture records. God continues, "so that they may worship me." We see that the Exodus is a journey from one master to another. Listen to learn how being a slave can bring you true freedom.
