It's going to be a long, lonely winter where nobody makes love. I still deal with the fallout from the "Art of Livin'" virtual event I attended. And, it's time to embrace being obsolete. Enjoy.

Matthew McConaughey is offering life advice online, and I was dumb enough to participate. Also, it's Independence Day, and Mr. Rainwater and Jessica are live from a cook out. Enjoy.

We begin with a rundown of Tuesday night's election results. There are signs - some very positive signs - even in blue parts of the country. Next, we touch on the latest gun-grabbing effort by Uvalde native Matthew McConaughey? Yes, "The Wedding Planner" star is playing the role of moderate Texan, but is actually Pres. Joe Biden's best supporting actor in this 'dramedy.' Of course, you then get an update on the fledgling economy and I give you some choice quotes from our deeply confused Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen. And then, our daily woke update. Among other headlines, according to Pew, over 5% of young adults identify as trans or "non-binary." And this happened seemingly overnight. Yikes. Our first guest today is Rep. Kat Cammack (R-FL) who tries to help us make sense of why her colleagues think we have $40 billion to send to Ukraine and then she shares which gun control efforts she fears most. Then, Breitbart News' Senior Editor-at-Large and host of "Breitbart News Sunday," Joel Pollak, breaks down the bombshell election results from California.
Paul and Bob dissect a recent list of the so-called “25 All-Time Best Football Movies” published recently by USA Today. The “Pigskin Pod Cats” discuss what should and what shouldn’t be labeled a football movie. They discuss the good choices in the list and what they believe are awful choices on the list.
This week the Rom Com Rewind Podcast rewatch the 2009 classic Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. Is this Matthew McConaughey at his MOST McConaughey? What even happened to Jennifer Garner!?? Some guy once hit on Sarah by saying Drake lyrics. Devin asked a Bridesmaid if she wanted to "make a bad decision tonight." We talk about a lot this episode.

Some family dynamics and shoddy plot lines in “Too Close for Christmas” cause Sarah to lose patience with Paul. Squinting, hooking up at weddings, and whittling (yes, WHITTLING) are just a few topics discussed. Mary misses a big theme presented in the movie, but this is a surprise to no one.

My review of Matthew McConaughey's book, "Greenlights."
Music © by Capazunda.
Matthew McConaughey is a big celebrity around these parts. He graduated about an hour from here and lives in Austin. He is known for three words: "Alright, Alright, Alright." He is also known for a demeanor and attitude that is laid back and positive.
However, in his new book "Greenlights," he reveals that there are some things that are non negotiable in his family. There are three things that are not alright. He was raised not to say three things, and he now is raising his three kids the same way. While McConaughey may not be a man of the Word, these three decisions align very well with the Word of God!
- How important are words in your life of faith?
- If we use extreme language in our home, how will that affect our kids?
- What power does "I love you" have over "I hate you"?
- What power does "I can" over "I can't"?
- What power does the truth have over lies?
