The Brochure on Father's Day - A Love Letter of Sorts

The Brochure on Father's Day - A Love Letter of Sorts

Being an only child, my relationship with my dad was key.  My mom and I didn't always get along or see eye to eye, but my dad and I had an understanding, for most of our lives together. He had a good sense of humor, he was hardworking and he had a joy for life.  For the simple things.  Was he a good parent?  Maybe not in the traditional ways that you would think of a dad.

In this episode, I'll share my stories about how I grew up without any advice from him, or really any direction.  And how I discovered that it was a family.....trait.  You'll hear about how my parents worked out their differences, to a certain extent, and how I learned from all the interactions, but maybe not in the traditional way.

Relationships with dads are so important to girls and the women they become.  Let's celebrate fathers, and all that they contribute to our lives.  Happy Father's Day.

    Live from Los Angeles

    Live from Los Angeles

This week’s episode was recorded live in front of an audience at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles! Our first case is LINUS ITEM VETO. Sarah still sleeps with the tattered remains of her baby blanket. Her fiance, Go Fact Yourself co-host J. Keith van Straaten, finds it very upsetting to see and touch. He calls it “The Monster,” and he wants it out of their bed. Sarah wants to keep sleeping with it!

Then, Jordan Morris joins to hear TATER TORT: Lucas calls himself “the humble son of a potato farmer.” His wife Laura says this is wrong because his father was actually a manager for a large American potato chip company!

Thanks to reddit users u/Ironymaiden_ and /KillerPotato_BMW for naming this week’s cases! To suggest a title for a future episode, keep an eye on the Maximum Fun subreddit at maximumfun.reddit.com!

    Live from SF Sketchfest

This week’s episode was recorded live in front of an audience at the Sydney Goldstein Theater! Our first case is SCOTTISH RITE OF WAY: Nate brings the case against his partner Chan. The two live together in a building that once was a Masonic lodge. One of the rooms in their apartment has a strange door that opens onto a dark and mysterious hallway. Nate wants to investigate the hallway. Chan wants him to leave the mystery door alone!

Episode 5: Welcome to Port Gamble

Episode 5: Welcome to Port Gamble

In this episode we take you to Franklin Masonic Lodge #5 in beautiful Port Gamble, Washington where we have gotten more than a few EVPs and will be going back to for some time because it is so active. Why? Well, you have to listen to find out. In this edition of Tami's Tech Review, Tami talks cameras and lighting. I bet you can guess what the most inexpensive camera is; because you probably already own it.
